Year Purchased: 2014
About the owner: Pam & Steve Gannon lived in Grant Park for 10 years - moved away - and have now come back. We love the old homes and being closer to the city. We live in the front house that shares an address with Hideaway House and as such are available to our guests 24/7.
Why the Owner Chose Atlanta: We recently bought the property from Rose & Brian Wilson - they owned the property for 2 years. Prior to the Wilson's, Hideaway House was owned by the same family since it was built in 1920. Hideaway House is a special home with lists of charm and character, which is evident as soon as you walk through the front door.
The Unique Benefits at this House: Hideaway House sits at the end of a residential street and on top of a hill that overlooks the historic Roosevelt High School Building, a beautiful Neo-Byzantine structure that has been converted to an apartment complex. Hideaway House is shaded by an enormous oak tree that is breathtakingly beautiful, particularly when the setting sun casts a rosy glow off its many branches.
