As an executive for a large Hotel, Mark is acutely aware of the appointments and aesthetics to ensure guests have a wonderful stay. Don't pack the hair-dryer, we have one for you!
Before you buy anything check our closet full of beach, tennis and outing toys. We provide extra beach towels, boogie boards, tennis racquets, cooler, beach chairs, umbrella, ice packs....
New full-size kitchen appliances with all the bells and whistles! Granite counter tops and fully equipped for cooking, including the Blender for those Mai Tais at sunset! Easy access parking directly in front of your door and no stairs to climb. The cozy lanai has a garden view of the tennis court and pool area.
The Condo complex has a large swimming pool, Jacuzzi, gas barbecues, tennis court and on-site laundry facilities. Come relax in our family owned condo for a week or a MONTH!
Kihei is centrally located only 20 minutes from Kahului airport. We are 10 minutes to Ma’alaea harbor, where all the day cruises depart, and the Maui Ocean Center in located. South Kihei road is lined with the best sandy beaches, grassy beach parks, restaurants, galleries, outdoor/indoor shopping and local farmers markets. Everything you need is here!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at "Monkey Business." We felt very lucky to find a self-catering option in Kihei for such an affordable price. The host was very helpful and the check-in process was seamless even though we arrived quite late in the night. The condo exceeded our expectations - it was a perfect size for a couple, had a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, and we very much appreciated the extra touches such as beach towels, beach chairs, an umbrella, tennis rackets, and snorkel gear. The host went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and was very communicative and responsive to our requests. The condo is in a very welcoming community with access to a pool and BBQ which we took full advantage off. It is about 5 KM from the Kam I, II, III beaches and grocery stores/farmer markets. The condo was very clean and we appreciated the fans in the evening. I would highly recommend staying here and look forward to our next visit.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

Hopefully this positive review will help others who are thinking about staying there... since that is why I stayed there. Decor was inviting and fun and it was furnished with everything I needed. The monkeys were a nice touch. This is a nice convenient but small studio condo in Kihei. The owner is very easy to deal with and responds to emails promptly. The directions to get there and obtain entry are easy to follow and worked well(even in the dark at 0400 when we arrived 10 hours late).The pictures accurately represent the furnishings but make it look a bit bigger than it really is.There was a nice pineapple and cookies to greet us upon arrival and it was very clean. This unit is at the rear of the complex and is very quiet. There is very little noise from the upstairs as the units seem to have been built quite sturdily.Other guests are quite friendly and a great rule is the no smoking within 20 feet of the complex which seems to be adhered to. The kitchen is compact and well stocked, and the complexes outdoor BBQ are a great place to cook in the evening. Parking is convenient right outside the door. It is quite warm in the unit and the air conditioner was required for a few hours at night to sleep, but when the trades blew there was a good cross flow of air. The only issue would be the bathroom. It is in need of updating. It is in the interior of the unit with no fan, so you could come out of a shower hotter than you started. You also need to watch the front screen door that can blow open and let a few eager cockroaches inside if you are not careful. The location is very central in Kihei and at this time of year there is no flooding of the roads. We never tried the pool or the beach across the street as we were on the North Shore all day, but they looked inviting.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

The condo had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It was in a quiet part of the complex and we could park outside the door. The pool and hot tub were lovely and there's a great beach across the road to watch the sunsets from. No hesitation in recommending Monkey Business as an excellent base to explore Maui from.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My daughters and I loved our stay at Monkey Business. We had everything we needed to have a great time. We thoroughly enjoyed the pineapple and cookies you left on the table. The kitchen was well equipped and I especially liked having a blender and a ice maker. Oh, ya, and the brita water filter was a wonderful addition. I liked all the beach extras in the condo but note to self; don't use the beach umbrella on a windy day. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub and walking across the street to watch the sunset. We liked the quiet location but yet were close enough to shops and beaches with easy exit to the other parts of the Island. Thanks Marina for sharing your little piece of paradise with us. Great location and close to everything. Studio is cute and clean. Marina is very accommodating. We also had fun trying to find all the monkeys :-) We found 61!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

Location location location! It was perfect... right on the main drag, but away from the huge resorts so often times I found that I got the beach to myself! And the beach is literally yards away from the property! Studio comes equipped with a lot of additional treasures that not many condos do! All in all an excellent stay in Kihei! Will be back! Marina and Family, thank you so much for sharing your condo with me. Everything was so clean and the decor was very cute! I enjoyed the cookies and pineapple very much,that was a very nice suprise. I will certainly recommend the condo to my family and friends. I hope that I will be able to enjoy it again very soon. The only thing that I would suggest is that maybe the pots and pans need to be replaced..for those of us that do like to cook in..:) I had a wonderful time and felt so at home! My husband and I stayed in this unit January 2011. We have stayed in other condos at Kihei Bay Surf in the past and this unit was nicer, more comfortable, and had more little extras. We enjoyed the bonus of having beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, beach towels, boogie boards, coolers beach mats & beach umbrellas, in the condo. The freezer with the ice maker was a nice feature as well. The condo is located in a quiet part of the complex and you are able to park right outside the condo entrance. The condo is nicely decorated with dresser space for clothes (not always the case in other condos). Overall, it was a wonderful stay and the condo had everything we needed for our 12 days. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone and would stay here again, if available.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

With the exception of having no deck for the whole 2 weeks and having to listen to the decks being rebuilt, it was a good stay. The interior of the condo was nice. Glad to have some of the goodies in the closet for the beach. I did leave my facemask I brought because there were no mask but a lot of snorkels. I did use the pool area a lot. Nice pool and lounges. Got a nice tan. Met a lot of nice people from everywhere. Hope the repair the minor leak in the hot tube. Would I stay here again? Possibly, as long as there is no major construction on the campus as a whole. Nice beach across the street to watch the sunsets. Nice to have the bus stops right by the condos. Used them a lot. Saved a lot in car rentals.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car.

About the owner: Disclosure (HRS16-99): MARINA BATHAM IS A LICENSED REL ESTATE BROKER IN HAWAII. This is her personal unit. Aloha, Mark and I and our two young daughters moved to maui after many years working in Asia. We had fallen in love with Maui many years before and when the opportunity for a transfer came up in 2001 we jumped on it! For Marina, Maui is a perfect replacement for the Virgin Islands where she was born, and a cultural match to New Zealand where she grew up. Our move suits all of us to a tee. We love the year-round warmth, the constant sunshine and the ocean. As a family we love to hike the many tropical forest trails, kayak the shoreline to spot turtles and whales, and snorkel the reefs. Now we call Maui home.

We have family members visiting often so we decided to provided a comfortable place for them to call home when they are here. Our condo is beautifully remodeled with granite counters, new, contemporary appliances and comfortable furnishings. We have tried to think of everything from the blender for margaritas, hair dryer, lots of beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, snorkel gear, boogie boards, and even tennis rackets! Out on-property tennis court is just outside and the beautiful pool and jaccuzi is a nice reprieve from the ocean when you want it. We are located central to most places you want to go but still in South Maui on the best beaches anywhere!
