We loved this condo unit, the views from the lanai where we ate all our meals is spectacular. You could watch the whales jump, the sun setting, and the boats going by all from your chair. We have stayed at 2 other units at this same complex in the past, but this one by far was the nicest and we would highly recommend it. Dorli is so nice to deal with, and we appreciated the extras like the free phone to Canada, and the beach equipment, car rental tips etc. Thanks so much Dorli for sharing your condo with us, Aloha from the B.C. islanders!

We had booked our dream vacation at Dorli & Sigi's condo. Unfortunately for us, I became ill and we had to cancel. When I informed Dorli of my situation, she immediately told us not to worry, that she would do her best to work things out for us. Within 4 days Dorli refunded our total rental fee. What great people to deal with. It's not often that one gets to interact with people of such genuine integrity.

We enjoyed the cross ventilation in the condo which helped keep the unit cool without air conditioning. The view of the ocean from the first floor patio was great. The proximity to the beach and to walking areas was excellent. The amenities of the Maui Kamaole including the pool and tennis courts were a nice additon to a good time spent on the island.

Thank you so much for the week in your condo. It was so relaxing and beautiful there. We loved being able to sit on the lanai and have your morning coffee and watch the boats take off for the day or watch the sun set at night. My daughter loved just laying on the lounge chairs and looking at the stars at night. The condo was so nice and meet all of our needs and more. It was so helpful and we really enjoyed having boggie boards, chairs and ice chest right there to use when ever you wanted to go to the beach. Thank you for all your help and information before we left it made it easier once we got there to know were everything was. We do hope that we can go back again.

During our first ever trip to Hawaii - we stayed in unit G 106 of Maui Kamaole for five days, before spending time on the Big Island and Kauai. If we ever get back to Maui, we would stay there again. The condo was exactly as I imagined it - and the beach across the street is wonderful (so are the neighboring beaches - we swam in each of them). We also found the location to be ideal - basically halfway between Hana and Kaanapali. We drove the road to Hana one day - continuing on around the island (I HIGHLY recommend it, regardless of what the guidebooks and car rental places say - it's very drivable and thoroughly enjoyable). We spend another day in Kaanapali (going as far as the Nagalele Blowhole). Because of our location, both were day trips - and we were back in our condo in time to cook dinner. OK - now the details. First, the beach. The beach is directly across a busy road from Maui Kamaole, but once across, you truly won't think of the road again. There is a HUGE field of grass (a park, really) that buffers the beach from the road - and the beach itself is fantastic. Unlike Kaanapali, the beach here stays shallow for a good distance...the waves were gentle, and there was almost no undertow (my nine year old didn't feel safe swimming in the beaches around Kaanapali). Right next to our beach or two other very similar beaches - all staffed with lifeguards. Now, the condo itself. We loved it - and WOULD stay there again if we ever get back to Maui. It's on the ground floor - but sits way up high on hill, which means that the lanai is as big as you want it to be. The views of Molokini, Kanai and West Maui are mesmerizing (I do wish, though, that Hawaii would take a cue from our part of the country...and bury the power lines). The condo itself is very roomy - the kitchen was well equipped, the beds were very comfortable and having two bathrooms was very, very nice. Dorli also supplied us with snorkels, masks, fins, beach chairs, cooler, bamboo mats - etc., Although we only spent a tiny amount of time in the pool, we found it to be very nice as well...and just a short walk up the hill. A few recommendations-make Costco your first stop (it's by the airport). Buy items to fix for breakfast & dinner, and then enjoy lunches out. You can then splurge on lunches, saving a lot of money over breakfasts & dinners. Definitely visit Nagalele Blowhole, Hana, Wai'anapanapa Black Sand Beach, Red Sand Beach (by Hana), Haleakala NP, and swim in the 7 Sacred Pools.

