This vacation condo was perfect for our family. The location , the beachfront , the condo, the parking , the pool , furnishings ..... everything 1st. class. I usually never take time to do reviews, but had to let all know, if you find a problem here , you are a problem !! We will definately return.

Recommended for:Girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Greatest View in Jacksonville Beach.... dining and sleeping is like being on a cruise..

My family and I have stayed in "The Penhouse" duing the past 4 years... It is always a wonderful experience and relaxing time. The "Tommy Bahama" furnishings are first class. I highly recommended it...

Recommended for:People with disabilities, tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Renter beware ! Poor experience !

My wife and I and 2 other couples decided to stay at this “Penthouse” suite over the recent Labor Day weekend (Sept.2nd - 5th) we chose this condo because of the 3 king beds and being on the "ocean front". Granted the location is nice and the view from the balcony wonderful, it all went downhill from there… everything is very dated in the condo, as well as what few kitchen utensils that are there, the ice machine does not work in the kitchen either. There are absolutely no beach chairs which you will need to bring because you DO NOT have access to the condo’s swimming pool ... you also will not have access to the fitness center OR the convenient gate that allows you easy access to the beach… you will have to walk ALL THE WAY AROUND FROM THE FRONT OF THE CONDO TO THE BEACH WHICH MAKES IT ABOUT A 200 YD. WALK & GETS QUITE OLD AFTER A FEW TRIPS ! To make matters worse, upon arrival I noticed that the AC was not working in our bedroom and I immediately notified the owner via voice mail and email to which he NEVER responded to…finally on the third day the repairman showed up and I had to spend almost 3 hours of my time helping him to get access to the roof of the condo, then help him repair the broken unit which had a rusted out Freon line from lack of maintenance! I conveyed all the hassle that I had encountered to the owner and got NO RESPONSE!! NO SORRY THAT HAPPEN … NO HOW CAN I MAKE IT UP TO YOU… NOTHING. And the final straw was that it took over 3 weeks to get my CASH deposit back… after several phone calls and emails and finally having to call the owners wife at her place of employment did my refund arrive. It should have been a red flag if someone only deals in CASH...that was my mistake hopefully you can learn from it ! I hope you take all these things into consideration before renting, thank you.

Owner response:In response. We have been renting this unit for over 8 years. we stay rented and have many repeat renters. This renter and I communicated for several week before he made a commitment. We answered all his questions and we held his dates for him. When the deposit was dues he said that he had found another condo at $50 less per day and would we meet the price. We accommodated him because it was late and we had already turned down another renter. The furnishings are all top of the line Tommy Bahamas' The renter just didn't recognize quality. There were plenty of beach chairs. The air-conditioned did go out and we had a repairman respond at once, but it was never convenient for the renter to be available to let him in. The deposit was returned in our normal time frame.

Lots of room for the entire family. Beautiful beachfront condo with exquisite balcony views. It is however a long walk to the beach because you have to use the street side gate, at the front of the building. Since the beach is the only swimming available with this condo I would not recommend it for the disabled or small children. Otherwise it is a great place for family gatherings.

Recommended for:Families with teenagers.

We are getting ready for our 4th or 5th visit to the "Penthouse" and as always, will leave content, relaxed, and....frustrated we couldn’t stay longer! We can’t say enough about this wonderful location and what it has to offer! From the beautiful tiled floors and bathrooms, to the exquisitely detailed walls and furnishings, this place has it all! The pictures on the site are informative and nice, but do it no justice at all. Just when you think you have found all of the luxuries this condo has to offer, you find something new you didn't know was there (you have got to see the TV!). Even better, you will be taken back by the breathtaking views of the beach, feeling on top of the world while you sit on your full beach view balcony, listening to the waves crashing on the shoreline below you. An amazing place for a family vacation, a vacation with friends, or just to get away and spoil your wife/husband. You can never go wrong. A huge thanks to the owner's for their gracious and welcoming hospitality, you always take great care of us. We will be back soon and always look forward to our next visit!
