Hummingbird Nest - Stream Side - Tri-level - Black Hawk, Colorado VACATION RENTAL SUMMARY - "Hummingbird Nest" This private, mountain retreat is only four miles from the Central City/Black Hawk gaming casinos, 30 miles from Denver's endless attractions, 22 miles from Eldora's quiet skiing slopes, and only a few steps from trout fishing on North Clear Creek. Bordering Arapaho National Forest on two sides of the property, fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, and ATV/four-wheeling opportunities abound. Golden Gate Canyon State Park is just minutes away with miles of trails and stocked fishing ponds. Gold panning can be experienced on the stream right outside the door, with lessons available just down the road. White-water rafting and mountain rock climbing can also be enjoyed nearby. Gilpin County's new recreation center, just a few miles away, has an Olympic-size pool, indoor track, basketball court, weight room, and numerous family activities. The historic Central City Opera House has a schedule of outstanding performances throughout the summer and is less than five minutes away, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a mere 30-minute drive. The abundant Denver area attractions vary with the seasons from Rockies Baseball to Broncos Football, Elitch's Six Flags Amusement Park, numerous museums, and the restaurants and shopping are always fantastic! This chalet-style home has the added charm of a wood-burning stove in the family room (wood furnished). You will find this home is equipped with all the conveniences of home. Comfortable beds (to sleep up to ten) include a king-size bed in the master bedroom along with an added twin sofa bed, a queen-size sofa bed in the lower-level family room, a queen-size sofa bed in the living area on the main floor, and three twin beds in the loft. A portable crib is also available. Added amenities include a washer/dryer, coffee maker, microwave, phone, satellite TV with VCR and DVD upstairs and downstairs, completely furnished kitchen (electric appliances - skillet, blender, slow cooker, mixer), dishwasher, spices, kitchen towels, gas grill, deck table and chairs. All bed linens and towels are provided. You will find the home to be fully furnished and nicely decorated. Bring some groceries and a couple of changes of clothes, and let the fun begin!
