One of the joys of spending time in in a beautiful apartment in Paris is to live like a Parisian; shop for delicious food and ingredients in Paris’ markets and prepare them at home. Our Pomerol apartment is fantastic because it has a view of La Grande Dame de Paris, the Eiffel Tower and is on the famous rue Cler, one of the best market streets in Paris.

Step outside each day to buy pastries and enjoy cafe' au lait and the Herald Tribune at the dining table or cafe' nearby. Buy fruit, vegetables, cheese, and fresh baguettes just below. There are so many food shops outside our apartment that you will want to try different breads, cheeses, meats and pastries every day.

This romantic apartment has one bedroom, one and a half baths, and can sleep up to four people. It is in the heart of the Left Bank, in the 7th arrondissement and has delightful views of the Eiffel Tower and the quartier's rooftops. It is on the pedestrian part of rue Cler, an added bonus.

Enter the 5th floor apartment with elevator to find kitchen on your left. It is compact but has all of the appliances you might need to prepare a gourmet meal: under-the-counter refrigerator/freezer, combination microwave/convection oven, induction burners, coffee maker, toaster, Nespresso cappuccino machine.

There is even a top-of-the-line washer/dryer. The cabinets are made of beech wood with granite countertops and good lighting to cook by. There are white porcelain dishes and a full array of cookware, you can shop on rue Cler and prepare your own gourmet meals.

The powder room is just beyond the kitchen, with toilet, sink and lots of hooks for extra getting-ready room. Continue to the long living room of our apartment rental in Paris, the piece de resistance. This is a coveted corner apartment on the fifth floor, so three pairs of windows open out to the view towards the Eiffel Tower and above the rooftops of Paris. It is a sunny room and wonderful to relax in after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. We built in three window seats, covered with fresh blue checked cushions so you can ‘cozy up’ on one with a glass of wine and a book, or simply enjoy the fact that you are in Paris.

The sofa bed is on your left with an armchair facing it. The sofa was especially made for us in Italy, more practical and comfortable for guests because it converts to 2 single beds. It is over six feet long and actually has a twin mattress for the sofa seat, plus a twin trundle which pulls out from underneath, so getting ready for bed at night couldn't be easier. The mattresses are on wooden slats, meaning good support at sleeping and sitting.

TV and stereo are on your right. Find an American-standard DVD player so you can bring your favorite films,CD player as well, so remember to bring your most romantic music. We leave lots of Paris guidebooks for you to peruse during your stay.

An antique stands on the right and provides extra storage; a leather console table with antique mirror sits between the two windows in the living area.

The dining area is just beyond and offers an Eiffel view.

To the left of the sofa is the bathroom, tiled in pale limestone with bathtub/shower and sink. Shelves above and below provide good storage. A dramatic touch is the lion’s head fixture in the bathtub, which children love. You can lounge in the bathtub or shower using the fixed shower head.

The bedroom of our Paris apartment is next on your left, with a high-quality queen-size bed which we imported from Italy. There is a romantic surprise for our rental guests to the left from bed, the Eiffel Tower. We think the bedroom is one of the most romantic in Paris when the magic show of lights twinkles for ten minutes on the hour after dark.

An important note: all of the windows are state-of-the-art double glazed, the same as used in luxury hotels. The apartment is located in the middle of this bustling city, but is extremely quiet for a good night’s sleep.

There are narrow closets on either side of the window for storage and a small desk is under the window. Good lighting means you can work at your computer or read at night, but who will want to when they see the view.

Important Features and the Neighborhood:
View of La Grande Dame de Paris, the Eiffel Tower, and view from Fifth floor of the building (sixth floor American) means apartment is light and high above street.

The location is one of the best in Paris: 5-minute walk to the river and to the Eiffel Tower; 3 minutes to the Invalides and the Musee Rodin; 10 minutes to the Trocadéro; the Grand Palais and the couturier's on Ave. Montaigne, the Four Seasons George V for tea or 3-star dining; 15-minute walk to the Champs Elysées and Arc de Triomphe;15 minutes to Musee d'Orsay; 20-minute walk to Place de la Concorde ; 15 minute walk to the Bon Marché department store.

You are surrounded by restaurants that local Parisians go to, cafés, bistros and shops.

The Seine River is four blocks away and right near where the famous Bateau Mouche boat tours begin.

Open Markets: Rue Cler is just below, one of the best and most famous streets for food in Paris. Pont de l'Alma is a five-minutes walk and has the largest open market in Paris every Saturday morning. Merchants come from the country with wines, fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, pâtés, breads, even five types of escargots! The Ave du Saxe open market features more gourmet and organic foods, 5 minutes walk.

This is a non-smoking apartment and, sorry, but no pets are allowed. Please let me know if you have any other questions; we are happy to help.

Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 6

We tried many Paris neighborhoods and the 7th arrondissement in Paris offered the best access to everything we love and enjoy! Step outside your apartment and enjoy café’ au lait on rue Cler on a sunny morning, stroll to Paris landmarks, museums and monuments, to world class shopping on the Right Bank, to the Orsay Museum, the Louvre, Rodin Museum, Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, Grand Palais, American Library. Take morning walks, picnics & bike rides in the Champs de Mars gardens, to romantic walks home along the river at sunset. It’s a beautiful old quartier near the romantic Seine that has maintained a village-like atmosphere, surrounded by bistros and shops so you can step outside and savor life. It's one of the safest arrondissements in Paris; it offers more open air markets than any arrondissement in Paris. It costs more to invest in the 7th, but to us, it is worth every penny. We greet our butcher, baker and local cheese specialist daily. They know what our favorite cheeses are and make favorite suggestions. They know the exact kind of baguette we want each day, not too brown and crusty for soft cheese. That is what we have been lucky enough to find in our neighborhood and we hope you’ll have a chance to enjoy the same special Parisian lifestyle.

