We rented the house for 5 days during Christmas 2011 and were very happy with our choice. We had our 10-year old with us who is not quite easy to be pleased, but he was always busy with all the fun stuff that house had to offer. Originally we were planning to do some winter activities at Hunter Mountain, but then changed our minds taking on the games downstairs, upstairs, movies, BBQing, hot tub, making fire oustside, taking walks and simply relaxing in that isolated place that gives you a total peace of mind. I would say that the only downside was an outage once late at night because of the annoying weather - but we understand that such things could happen anywhere any time.... This property and location can certainly fit any age as there is something to do for everybody. We did not have any problems with the owner, in fact he happened to be very responsive and honest. We would most certainly go back.

I rented this lovely house for my fiances birthday, She absolutely loved it, Has a game room with some classic 80s arcade games air hockey , pool table it also has a nice fire pit and hot tub . Everyone we had up there loved it. The owner is very easy to speak to and helps you through out the entire rental process. My fiance wants to rent it a couple a times a year for get togethers and birthday getaways. I loved it and so did my future wife and all of our friends. Its a rugged outdoor getaway. Thanks, Nik

Finding a weekend cabin for an ever-growing group of friends (each with their own idea of a 'perfect' vacation) is very tough...but this place really did have it all. We cooked, sunbathed, played arcade games, soaked in the hot-tub, and sang songs around the fire to our hearts content! The location is stunning and what you can't see in the pictures is that you don't have any visible neighbors. We felt like we were in the middle of the country, which is exactly what we wanted. Rick is a wonderful owner, and has done a great job with the house. (The negative review below made us really nervous before booking, but we didn't notice ANY of these problems during our stay). Tip for summer visitors...Kaaterskill Falls (reportedly the tallest waterfalls in NY State) is a 20-30 minute drive away. Just about the only reason to tear yourself away from the wraparound deck for an afternoon! Truly a great weekend. We will most certainly be back.

Lovely Lovely house. The house is very comfortable and it's a real bargain. when you wrote this house has everything, you weren't kidding!! There is a lot to do in the area but we find it difficult to leave the house. The huge deck, jacuzzi, and gas grill were used everyday and night! We all had a great time.

The four of us stayed at your niece house and we had a great time. The skiing was great at Hunter mountain and coming back to the game room and hot tub was fantastic. The extras like the spice rack and numerous movies made our stay even better. We are looking forward to a summer rental at your beautiful house.

The place is falling apart. It is infested with ladybugs, and when told the owner about them he replied yes that happens a lot. The doors have holes in them, the hot tub cover is falling into the hot tub, the whole ceiling is turning brown, the basement/game room ceiling leaks all over every time someone taker a shower. It had 6-8 inches of show on the ground and was not shoveled and had no shovel, thank god we had brought one with us and the garbage was overflowed once we got there. And your first full day you pay for starts at 6pm unless you want to pay an extra $60 to get there earlier than 6 at night. All in all I would never stay there again!
