Which is more enticing? The infinity pool, or the warm Pacific ocean?
Location: Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexican Riviera, Mexico (30 minutes North of Puerto Vallarta)
Accommodations: Villa, 4 Bedrooms + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 4.5 Baths (Sleeps 8)
Keywords: Estate: Casa + 2 Casitas
The coast of central Mexico is famed for two spectacularly diverse terrains: sweeping beaches of glistening sand kissed by waves that never drop below 70 degree F (21 degree C), and thriving jungles of palms, vines, and vibrantly colored flowers. Between these two different realms, CASA KESTOS awaits your visit.
The three houses of CASA KESTOS turn their faces to the blue Pacific waters of Sayulita Bay, while ten acres of private jungle stands sentinel at their backs. Caught in this natural embrace, the amenities of CASA KESTOS provide a third environment - your own private microclimate of civilization and relaxation.
Hovering above the beach, the edge of the infinity swimming pool merges with the horizon, past the diving pelicans and local fishing boats, beyond the breaching whales and dolphins, where the impossibly blue sky and the cerulean ocean meet. To the south, the beach hooks around to the excellent restaurants and other amenities in the traditional fishing village of Sayulita: close enough to walk to, far enough to forget about if you prefer your time more private and personal. Wake to the sound of rolling waves, whispering palms, and tropical birds. Go to sleep caressed by a gentle breeze perfumed by sea and jungle. What you do between is up to you.
"The blazing orange, vermillion, and burnt sienna sunset chaperones our traditional evening sips, while we watch for the famous day-ending 'green flash' on the Pacific horizon. We wish we could soar along the wave crest like the squadron of pelicanos did this afternoon..." -- A CASA KESTOS guest.
The MAIN HOUSE features two bedrooms looking on the sea, each with a king bed, plus the private convenience of its own sitting area and full bath - one with a Jacuzzi. An additional powder room available to all is just off the full kitchen, which features a commercial stove, microwave, blender, toaster, juicer, and coffee maker, and leads to the laundry room. The large, fireplace-graced living room opens onto the patio, where the infinity pool’s water and barbeque grill’s glow echo the elemental interplay between sea and sunset that is a highlight of every stay at CASA KESTOS.
Lucky visitors staying in the GUEST BUNGALOW will enjoy a cozy architect-designed environment, featuring a king bed, a full bath, a kitchen, two separate patios, and a living room with a queen sofabed. Located next to the other dwellings, the CASITA efficiency studio still shares their view of the beach, along with its own bath and kitchen.

The real Mexican adventure of yester year.

We have traveled most of the world and been in some places that were way to rustic as well as places that were way to modern, we believe that Casa Kestos is unique as the area is remote but you can see civilization and even walk to it. If you want to explore or do nothing and enjoy the beauty, you can do both or nothing. The views are exceptional (actually the best we have ever had). The little town of Sayulita is within walking distance and offers a taste of old Mexico mixed in with the 60's surfing mentality. The accommodations have this great rustic look however kitchen and bathroom appointments are state of the art . We felt that the price for up to 8 people was one of the best values we have ever found. What a great find this was and we will be going back again and again.

I stayed at Casa Kestos a few years back and had one of the most glorious weeks of my life. You live like a rock star as you enjoy the funky surfer/bohemian town of Sayulita. Its a great place for the adventurous looking for something exotic and off the trashy touristy path. Hike right from the property to hidden beaches or to town. Use cabs at night!! Sunsets will take your breath away. The photos do not do Casa Kestos justice. When we arrived from the airport and walked through the house to the front patio we were speechless. Four couples can share this place with total privacy between the two suites in the main house and the bungalow and casita studio. This is NOT for the high rise PV loving visitors. If there is a little hippy, explorer zen life in you, this is IT!!!! The staff is awesome and will help you out.
