The cabin sits on a fenced triple lot nestled between trees just across from the National Forest. Enjoy hiking, sledding, or cross-country skiing in the forest just a few hundred feet away, skiing on the nearby slopes, or evenings by the fire. The open layout of the cabin provides a perfect atmosphere for a cozy and relaxing get-away.
The interior is professionally remodeled and includes a new stone fireplace with gas starter in the open beamed living room. A portable air conditioning (A/C) unit is also available to cool down during those warm summer days. The beautifully designed and spacious master bathroom has a two-person soaking tub and separate shower. The place is as described, perfect little getaway for a small family, I really loved the fact my dog's could rome around the completely fenced in yard. The cabin itself is fully loaded, flat screen, cable, wireless internet good size kitchen with all of the things needed to make a great meal. It's close (within 5-10 min) to everything you need yet far enough away you don't even hear any traffic or noise at night...there are no negatives to this place as far were concerned...it was great!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

This cabin was perfect for my family! There was plenty of snow to play in in the yard. If you go to the end of the cul de sac there is forest with the perfect hills for sledding and playing in the snow. We were the only ones there. It was amazing. Very quiet street and easy to get to. Thanks for letting us stay there! Will defintely come back.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My wife and I just got back from a wonderful trip up at the Zypher cabin!! We had a great time. You can't beat the amenities for the price. The cabin was well updated and very clean. We greatly appreciated the firewood and the giant tub the most. We also loved the "options" of linens and refund of cleaning fee!! We always leave the places we rent in better shape than when we get there. It was nice to get out cleaning fee back for our effort. We look forward to more stays at the Zypher house in the future!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

My daughter and I had a few days off and were luck enough to stay at Zephyr house with our 2 dogs. The house is comfortable and clean with an amazing yard. The extra large fenced yard even had a swing that my daughter loved. The tv had Netflix and Hulu hooked up so we didn't have to hit Blockbuster for entertainment. The wifi worked great too. We were able to add on a night at the last minute and the owner was very accommodating. We were hoping to stay there again on our next trip but it's already booked so plan ahead.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

My husband and I spent a nice, long weekend here with our dogs. The house is very sweet and in a very quiet area. The fenced in yard was perfect for the dogs. There is some hiking right up the street. (Be aware of the barbed wire fence if you have small children or dogs!) There is a great big deck for relaxing on - and a gigantic bathtub for soaking in! Well maintained property. We would love to come back again! Thanks, Cheryl - you were so easy and pleasant to deal with.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This house is exactly as described, a cozy little house. My husband and I stayed here with our two kids( ages 8 and 3.) The open kitchen made it possible to cook and be with my family at the same time. The bedroom allowed minimal amount of light in which is great if you want to sleep in. The bed was very comfortable. My girls absolutely loved the huge bath tub. I have stayed in other rentals that were bigger but, the set up wasn't as good. This was perfect. We will definitely be returning. Reading the house diary I noticed many return families. I can understand why. The owner was great in answering any questions I had. She also gave us clear directions and returned our deposit promptly, very professional.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

My husband and I were looking for a little cabin to retreat to for the weekend to celebrate our birthdays and get a little R&R. The Zephyr house was perfect and the owner was very accomodating with answering questions and made the whole process of paying and checking in a breeze. As you can see from the pictures the cabin is very cute and perfect for a couple. Cozy fireplace and lots of heaters. We were there when a huge snow storm swept through and we stayed toasty warm. Kitchen was perfect to cook our meals in and the master bath soaking tub was an extra luxury. We brought our dog and she loved the secure fenced back yard area. You can't really tell from the pictures but the yard is pretty big and there is a wrap around deck. The neighborhood is quiet. A lot of these places are stacked on top of each other but this one feels more private. If you walk up the hill you are right in the national forest. We highly recommend this cabin especially if you are just looking for a place to relax that is charmingly rustic without roughing it. Feels like home and we will definitely be going back.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My boyfriend and I just got back from our Big Bear escape today and loved our cabin!!! What I personally liked about it was that it had that newly updated interior (unlike most cabins I've rented before). The owners had the place stocked with cable, internet, games, appliances in the kitchen, etc. The bathroom tub was also amazing. I am a very tall woman (6'1) and it was the perfect size for me to take a long relaxing bubble bath:):) The cabin is also very close to the preserve(I believe) and we took an amazing hike. I will definitely be returning to this cabin in the near future:):) Thanks again:)Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Our family of four had a very good time at this cabin. It was exactly as advertised and was really a bargain. The proximity to the national forest was also great--fun places to sled and build snowmen.Recommended for: Families with young children.
