Relax in this fabulous waterfront cottage, Puerto Del Sol, with panoramic views of the North River and the Mobjack Bay.
In the morning with a cup of coffee you can enjoy watching the activities of the local watermen pulling their crab pots from the comfort of your screen porch.
With your private pier daily activities can include swimming, crabbing and fishing. It also provides a place for you to tie up your jet ski or small boat. If swimming in the bay isn't your cup of tea there is always your private pool to enjoy.
In the early evening the spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed from the sunroom, screen porch or pier. While the views at Puerto Del Sol are breathtaking the interior is warm and comfortable. The living room is large with ample seating space, a fireplace, TV and VCR/DVD combination player. There is also a sun room across the back of the home for additional living space with another TV and DVD player. There is a first floor master bedroom suite with private bath which is furnished with a queen-size bed. The additional two bedrooms are upstairs, one with a full-size bed and the other with two twin beds. These rooms share a full bath.
There are three areas for you to enjoy your meals. The dining area inside which is furnished with an antique pine table, the screen porch has a glass top wrought iron table and the pool area has an additional table with umbrella.
We provide everything that you need for a relaxing vacation including a fully equipped kitchen, bed linens and towels, games, puzzles and books.
Mathews County is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy being in a peaceful environment. It also provides recreational, cultural and sightseeing opportunities. Whether you want to play golf, visit Williamsburg and Busch Gardens, charter a fishing boat or play tennis, all are just a short ride away.

This was our second visit to Puerto Del Sol. AMAZING!!! The home is very beautiful, clean and welcoming. The crabbing was great and the pool was wonderful to cool off in on the very hot days of our vacation. Our family stayed close by, only leaving to fish at the Chesapeake Bay. Everything that you need is provided; and such a beatiful view from the screened porch and the dock! Thanks for a memorable vacation!

This was one of the best vacation spots I have come across. It was rustic and quiet but had plenty to do as well. The crabbing was unbelievable and when it got too hot the pool was perfect for cooling off. If you just want to relax there is plenty of space for that as well. Everything was thought of by the owner from the towels and linens to the kitchen equipment. My kids are already asking me when we can go back. We hope to return year after year.

We had a wonderful family vacation in Mathews this summer. Our jaws just dropped when we saw the view from the family room...awesome! The house was truly incredible and very hard to leave, we caught crabs everyday off of the dock, rode bikes, swam in the pool, kayaked, went sailing, visited Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown and Busch Gardens...and spent many blissful hours just watching the tide come and go...the house was sparkling clean and very well appointed. I would highly recommend this home...it is truly special!

We just returned from a weeks stay, and it was absolutely wonderful. The house was so comfortable and clean and provided us with everything we needed. The setting was extremely peaceful and relaxing and the pool and pier were outstanding. We caught crab every day and loved driving around the county to see all the sights. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and Im sure this will not be our last visit.

If you work in a stressful enviroment and need a little peace and quiet, this is surely the place to be. The sunrise and sunsets are spectactular. The suroundings are so peaceful, but you can also have a wonderful time exploring the surrounding area. The pool is also a great place to relax or have fun. Put all your worries away when it comes to wondering what to bring,the house has virtually has everything but the food. This was by far the best vacation our family has had in a long time. 4 star quality.

If you are looking for a place to stay that is peaceful and quiet, this is the one. The house is great, has everything you could think of. You could sit and watch the water, birds, boats, and sunsets from the dock, yard, and screened porch or in the air conditioned sun room. We even saw a few sting rays. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils you would need for a week of vacation. Both the sun room and living room have tables for putting together puzzles or playing games (provided). This place also has a nice pool to relax around or in. The pool starts out at around 2 or 3 feet and goes to around 6 feet deep. The owner was very nice when I contacted her and she contacted us during the week to make sure everything was going well. There are things to do around the area. You need to get a map in order to find them. We visited Gwynn's Island, The Poddery, Gloucester and ended the week with a charter boat fishing trip to the bay with Capt. Jerry Thrash (Queens Creek Outfitters). We will definitely return in the future. Sometimes you don't know what you are going to get when you pay for a place rented by an individual. This was worth every penny. Thanks!

I am very picky about cleanliness, and have stayed in alot of vacation homes that were beautiful, but not very clean.This house was BEAUTIFUL, and spotless!! I felt very comfortable, and at home. We also loved the dock! The kids enjoyed fishing, and crabbing, and my husband and I enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL view, and the quiet! Also,I cant say enough about how wonderful the owners are! Mrs. Rowe was absolutely wonderful. She was very pleasant and helpful every time I contacted her. My family had a wonderful vacation, and plan to visit again!
