Newly redecorated and remodeled, ground level, two bedroom, two bath, condominium with an open garden patio. Located in a private, safe and secure, six unit, gated complex in the heart of the historical part of El Centro, a short, flat and easy walk to the market and Jardin. We are in a wonderful, vibrant neighborhood with remodeled houses, a pastry shop, barbershop, butcher shop and several small tiendas close by. Enjoy a quite, peaceful escape with natural light, green foliage, vibrant colors, pepper trees, lots of birds and the wonderful sounds of bells and the daily rhythms of magical San Miguel.
Everything you need is a short walk away, including excellent restaurants, shops, sight-seeing tours, coffee shops, a grocery store and public transportation. Short walk to the public market and Jardin. No steps or hills to climb. Our fully stocked kitchen is a joy for cooking. We have cable television, VCR, CD player, telephone and internet service. Our traditional Mexican neighborhood is alive with children, shops, light and colors. Maid service is provided once a week and all utilities are included.

Secure, well equipped, and flat walking to the mercado

I stayed at the condo for a week in September, 2011. While I was there the owners were completing a very effective refresh of the place including new living room furniture (comfy couch and armchair), new linens, new hot water heater and shower heads, weather proofing, fast wifi, beautiful ceramics and more. The condo is well equipped, functional, and lovely. For me, this really matters in a rental. The small condo development is at the end of a privada (narrow private street) in a very Mexican neighborhood. There are always little kids on the street. The condo development itself is secure and peaceful. It is a five minute walk to the mercado along a classic San Miguel beautiful narrow street. The street is also well travelled by taxis, which was nice if I was tired or late for something. I found the condo to be a nice refuge after a busy day around town.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+.
