Main house has inverted house plan, with living room, full kitchen (indoor and outdoor dining) on top floor to take advantage of spectacular views, back porch with dining for eight with additional porch furniture so as to enjoy the sunsets, three bedrooms and three and a half baths. Downstairs apartment has twin bedroom, living/media/game room, bathroom, laundry, and sleeper sofa. Perfect teen hide-away. Furnishings are unique and very upscale.
The cottage directly on beach has two bedrooms, bathroom, living room, kitchen with handmade tiles, and is just steps from the pool. Additional downstairs apartment has king bedroom, living room, full kitchen with mosaic tiles, and laundry. Finest linens and designer furnishings in all rooms of property.
Travertine tile floors, imported hand-carved mahogany doors and wood work, and Ipe decks. All bathrooms are travertine tile accented with glass mosaic tiles. Rooms are bright and airy. This was the most amazing vacation rental with top notch accomadations and luxury at every turn. The outdoor bed was fabulous as was the entire property. I loved every minute of it and I can't wait to return someday. It was apparent immediately that the owners take great pride in ensuring the guest of Leapin Lizards have the best experience possible.

Leapin` Lizards was perfect for our group of 13! Everybody loved the house and the way the two separate houses were laid out. The furnishings, linens, bath towels, beach towels were all in excellent condition. The AC worked perfect unlike other houses we have rented in other islands. We loved the stereo systems; the pool area; all of the decks; and especially the deck and incredible bed in front of the small house closest to the beach. The beach was beautiful and secluded just like we were hoping it was. We also liked having "On Da Beach" bar and grill within walking distance and ate several meals there. The owners put a lot of thought into building the two houses and went all out. We also loved the way the bridge connected the two houses. The hammocks were great and the hot tub was also great. Judy did a great job taking care of our large party and coordinating getting all of our luggage and groceries in the truck and also picking up our luggage when we had to leave. She was very available any time we needed her and had a great attitude. She also was very helpful lining up taxis and gave us helpful hints on where to rent a boat. There were so many places to hang out at the two houses that you could get away from the group if you wanted privacy. We also liked having the bar b que pits and used them many of the nights we stayed. The website was accurate describing the house. Everything was clean and very well maintained. It was nice having a washer and dryer available if we needed it. We tried several restaurants on Elbow Cay and liked them all. For a special evening, I`d recommend the Harbor Lodge. We had the best lamb chops we have ever tasted there. We enjoyed cruising around on golf carts and really enjoyed the one day we rented boats for our group to go check out other islands. The scuba diving was nice and would be a great place for a beginner to learn since most of the diving is pretty shallow. I would have preferred a little better visibility and more dive sites to choose from but the overall experience of being on Elbow Cay was positive.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This was my first time in the Abacos and obviously first time staying at Leapin Lizards. I was only there for four days but I was able to relax as if I had been there for ten! When we first walked on the property, I was shocked at how beautiful everything was. The property is immaculate and very inviting. Not only that, spotless and comfortable. The beach and the pool - right there. The two houses (attached by a walkway and pool in the middle) accommodates a large party (I believe sleeps 16) but there is plenty of room to getaway and have your privacy if needed. There is not one thing you could want that isn't supplied. Stereo system with an Ipod attachment, televisions (if you want that - I'm happy to say I did not!) bbq grills. The town is within a short beachfront walk if you want to eat out or shop a little. If you bring your food in, there is no reason to leave! I was there with a group of friends but am in the process of planning a trip to bring my family for a reunion. This is truly the best vacation spot I have ever enjoyed and Leapin Lizards will always be my first choice of places to stay.