Wonderful Condo in Kihei

My best friend from childhood and I stayed at Dorli's condo for 7 days in May 2011. Dorli is great to work with and her home is just beautiful. The view and lanai are spectacular. I had the bedroom with the king bed - it was very, very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is everything you need to enjoy the beach from chairs, umbrella and beach toys for the young ones. I found a great health food store close by as I eat primarily organic. Maui Kamaole is right across the street from a great beach and is a very quiet condo complex with extraordinary foliage and two fantastic swimming pools. The activities and check in staff were great. This part of south Kihei is close to great shopping, beautiful beaches and the resorts of Wailea. I ate at Five Palms 4 times - they have a great happy hour and the ocean view is something you have to see for yourself. Dorli's condo is an incredible value for what you get. I look forward to coming back in the near future.

Thanks for the great place Dorli. Very quiet and private even though it's the first building in the complex. The view from the lanai is fantastic! The location worked out well for us....just a 15 minute drive to Big Beach! Walking distance to Five Palms for their happy hour drinks and appetizers. Also, just a short drive to some other great restaurants (Three's, Lulu's, Pupu Lounge, Kihei Cafe and others) as well as Foodland for shopping. Wonderful king bed, and the shower in the master was very nice! It was also very nice to have a second bathroom. Personally, we were not a fan of all the mirrored walls, but that's just us. We didn't spend our days sitting around the condo, so it really didn't matter. It was so nice to have beach towels and just about everything else one would need for the beach at our disposal! It was also very nice to have WiFi available for our phones and iPad. The keyless entry was heaven...no extra keys to possibly lose at the beach!! Dorli you were a great help when it came to renting a car. We saved nearly $400 renting through a local company! All in all it was a great experience working with you and we would definitely stay at your place again!! Thanks for everything!!

Just returned from a week at this condo. The location and facilities were fanstastic. I don't think there could be a better place to vacation. The condo itself was exactly as described by the owner. Short walk to the beach, unobstructed views, very beautiful landscaping. We spent time at both pools and both hot tubs. Went snorkeling right across the street. We have stayed at several other condos in this complex but nothing tops this for location. I picked this condo because the owner was so quick to reply to my email and was very business like. She disclosed the full cost of the unit including taxes, cleaning etc. No surprises. I am very happy with the entire experience of renting from Dorli.

Right from the beginning Dorli was extremely helpful in the planning of our trip. Her condo is absolutely perfect, it had everything that we were looking for. Every room was tastefully decorated and it had a breathtaking view. It was very clean and beautifully kept condo with all of the things that you would need. Across the street from one of the best beaches, walking distance to shops and restaurants. The swimming pool was also beautiful and only steps away from her condo. I would absolutely recommened this condo to anyone going to Maui. It was our first time there and Dorli made me feel very relaxed .

My friend and I stayed at Maui Kamaole, G-106, for 9 days and absolutely loved our experience there! We were looking for a picturesque, quiet place with a view, without road noise, and big enough for two single girlfriends travelling together. We really loved our comfy condo with the ocean view from the Lanai and from the dining room table, where we could check our e-mails and use the wireless Internet to make bookings and check information, which was so handy. The beach supplies were all very much appreciated, including the umbrella, boogie boards, towels, etc. My friend tried the snorkel gear but found that the mask leaked. We borrowed one and totally enjoyed our Molokini snorkel adventure which we were able to conveniently board the boat for right across the street through Sunfire adventure tours at the Kihei boat launch. The other wonderful find was a yoga studio less than a five minute walk along the wonderful beach trail to the left as you leave the complex at Maui Yoga Path in the Mana Kai hotel. We found it our first day when we went searching for breakfast and found a great brunch at that same hotel at the Palm Springs restaurant - sitting outside as the ocean waves crashed, we enjoyed an amazing breakfast before being picked up by our Enterprise car rental company. They have excellent rates and it is much cheaper to get the car in Kihei than at the airport, and you can drop it off at the airport at the end. Doing yoga while looking out to the ocean was so wonderful, as was Deni Roman, the amazing teacher. We also really enjoyed enhaling the wonderful fragrances and bird watching at the condo as well as relaxing in the lovely swimming pool with the waterfall and the awesome jetted whirlpool. The apartment had more than ample space for two single travellers, with a bathroom each to ourselves, iPOD dock, TV, CD player, full kitchen, and BBQ just steps away; the only drawback being that one person got a wonderfully comfortable king size bed and the other person had a rather uncomfortable fold out sofabed. The only recommendation I have that could improve things would be to either have a king bed that could be separated into two singles (we had that at the next place we went to, and it worked out brilliantly) or an added sofa topper pad or foam that could be put on the one that is currently there. Everything else was just perfect - thanks so much for this very reasonably priced, most amazing holiday experience. We hope to be back soon!

