Bastille, 11th arrondissement, the real Paris !
The bright BASTILLE STUDIO (29 sqm / 310 sqft), on 1st floor ( means 2nd US floor; only one flight of stairs) without elevator/lift, can accommodate comfortably 2-3 persons and max 4 persons.
The apartment (renovated in January 2006) with exposed beams and 2 windows overlooks a typical French courtyard and Rue de Charonne.
It’s located couple of minute walk from Place Bastille and 5-10 minute walk from MARAIS and PLACE DES VOSGES.
Nearest metro /underground stops ( 1-2 minute walk) : "Ledru Rollin" ( line 8), " Charonne " ( line 9) and "Bastille" ( line 1- the same for The Louvre-, 5 and 8).
The one-room flat is composed as follows:
** ENTRANCE HALL with kitchenette (two electric plates, refrigerator, microwave, and cupboard with kitchen utensils, Italian moka coffee-maker and kettle) and a window overlooking the courtyard.
** LIVING ROOM: extension table, four chairs, sofa-bed (closed: single bed 90 cm/36 inches for 1 person sleeping ; open: 180 cm/ 72 inches king-size bed for 2 persons sleeping ), and wardrobe.
** BED AREA with window: large double queen-size bed 160 cm/ 65 inches with new very comfortable latex mattress ( August 2009).
** BATHROOM with shower.
AMENITIES
High speed INTERNET access ( ethernet cable and Wireless ), LCD TV with international channels, telephone for incoming calls, MICROWAVE, coffee maker (italian moka), refrigerator, central heating, fan, hair dryer, iron, kettle.
Cooking Utensils provided.
Linens provided.
The apartment is not equipped with washing machine but at the ground floor of the building there is a laudrette with several washing machines and dryers ( 3,5 euro / 5 $).
If you don't have your laptop, keep in mind at the ground floor there is also an Internet cafè with several computers( open until late).

Nearby: GARAGE PARKING ( 24/24), restaurants, daily market, and bars.
THE AREA
Rue de Charonne is a lively street with many design, antiques and fashion shops, ethnic restaurants, bistros, and music bars.
This district is the natural continuation of the Marais, just a short walk away , and its charm attracts tourists and local people, who consider it "the real Paris."
EASY DISTANCES to ALL IMPORTANT TOURIST SITES:
*** couple of minute walk from PLACE BASTILLE and NEW OPERA.
*** 5-10 minute walk from the PLACE DES VOGES and the MARAIS.
*** Easy walk distance ( 10-30 minutes) to the RIVER SEINE, NOTRE DAME, ILE ST. LOUIS, CENTRE POMPIDOU-BEAUBOURG, PICASSO Museum, LOUVRE, MUSEE D'ORSAY, LATIN QUARTER and SAINT GERMAIN des PRES in the Rive Gauche-Left Bank.
By bus or underground, these places can be reached even faster, but taking a walk in Paris is really worthwhile.
Also MONTMARTRE and THE EIFFEL TOWER are within easy walking distance, or can be reached by bus or metro/underground from Bastille.
