Built in 2004, and perfectly situated on an inviting mountainside, about a mile south of Ski Run Road. One stay at this property is sure to bring you back. The combination of professionally made rustic furniture and southwestern decor, added to the Sierra Blanca view, make this one of Ruidoso's best cabins. A large two car garage, over 480 square feet of deck and a six person hot tub add to the comfort. There is also a hiking trail into the forest, just off the deck. We traded our Telluride Ski condo for a week at this fun Ruidoso property last June and the six of us had a ball—as promised in the VRBO ad. There is much to do in the area (race track, casinos, galleries, quaint shops, trails and hiking, and much more) and restaurants from the very exclusive to the best southwestern grub you've had in a long time. Evenings on the deck are peaceful and night brings out more stars than you've seen in quite a while. Local wildlife visited every morning, offering great close-up photographic opportunities. Don't miss Wendell's Restaurant at Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino. A gourmands delight!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

The Alpine Escape was fantastic! I highly reccmmend it. Then Owners didn't miss a beat. Very clean and comfortable. Everything you could possible need is there waiting for your arrival. The deck has a breath taking view and gazing at the star-filled sky at night, while soaking in the hot tub is superb!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with teenagers.

I just completed my stay at the Alpine Escape and was very impressed with the facility and location. Decor was very tastefully done and total environment very comfortable. Deck time was probably the highlight with cool mornings and cooler evenings (after sun went below hillside). Hot tub was very inviting but used sparingly, although water remained crystal clear at a constant temperature. Immediate area remained mostly quiet with very slight traffic noise occasionally. Large garage was very accommodating and convenient when arriving back from town with packages, groceries, etc.....I would highly recommend this Private Cabin for up to 3 couples or a family with several children. One recommendation to the owner would be to provide an inexpensive blender among the other appliances so generously provided.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
