Golf Villa 1901 is a bright and beautifully furnished, just updated and freshly painted ground floor, deluxe end unit(larger than interior units)with 1300 square feet of living space. Our villa easily sleeps eight with a king bed in the master, two queens in the guest room, and a brand new queen sofa bed in the living room. We have furnished our unit in tropical decor with all the comforts of home, including cable TV and HBO in the living room and both bedrooms. A seasonally heated pool is adjacent to our building. A beautiful lagoon with a lighted fountain is just outside our back door. Sit on the patio and watch the golfers try to sink that putt on the 4th hole, or look for our turtles to pop their heads up (the turtles and black ducks love to be fed).
This luxurious full-service resort is the only one of its kind in Panama City Beach. Its amazing accommodations both on and off the beach -- both championship golf to tennis and spa -- set the stage for a beach experience like no other. The villa side of the resort boasts a challenging nine-hole Par 3 golf course, several pools, lighted tennis courts, shuffleboard, stocked lakes, fully equipped fitness center, pro shop and conference center. A short walk through the resort and across the private pedestrian bridge brings you to our beautiful 11,000 square foot Lagoon Pool with tropical palm trees, islands, waterfalls, two hot tubs, as well as plenty of lounge chairs for relaxing and listening to the live entertainment provided during spring, summer and fall. If you prefer, a tram runs regularly from the villas to the beach during busy season, and can be called to your door during other months. Enjoy casual dining at the Oceans Bar and Grill where you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner inside or outside on the patio, a snack or your favorite drink at the Bimini Sand Bar, Pizza from Pizza Hut, Starbucks Coffee and a Krispy Kreme Doughnut or ice cream at the new Edgie's Market. Room service, something unique for resort condominiums, is available across the resort. A hair salon is located on the property for your use.
In addition to our Executive Par Three Golf Course inside the resort, the Hombre, a 27-hole championship golf course (which hosts the Ben Hogan Classic every March) is less than five minutes away. Restaurants, ice cream parlor, entertainment complex (sports bar, video games, skating, bowling, etc.) and miniature golf are across the street, and the new Ripley's Believe it or Not is nearby. A Publix Supermarket, video store, nail salon, card shop, and ice cream parlor/fudge shop are directly behind the resort. Pier Park, a new multi-use facility, has opened just down the road with 150 shops and restaurants and a multi-theatre cinema. Kids young and old will enjoy Shipwreck Island Water Park right around the corner, and Gulf World Marine Park (swim with the dolphins if you like, or just enjoy the show) is just a short distance away. So much to do --so little time. Of course, if you're like me, it's enough to just hang out at the pool or beach.

I require a refundable reservation/security deposit to hold the dates you request ($200-$300) which will be returned after unit is inspected and keys and pool tags are mailed back to me. This refundable deposit is over and above total rental price.

- Ours is a large (almost 1300 square feet), ground floor end unit, furnished in tropical style. You can go over to the beach and enjoy all the hullabaloo, then come back to our quiet and peaceful golf villa and relax.

Year Purchased: 1988
My late husband Tommy and I were real "beach" people, and living in the Atlanta, GA area we could always travel to a Georgia beach, a North or South Carolina beach, or a Florida beach within a few hours. Needless to say, our family always spent our vacations at some beach. I'm retired now and my husband Mickey and I enjoy traveling as much as possible, as well as spending time at Edgewater Beach. We have 7 grandchildren between us and spend a lot of time at softball games, baseball games basketball games, football games (the granddaughters all cheer); in other words, our world is our grandchildrens' world right now -- as it should be.
Why the Owner Chose Edgewater Beach Resort
When my two children were growing up, we always spent our vacations on the East coast of Florida -- Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach (4 of us in one motel room!!), and then we discovered condos at New Smyrna Beach (whew!) when they were teenagers. I had only been to Panama City Beach once for a weekend and it rained the entire time we were there -- didn't like it a bit. Things changed when the AT&T Telephone Pioneers held their annual convention at Edgewater Beach in Panama City in 1988. I absolutely loved Edgewater Beach Resort and, since my husband and I had always wanted to own something at the beach, we bought our 2-bedroom condo in April of that year. We love it there, and when we visit, I just don't want to come back home to Monroe, GA.
The Unique Benefits of this Golf Villa Condominium
We love the Lagoon Pool and the fact that we can walk, take the tram, or drive over and park at the beach if we're taking a lot of stuff over. I actually love our unit in the Golf Villas. We stayed in the Towers several times while renting out our unit and, although it's great to be there on the beach, I didn't like the elevators. I like just being able to park and walk into our ground floor unit, and it's so quiet there. Enjoy the beach and come back to the quiet.
