Everything that has been written about this house is true -- great location (near the beach and the State Park, and a short walk to downtown), beautiful views of the golf course, smartly designed, very comfortable and inviting, well-stocked with cooking supplies, games, books, and information. Each room has wonderful colors on the walls and/or floors. The upstairs bedrooms are quite roomy. The first-floor bedroom is cozy and the mattress is comfortable. Our boys (13 and 10) liked going into the playroom (garage), where they threw darts and played foosball. The bikes in the garage alllowed them to go downtown and the State Park without us, which they really liked. Since the house is on a quiet street, they were also able to play outside without having to worry about cars speeding by. We also took advantage of the sand toys and kites in the garage, and enjoyed a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the beach. This is one of the most affordable houses in Manzanita, and definitely one to visit if your goals are to relax with family and/or friends, hang out at the beach, or take a leisurely stroll into town. We thank the owners for sharing their home with us, and look forward to our next visit!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We have stayed repeatedly at this rental and had lovely experiences each time. It's unique floor-plan and streamline decor makes it welcoming and easy to maintain. The layout of the house is cozy and comfortably accommodates up to eight. Highlights include the open-floor layout of the kitchen and family room space. The leather couches and chair make for great lounging. A long country-style table allows for wonderful meal-times and game playing times. The kitchen is well equipped and has room for more than one chef. The beds are comfy and the rooms are nicely decorated. The view out the back onto the golf course is gorgeous. We enjoy watching the golfers struggle at the putting green as they play through, but the home still maintain its sense of privacy. Proximity to the beach, downtown, the playground, and the State Park is very convenient. We highly recommend you spend a vacation at the Nolf's rental. You will be pleased!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities.

We stayed here with our three young children (3, 6, and 8) and had a great time. Beach, city park with playground, and downtown Manzanita (use short-cut through the park!) are all in walking distance. We also used our bikes a lot plus the kid's mountain bike provided by the owners. Thanks to the new Manzanita bike path it was easy to get to Nehalem Bay State Park by bike as well. Entrance to the house through the garage is a plus because you don't have to take shoes, sand toys etc. into the house. Owners are very friendly and easy to deal with. Even though we don't play golf, we enjoyed having the large green space in the back of the house and watching the golfers (not too close) from the back porch. The house was well equipped and very comfortable for us. I would recommend staying here.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We have have been staying here every year for the past several years, to the point that it seems like our home away from home. The location is superb, within walking distance to the golf course and Manzanita village. It is always immaculately maintained and has probably the most comfortable living arrangement of all the many places we have rented over the past many years in the Manzanita area. We love watching the golfers from the deck as they come through and putt out on the 3rd hole. The owners are friendly and great to work with. After so many repeat visits we feel almost like family friends. It is a "10" in every respect.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

My fiance, parents and I had a wonderful time staying at this house. It was sparkling clean with a perfect layout for cooking, relaxing by the fire and enjoying each others' company. Though the weather outside was blustery and cold, we were thrilled to spend long afternoons dozing and reading in the very comfortable living room. I could not have asked for a better stay, and I am excited to come back in the warmer months so I can enjoy the outdoors, too! I would certainly bring some friends here, as the house comfortably sleeps eight without feeling crowded. By far the best vacation home I've ever rented!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We love this property. The view of the golf course is right out the deck door. The place is well equipted and we have always found it very clean. Once we were rained in and spent the day drawing and playing cards in front of the fireplace. The town is a well kept secret and very layed back compared to Cannon Beach. We used the bikes on every visit and enjoyed rides to town for coffee in the morning. If you just want to relax and turn off your cell phones, try it! DMT Gig Harbor, Wa.Recommended for: Age 55+.
