Our fabulous Paris apartment is 450 square feet and accommodates up to four guests. The view of Paris from our apartment is simply stunning, from three sets of French doors which lead onto the balcony. When we saw the view from the apartment bedroom, our first thought was ‘Romance in Paris’! We were correct, because our Montrachet vacation apartment in Paris has become a favorite for guests to ‘pop the question’ on the balcony with the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop - or to spend honeymoons and special anniversaries there. It is located a short walk from the 6th arrondissement, in the heart of the Left Bank. There are tons of shops, cafe's and restaurants all around you.
Enter our Paris vacation apartment to a small hallway with antique dresser and marble writing table. A built-in closet provides hanging space and shelves. The separate toilet is first on your left. Next is the bathroom with bathtub, flexible shower, and sink.
The apartment entryway leads to the beautiful living room directly ahead and open kitchen on the right. The original parquet flooring and fireplace make this a warm and inviting room. It is irresistible for our vacation guests to open the French doors that lead onto the balcony--to a perfect, full-on view of La Grande Dame de Paris, the Eiffel Tower; Champ de Mars Park; and, right, towards the Seine River.
We want you to sit on our vacation apartment’s balcony and watch a day in Paris unfold below: parents taking children to school; people buying their morning and evening baguettes, coming back from the market with their shopping baskets full, or joining friends for an espresso in the café on the corner. We believe that a great view is an important factor to a wonderful stay during your vacation in Paris, whether it’s for your first or fiftieth time. It is extremely difficult to find these kinds of apartments; we say they must have the ‘Wow!’ factor when you walk in the door. As a result, our selection is small, but we are uncompromising in our standards.
A pretty yellow sofa converts to a comfortable double bed at night. An old bistro table sits between the living room and kitchen area, providing a beautiful setting while you dine and admire the view from your Paris apartment.
The kitchen of our Paris vacation rental is sunny and large for an apartment of this size, where an antique provincial buffet provides excellent counter space. All of the basic kitchen requirements are included: combination microwave/convection oven, washer/dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, and four-burner electric stove. Dishes are from E. Dehellerin in Paris, the shop which furnishes all good restaurants. With a full array of cookware, you can shop the local market and prepare your own gourmet meals. The new washer/dryer is to the left of the sink.
The master bedroom of our Montrachet apartment for your vacation is next with a beautiful antique bed which has been converted to queen-size. Lean back against the pillows and enjoy a full-on view of the Eiffel Tower. It is truly stunning and demands breakfast in bed every morning. This is a cozy room and guests love the original fireplace on the left-hand wall. There is a closet with shelves for storage.
Important Features and the Neighborhood: A truly fantastic view of the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars Park. For that special occasion, the view and balcony create memories of a lifetime.
The location is one of the best in Paris: 3-minute walk to the river; 15 minutes to the Invalides; 10 minutes to the Trocadéro; the Grand Palais and the couturier's on Ave. Montaigne, the Four Seasons George V for tea or three-star dining; 15-minute walk to the Champs Elysées; 20-minute walk to Place de la Concorde and the Bon Marché department store.
You are surrounded by restaurants that local Parisians go to, cafés, bistros and shops.
You are six blocks to the golden dome of the Invalides, where Napoleon is buried, along with surrounding park.
You are seven blocks to the incredible Rodin Museum.
One block to the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars. The Champ de Mars Park is a rare bonus in Paris as there are few large parks in the center of the city. Walk, run, play in one of three playgrounds, basketball court, go to the puppet theater or just sit and enjoy. Nearby skating and bike rental are fun activities in the park.
The Seine River is three blocks away and right near where the famous Bateau Mouche boat tours begin.
Open Markets: Rue Cler is five blocks away, one of the best and most famous streets for food in Paris. Pont de l'Alma is a five-minute walk and has the largest open market in Paris every Saturday morning. Merchants come from the country with wines, fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, pâtés, breads, even five types of escargots!
