  We had a wonderful time at this cabin. The river access was fantastic and the cabin was awesome with all the comforts of home and more. There are numerous activities for young and old within minutes. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a mountain getaway. Thanks so very much!!!

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  Just wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed staying at the Hummingbird Nest. We found the red food coloring, made the birds some sugar water, and enjoyed watching them for hours. The place was just right, not too big and fancy but very comfortable with a wonderful location. I was looking for some much needed R and R and it really fit the bill, under the pine trees and next to the water. I loved it! We would really like to find something like it for our own retreat someday. You guys are so lucky to have it. We also took your suggestion and went into Central City/ Blackhawk to watch the fireworks on the 4th of July. They were fantastic! Thanks again for a wonderful place to stay. We'll keep you in mind the next time we're looking for a retreat in the mountains.

  This place is great. I recently stayed there and highly recommend it for a place to get away and relax and enjoy nature. It is very quiet and yet not too far from civilization so that you feel isolated. It was wonderful and I hope to return again some day.

  I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hummingbird Nest!! Its very cozy and well appointed, and the mountain stream flowing by within a few feet of the cabin adds so much to the "relaxation factor". The location is great - close to Denver, Blackhawk, hiking/biking trails at Golden Gate State Park, Golden, etc., and yet has a secluded "feel". If you are looking for a great place to unwind and relax, you found it!

  We had the pleasure of spending a week in Hummingbird Nest for the occasion of our son's graduation from Denver University. With 4 grown children and 2 spouses in various parts of the country, it was a great place to gather and celebrate as a family! We hunted and found 3 geo-cache's in the near vicinity with spectacular views in each place. The Kuders called us twice while we were there, to make sure we had everything we needed, which made us feel like family! We'd love to go back some day! Thanks Deanna! Dr. and Barb Sharma

  i am a ceramic tile contractor from out of state. i work long hours while out of town working. this gorgeous place is exactly what was needed to make my 'home away from home' a real Home. many thanks, furnished like all the other VRBO's i've stayed in. only better. none of the others have a creek for my 2 Golden Retrievers' to cool off in after a long hard day at 'Play' many thanks.

  This house was just beautiful. The place made you feel so comfortable the minute you walked in. The owners were so helpful and kind. It was close to all the activities that we wanted to do. We are sure to stay next year.

  -A week in mid March 2006 for some spring skiing was just what the Dr. ordered. Hummingbird nest was a pleasure! Comfortable, cozy, secluded and affordable. The foot of snow we got made it a winter wonderland. The Kuders were super to do business with and their son Jason who lives nearby was very helpful. We'll be back and recommend it highly!   I was fortunate enough to have stayed at the Hummingbird Nest over the Labor Day Holiday this year. This charming little cottage was comfortable, well furnished and appointed and was absolutely delightful! It is private, comfortable, cozy and yet large enough that we didn't ever feel crowded. I was also impressed at how well stocked it is. All we had to do was bring our groceries. We spent many hours on the deck, relaxing while letting the sounds of the stream below us wash away the worries of the world outside. It was truely a joy and I intend to go back again and again.

  I stayed at the Hummingbird Nest this weekend and had an amazing time. I planned a reunion with college friends from the midwest and they were very impressed with the house and the surroundings! We talked for hours on the deck overlooking the stream and made a great dinner on the grill! I'd recommend this place to all my friends and family!!

  In March my husband and I wanted a fun place to go by ourselves.Wow Did we have fun. We went for walks, gambled in Black Hawk,and visited historical places in Central city. One day we went to Golden. Its full of artists and we were lucky enough to go to an art festival. We were able to buy 4 beautiful pieces of pottery. Golden is full of history and close to Black Hawk.The evenings were wonderful just laying around the fire place and talking.Sometimes our lives are so hectic we just ned to get away. What a fun place to go.

  What a vacation I had here! Everything you could ever want to do is here!Located in the midst of all of the Denver, Central City, Red Rocks and any other mountain things you might want to do including the casinos!

  We stayed in this wonderful cabin in July of 2004. We took our 90-year-old mother with us. She loved watching the hummingbirds out the window every day! We enjoyed bird-watching and climbing right out the door! It was an easy drive for fabric shopping for my mother in nearby Nederland. They have a wonderful fabric shop there, and the scenery on that drive is awesome! I got to see my first mountain bluebird at the Golden Gate State Park only minutes from the cabin. The cabin was absolutely great. It had everything we needed and more! And our pekingese had a great stay too. We can't wait to go back!

  My family has stayed in this cabin several times. We have found it to be very adequately supplied and very comfortable. It is spacious, clean, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the woodburning stove and the stmosphere of the mountain cabin. There is a deck with a barbacue grill to add that extra flavor to a meal. The kitchen is spacious and has most everything you need. There is plenty of space to park if two or three families are using the cabin at the same time. I am looking forward to going back soon.

  We have stayed a couple of times during spring- fall and summer - and it is always GREAT. It was a very relaxing trip for family to just get together for a few days away from the world. It is a very charming location and home.