Hi Dorli,I just wanted to take a second to thank you for the use of your home over the past few days...we’ve thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The condo was exactly as we imagined it – and the beach across the street (as well as the beaches to the right) are wonderful. We did make the drive to Hana a couple of days ago (and on around the backside of the mountain as well). We also fit in an afternoon trip to the Nakalele Blowhole (the walk to the bottom was worth every step climbing back up), and stopped for lunch in Kaanapali. The rest of the time was spent on the beach across the street – which was very much to our liking. In fact, the beach in Kaanapali was, at first, perhaps prettier (longer, parasailers and sailboats in the distance), but the bottom drops off so quickly, and the undertow so strong, that our nine year old didn’t feel comfortable swimming there (and he's an excellent swimmer). On the other hand, he felt totally at ease in Kama?ole I, II, and III (we wanted to try all of them!). Virtually no undertow, calm waves (with the occasional large one for board surfing), very few people (compared to our East Coast beaches, anyway), wonderful lifeguards, and lots of lots of smooth sand made for excellent days at the beach. Oh...and the views of Kaho?olawe, Molokini, Lana?i and West Maui were mesmerizing. Along those lines, thanks too for the use of snorkels, masks, fins, beach chairs, cooler, bamboo mats, etc. We didn't have to purchase anything (other than sunscreen)!My wife and our kids are taking home wonderful memories from Maui - many, many thanks for being a part of them!Cheers,Dave & Alyson

Hi Dorli! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful condo with us this past February. We visit Maui every year, and usually stay in Wailea. This year we decided we wanted to be closer to the beach and all the fun Kihei has to offer, but also wanted a really nice, quiet condo. We spent a lot of time looking on VRBO before chosing your place. Needless to say, we weren't disappointed. Your condo is immaculate, beautifully decorated, and the view is to die for! We so appreciated all the little extras: fully equipped kitchen with all the extras, keyless entry (no need to worry about losing our key at the beach!), boogie boards, snorkle gear, extra towels, beach chairs. Dorli's condo is very spacious and clean, a very welcoming"home away from home" feeling with all the amenities needed.Our biggest challenge was trying to get to the beach early enough to snorkel as we'd be sipping our coffee on the lanai, listening to the birds, looking at the ocean. Beautiful, quiet grounds and pool area just a minute from the condo. Highly recommend Keawakapu Beach (public parking at Mana Kai Resort just down the road). Had 2 great lunches at the Five Palms,looking over that beach. You can walk the long beautiful beach right to Wailea. Watch out for the chocolate covered macadamia nuts.They sneak up on you just like the waves!

We were here April 5-11, 2008. Loved everything about this place. Location was fantastic, very clean, quiet and secure. The view to the ocean was wonderful. Loved watching the activity at the boat ramp. It was a short 1/3 mile walk to beautiful sandy Keawakapu Beach. Best eats - Maui Taco and the taco wagon near Big Beach (don't forget to try the freshly baked banana bread, too) Dorli, Sigi and Jesse (responsible for keeping the condo immaculate! Mahalo - Jesse!) will take care of you. When we return, cannot imagine staying anywhere else.

