Relax in this 2400 square foot, home-away-from-home on the northern tip of beautiful 7 mile long Highland Lake in Washington, New Hampshire. Front and rear of the house have wheelchair ramps on the main floor. The rear one has direct bedroom access. The bathroom on the main floor has heavy duty safety rails and the shower is extra large (wand style shower head too!).
The house is located on a one acre lot in a no-wake cove. There is very low boat traffic and almost no jet-skis. It is a very peaceful location. Even airplanes flying overhead are rare!
The beach on the property is 8' wide and 50' long of soft sand that gently slopes into the sandy bottomed lake. The little ones love to play in the sand at the beach for hours. Older kids like to swim to and play on the raft to escape the adults.
There is a raft with a ladder anchored just off shore to play or relax on. We also have a 10' aluminum dock to tie-up your boat (up to 20').
If you like to fish, this is the place to be. There are only two public boat launches (miles away) so lake access is limited. Other launches are for property owners that belong to a beach association so there is minimal traffic. The lake is teeming with bass(large and smallmouth), pickerel, yellow perch, dace, sunfish and other warm water fish. Fishing tournaments here produce record catches.
Our kids love to fish from the shore and the dock, but you can also hop in either of our two canoes and explore other hot spots on the lake. With 7 miles of water it's plenty big for water skiing, jet-skiing, and sailing.
We require that there be NO PETS and NO SMOKING because some of our guests and family experience severe allergic reactions. Thank you for your empathy!
Mobile homes and camp trailers are not allowed on the property.
