This apartment is a brand new rental for 2005. Recently decorated, the beds, bedding, and furniture in this apartment are all brand-new and hand-chosen by the owners with comfort and luxury in mind.
The spacious apartment, at almost 80 square meters (850 square feet), is on the third floor of a gracious elevator building at the corner of rue de la Rochefoucauld and rue d'Aumale. The apartment is happily a corner one, blessed with views, sunlight, ventilation, and exposure from three directions. The large dining room can seat six adults easily, the kitchen is stocked with service for twelve, so a simple breakfast à deux or a lavish dinner party are both at your fingertips.
The living room is designed for relaxation, with a flat screen TV, DVD, stereo, and a stack of novels and coffee-table books to leaf through, and it boasts a special sofabed that can be made up as two separate twins or one king-size bed, offering a range of sleeping possibilities. Also provided for your convenience is free WiFi (plus an ethernet cable hookup), Cable TV with 50 Channels (some in English), and a library of DVD's to watch (the DVD player takes both European and North American zoned DVD's)
The Area The quiet cobblestone streets around St. Georges metro area, placed almost equidistant from Trinité and the Grands Magasins area as well as Sacré Coeur Cathedral, offer one of the most exquisite living experiences in Paris. Held a secret for too long, this area was recently lauded in the New York Times Travel section, "...Instead, head over to the Rue des Martyrs, just northeast of the Galeries Lafayette department store and southwest of the Basilica of Sacré-Coeur at Montmartre. This half-mile street, mostly uphill, is the spine of a neighborhood that offers magic in a compressed time and space."
Both the Metro and the Grand Boulevards are but a mere 5 minutes walk away, and yet the neighborhood surrounding this apartment offers complete calm and tranquility in the evening - something to be well sought after in a Parisian apartment rental.
Markets, restaurants, cafes, and shopping are within a quick stroll out the front door, and while Wagner's former home around the corner indicates the serenity on the street, a hop on the metro or a jaunt up to Montmartre will put you right into the surge and sexiness of Parisian nightlife. |
