Come to Sunset Island, park your car, and enjoy Ocean City's premier self-contained resort, with maybe the best sunset watching anywhere, for your spring, summer, or fall vacation. New for 2009 we are offering both mini-week (either Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday) and full week rentals (either Friday to Friday or Monday to Monday). Our new, luxury condominium has views of beautiful Assawoman Bay with its wildlife (saw nearly 50 bird species in recent island walks) and passing boats and is only a two-block stroll to the ocean identified in a Washington Post travel review as the best section of the beach in Ocean City. Perhaps best of all, from our 27-foot balcony you overlook the stunning illuminated, interactive fountains, and one-acre water park that is the community centerpiece and playground for kids of all ages.
The unit itself is an end unit with windows on 3 sides and has been expertly decorated and is sparkling from top to bottom. It has an extra-large, fully-equipped kitchen and bright and airy great room. While you probably will not be able to resist being outside there is a large TV with VCR and DVD players. The master suite has a king-sized bed and TV, a private luxury bath with soaking tub, and separate balcony access. The unit's hallway bath is oversized as well. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed and TV, and the third bedroom has a fun double-size bed/ single bed pyramid bunk.
The community features a huge, gorgeous outdoor pool, located directly on the Bay and our private beach and has a mushroom style waterfall and water volleyball area. We also have a spectacular community center with its indoor pool covered by a retractable roof that is opened in good weather, fitness center, club room, and library with free wireless internet access. Starting mid-May and running through mid-September a terrific bar and restaurant/grill are open as well with poolside service. Boat slips, multiple private bay beaches with chairs and benches for sunset viewing, kayak put-in points, community walking paths, crabbing pier, and canal make Sunset Island a self-contained, first-class resort without equal in Ocean City.