Owner's Map of Paris Arrondissement 6

My company transferred me from San Francisco to London for work, and it wasn’t long before I met my husband Philippe on a ski vacation. We were married and bought our first apartment in Paris where Philippe was working as a cardiac surgeon. Friends and family loved staying there for the fantastic location and views – walking distance to cafés, landmarks sights and wonderful shops. They loved the experience of living like a Parisian, shopping in the nearby open air markets for the freshest foods, buying warm baguettes next door, enjoying café au lait on the balcony, eating at affordable brasseries and restaurants that Parisians go to just around the corner. They asked if they could rent our pied-à-terre when we were away, and our Paris apartment rentals business was born! Philippe left medicine for business and we now commute between London and Paris on the Eurostar and have two great children who have French and American citizenship ... and who always point out my French grammar mistakes!

Pomerol!

"We really enjoyed our stay in Pomerol. Having an on-site management team was extremely nice. We were very pleased with the location of Pomerol and now consider this area to be our "home base" in Paris. We often bought take away food at a deli on Rue Cler that was delicious and easy at the end of a long day of seeing the sights. We will definitely return and stay in a ParisPerfect apartment again!"

"Here is what you were kind enough to write about us, which you can simply copy and paste in the Flip Key request: Absolutely loved this location! We had everything close at hand. Wonderful markets, shops and restaurants. Th apartment was fully stocked with everything we needed. The furnishings were lovely and the view of the Eiffel tower was breath taking. Every evening we would open our windows to take in the beautiful sounds and sights of Paris. My daughter and two granddaughters also enjoyed their stay and thought this apartment was exactly as they envisioned a Paris apartment to be. Thank-you. I have already recommended Paris Perfect to my friends and family"

"The Pomerol apartment was truly " Paris perfect" for our week vacation. From the reservation process to the check-in on site at the apartment everything was handled professionally. Even Victor's taxi from CDG abd back was perfect. The apartment itself was clean, well equipped, nice towels and bedding, nicely decorated and homey, and so well located for visiting all the major tourist spots. We loved the Rue Cler market and being able to walk to the Eifel Tower and metro. The guide to the neighborhood and Paris attractions were also very helpful...can't complain about a single thing....and such a great value! We will be back and will recommend to all our friends and relatives. AAA *****!"

"We would like to thank you all very much for making our stay in Paris such a wonderful experience. Pomeral is a lovely apartment, and a fantastic location just near Rue Cler. One of the highlights of our trip was shopping there most days – we particularly loved the oysters freshly shucked outside Café du Marche, and the meat and cheeses. Our teenagers are already missing the croissants and pastries! The apartment was very well equipped, and had everything that we needed. The welcome basket was a lovely touch, and we especially thank you for your restaurant recommendations. We ate several times at Café Constant, which was our favourite restaurant of the entire trip, and we can’t wait to come back and try Christian Constant’s other two restaurants..."

"We had a fabulous time during our stay in the Pomerol. The apartment is very well located in the 7th, and right on the corner of Rue Cler - absolutely amazing to be out the door and on the market street in just seconds. We must say that Christmas in Paris is a very special time. Our stay happpened to be scheduled during infrequent snows in Paris and our departure was delayed by 2 days. The Paris Perfect team was very accommodated in helping us with extending our stay. "

"Fine accommodations located in a lively neighborhood. The apartment quickly became our home and was a major factor in our enjoyment of Paris. Being close to many shops and restaurants that are off the beaten path of the tourists made us feel like we were able to enjoy the Paris that is loved by those fortunate enough to call it home. We were pleased to find that many attractions were very close and public transportation was easily accessed. We will be using Paris Perfect for our next trip".

“We had a delightful short stay in Paris on our way back from Madagascar. Pomerol was truly perfect. Not only is it very comfortable for two people, its location is great. Rue Cler is a delightful market street. The area abounds in good restaurants. The Metro is nearby. You can even see the famous Tower from the window. Combined with truly superb service on the part of the Paris Perfect folks, what more could a visitor want?”

“As always, we very much enjoyed our stay in Paris . Having lived in Les Loges en Josas (pres de Jouy en Josas & Versailles) We visit as often as possible. If the "sejour" is 5 days or more, we rent an apartment. Often our daughter & her family are with us & we require larger quarters. Last summer we were in the 6th, across from the senate at le Jardin de Luxembourg . Everything was lovely except for "le bar en bas". It is VERY popular & noisy till closing! In fall or winter it may not be a problem; In summer "c'eaist trop"! I was not trying to sleep; I was trying to work or regard TV5. We will be returning in March (I am not certain as to how much time will be in Paris ,) but please do keep us informed of apartments that might be agreeable.”Suzanne Roll - September 2009

“Our stay in Paris was made even more memorable thanks to our choice of Pomerol near Rue Cler. Fresh baguettes and croissants that we bought each morning with our homemade coffee and view of the Eiffel Tower was magnifique. My only disappointment was that I could not practice my French since everyone recognized us as Americans and greeted us in excellent English. We highly recommend the 69 bus from Rue Dominique a block away and a return stop almost directly across from the apartment. It got us to Musee D'Orsay, the Louvre and Ile de la Cite quickly and conveniently (except at rush hours!) We found the area safe, clean and delightful on late evening walks from the Seine .We will NEVER do anything in Paris from a hotel again. Thank you Paris Perfect; we’ll be back!”Jim and Sally Ebrecht - Thursday, July 9th 2009