We stayed in Maui Kamaole G106 from March 22-April 4, 2008 and loved every minute. Nice condo, with especially a fabulous view of the ocean, sunsets and whales even still in April. The grounds and pools were beautiful and a good location for visiting many beaches and snorkelling spots. hi dorli! this email is a bit tardy...i've been meaning to write since i checked in to your MK unit. what a lovely unit and nicely turned out for your customers. i appreciated big bars of good soap, plently of dish detergent and the hawaiian music CDs. lots of little extras made it an enjoyable stay. jesse's quick response to the door security concern was admirable. the employees at the main office speak highly of you----that is reassuring for a renter...not to mention a great tribute to you and your husband. again, thank you and i look forward to hearing from you. best, kelli krause p.s. Hi Dorli, We are home from Maui and allready wish we were still there. We had a wonderful vacation and your condo was fantastic!! Absolutely loved the view and the location was great. We had a wonderful time, went snorkelling a lot and saw several turtles!! Also, you can see the whales from the lanai, absolutely wonderful!!! We want to tell you how much we enjoyed our 30 days in your beautiful Maui Kamaole condo. We loved our morning walks on the fantastic Keawakapu Beach, breakfast of papaya and apple bananas on the lanai, swimming at Kamaole III beach, and just plain relaxing in the condo or by the pool. It was great spotting whales from the living room and lanai. The furnishings in the condo are lovely. We appreciated the safe, laundry facilities in the unit and the keyless entry was great! The 30 days went by way too fast. Thank you for making this such an enjoyable place.

You couldn't find a better place to sit on the lanai and watch the sunset; the whales cruise by and the palms sway at just the right time. Also a perfect location to start on your morning walk down to Caffe Ciao or to Starbucks if you are really missing mainland coffee. The beach walk from G-106 to the KeiLani is spectacular. The owners are so very responsive to your needs and their unit is your 'home'. Aloha and enjoy.

Hi Dorli! Day two of our arrival home & still glowing with Maui sunshine. We arrived after sunset & very tired. It was 18 hours from the time we left home. With the time change, we were up by 4 a.m. waiting anxiously for dawn to see the view. We were delighted with our view of the ocean, from your beautifully tiled lanai. All the comforts of home were there & we knew we had made a great choice for our 3 week stay. Bed was comfty, unit clean & your accent on decorating in Hawaiian theme was appreciated. I did invest in a new frying pan which I could easily transport home & just for your info there is a pot there which is totally burnt & should probably be thrown out. There was enough other cookware, no problem. Disappointed with a safe that was not available for our use, but got over it. On day one, we went to Walmart & bought the very last two beach chairs as the Xmas decor replaced the summer stock. We paid $55 for them as they were top of the line, these we left in your closet for the enjoyment of your future guests. They are bright blue, with a design, very comfty & match your umbrella quite nicely. Thanks so much for the use of your home away from home. It was a pleasure dealing with you. If we hear of anyone going to Hawaii, we will strongly recommend your place. We are off to Cuba in July where our best friends' son is getting married. ** Aloha! We enjoyed the condo & views! Just breathtaking watching the sunsets …night. We’ve stayed in this complex in years past & hope to return to Maui again very soon! One consideration – please buy new beach chairs! Everything else was perfect! Go see the Warren & Annabelle Magic Show in Lahaina. It’s lot of fun! Diving w/ Maui Diamond II-ship#23 Maalea Harbor. If you have time take a trip to Molokai – we went for 1st time in the 20 years we have been coming to Maui – it was a great day! Very different than Maui! We love Maui best. See you soon. We thoroughly enjoyed our ten days here. We hadn’t been to Maui in 10 years so it was fun to get reacquainted with the island. We honeymooned here in Lahaina in 1975. This year we celebrated our 30th anniversary in your lovely Kihei condo. We have a condo in lake Tahoe if you ever want to trade for a week or two! We came here for a wedding at the Grand Wailea & had a great time. I lived here from ’89-95 and was able to 3 friends that I’ve lost touch with. The weather was excellent & you better got to “Azeka’s” & get a plate lunch Ono! It was also my son’s first trip (he turned 1 on June 28) and we have some great minutes! I can’t wait to come back.
