My two friends and I could not have been happier with our vacation. The house was the perfect base from which to explore the entire island. The owners have all the bases covered. When we arrived, the house was beautifully lit, with tropical flowers and all the info we could possibly need there to greet us. The house is well-stocked with anything you might need and, quite frankly, the pictures just don't do the place justice. The house is fabulous. What's more, the location is great for a quick stroll up to a great shopping/dining center or a longer stroll to the beach (Skip Baby Beach--close, but not great swimming--and Lawai--a little further, but really crowded--and trek a little bit further to Kukuiula Harbor....it's well protected and generally deserted). We ventured all over the island and no matter where we went, we kept commenting on how happy we were with our location and the pleasures of the house. Five stars fabulous. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time at your Kaua'i beach home! You truly thought of everything! The location was phenomenal! The kitchen was well stocked, the grill in great working order, beach towels, beach chairs, a cooler, boogy boards . . . You truly thought of everything and more! I was a bit apprehensive when I found we were sharing the property with others, you designed living space so well that we never heard anyone! (only the surf at night . . . Loved the windows!). We would be happy to recommend your home to other travelers!

Aloha! Thank you for your lovely, perfect home. We had a wonderful family vacation here. We went on many adventures & it was always nice to come home at the end of the day. We cooked many fabulour meals here and really appreciated all the details you thought of. I took our 7 yr old on a HoloHolo charter of the Napali Coast...it was amazing! Micah & Ethan went ziplining, we loved Waimea Canyon, all the lookouts & hiking the Pihea Trail (we rented a frame backpack for our 1 yr old..ReadyRentals was awesome). We absolutely loved Baby Beach, snorkeling at Lawai, Poipu & Kiahuna. Walking on Mahaulepu was glorious. On Friday, November 12th, we got married at Keiki Cove..it was perfect! It was also Micah's birthday. :-) Mahalo!

The island of Kauai is absolutely beautiful. Poipu Beach was the best for relaxation and fun--watching the surfers, snorkeling, swimming and sunbathing. JoJo's Shaved Ice definately is great. All the scenic views--the mountains and canyons are breathtaking. And the blue colors of the Pacific are beautiful. Then, at the end of each day of our adventures we were so lucky to be able to come back to this house which truly was our "home away from home". You have a lovely place here. Thank you for sharing it.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! You have a beautiful home which we enjoyed greatly. It all started with a few pics on the computer of your home, five months of waiting, and then arrival! We were taken back on how much the home exceeded our expectations. Lots of extras, and nicely outfitted. It was a great home base to set forth from on our daily adventures. Our 3-year old was in heaven, and so were mom & dad. So far out of the three islands we have been to, Kauai takes the top.

Jim & Valorie, We had a wonderful time in Kauai, partly because of your wonderful house. We have also stayed at Akala Pua & love both houses. What a treat! Better than the best hotel! I would never have slept so well. These beds were so comfortable and the towels so fluffy. I love your taste in decorating too!! Well done. We stayed with our 18-month old and he loved Baby Beach and so many of the hikes close by. Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here on the island a here in Poipu (especially this cottage!!). Ahe Lani is just like home and so perfectly designed to catch all the tropical breezes! Love the morning "tropical" bird wake up call (ok--and the roosters, too!). Favorite beach was Anini Beach on north shore & Lydgate Park Beach for the kids! Loved Joe's on the Green (Poipu) for breakfast & also Eggberts in Coconut Marketplace near Kapa'a town. Also in Kapa'a MUST try Popo's cookies--Yum!! Also loved Plantation Gardens (Poipu) for dinner. Thanks for everything! We truly felt like "your children" here at Ahe Lani--and you built this place just for us!! We'll be back next year! :-)

Hi! This is Jim Wisda, the owner, updating everyone about the construction in Poipu. Kukuiula is nearly done building a new shopping center about 1/2 mile to the east of us. Koloa Landing condominium is also under construction a little farther East. We are generally downwind so there is distant construction noise. The construction of the condominium will probably take another year. As you can see from the comments, no one has mentioned it in the guestbook during the last fifteen months.

Thank you very much for this cozy and pleasant time. Every morning waked up by hearing the singing of many birds. Breakfast we took at lanai, this is wonderful time as a beginning of the day. Lanai spreads and expands widely to the far. We became more comfortable day by day. This hideaway house is a very important place. I would like to tell about this house to my friends. We have come to Hawaii about 30 times.

Dear Wisda Family, Thank you so much for the amazing home that has provided us with a wonderful beginning to our honeymoon. We have enjoyed being away from the crowds, but so close to everything. The amenities have been top quality, and we really appreciated having necessities such as paper towels and soap provided! The lanai is aperfect place for eating and relaxing especially when the friendly orange tabby cat comes by for a visit (we named him George). Our highlight was Spouting Horn at sunset and sunrise. Deveon also discovered a new obsession, all things lilikoi. Thanks again, and we cannot wait for an anniversary visit!

We had an awesome time here! We have been to this island four times now! Last time (one year ago) we stayed in this exact same house! If you want to find a really really (we're talking best on this island) good shave ice, go to JoJo's in Waimea. It's so good! If you want a place for an amazing lunch, go to Hamura's Saimin in Lihue! Have fun!

This lovely cottage is named perfectly, the breezes through the house are wonderful. Although not on the ocean you can hear the ocean at night while in bed. It is so clean and well equiped We had a fabulous 2week vacation. Construction was not a problem .

We loved our stay at Ahe Lani! We were there the end of January, 2008. There was the major construction going on nearby as well as reroofing next door, but that was not an issue at night and we weren't home much during the day. The detour to Poipu was a little confusing but that may be temporary. The house is fairly new, well kept up and clean, with quality cabinets, appliances and furnishings. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the two bedrooms with their own bathrooms were separated enough to allow plenty of privacy for the two couples staying there. The house is not right on the beach but within walking distance to Lawai Beach where there is great snorkeling. We would love the opportunity to stay there again someday.

This was the perfect rental house for our family. Our boys had the best time and a memorable vacation. Jim, this was our second time staying on Kauai in one of your homes.
