Rent one...rent all!! We are perfect for family reunions...all Casas are in one location!! Please click on the link provided below for all our listings or go to casadebalboa.
Have the BEST of both... the beautiful Newport Bay AND the Ocean!! It doesn't get better than this!! We have one of the best views in Newport Beach!!
Casa de Balboa is located on Balboa Peninsula with ferry service to Balboa Island. The peninsula is primarily divided by one road, Balboa Boulevard, with a short block on either side with the ocean or bay.
Views! Views! Views! Unlike many ocean front properties (no view due to the width of the beach) you have amazing views day and night! The water and sand are only 30' away!
We have a premium location across from a beautiful large bay beach (Mother's Beach), with views across Newport Bay of Fashion Island and Newport Coast. The view is particularly lovely at night with city and bay lights. Watch the boats pass by from the comfort of your living room, and of course, from your large private front courtyard (which is great for outdoor dining). The courtyard is covered and walled (with beautiful gardens including star jasmine and gardenias) on both sides offering a feeling of privacy and unmatched coziness while enjoying the gorgeous full bay and beach views. It also affords front-row seating for the fourth of July Boat Parade and the world-famous Newport Harbor Christmas Boat Parade.
Casa 227 is a beautifully decorated lower level beachfront Casa. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms on a 45 wide lot (mostlots are 25-30 ft wide) affording significantly more outdoor space without that bowling alley feel.
This home was recently extensively renovated. The interior is beautifully decorated. The floors are lovely travertine stone (except in the bedrooms -- which are new Anderson Coastal series distressed wood). The living room has a lovely seagrass rug atop the stone.
The kitchen has custom cabinets and granite counters with a bar open to the dining area.
The living room decor is upscale beachy with white slip-covered furniture, a limestone console, and beautiful artwork. It is painted in a soothing neutral palette -- designed to enhance the lovely water view.
Both bedrooms are generous in size, with built-ins in the closets. To add more of a Caribbean feel, the closet doors are louvered and painted white against the beige background. The master bedroom has sliding doors to a private rear courtyard with gardens of hibiscus, bougainvillea, and giant birds of paradise.
There is sleeping for four in beds -- with one NEW Cal King Westin Heavenly pillow top-size bed in the master bedroom, and two twins in the second bedroom. There is also a rollaway bed available for a fifth guest. Both bedrooms are also painted in neutral colors, enhancing the lively furnishings and artwork. The glass sliding door in the master opens to the private rear courtyard with beautiful gardens
The baths, one private to the master, are beautifully done in a neutral travertine and marble.
In addition to our bayfront location (the water and the sand are approx 30" away!), the property is one short block from the ocean boardwalk, pier, and walking distance to many restaurants with a variety of fare including Mexican, Seafood such as the famous Crab Cooker, The Cannery, and Blue Water Grill, Italian, Sushi, and several fine dining such as Ocean Front and the Arches.
For those with children, weekly summer programs are held at our beach, such as sailing, sailing/tennis combo, kayak, and swimming (Newport Beach has won water quality control awards). Our beach, as well as our ocean beach,is tested each week.
Walk or bike to Balboa Island, Lido, Cannery area (Blue Water Grill, The Arches, Alta Cafe, and the Cannery restaurants plus small antique and other shops, and the Fun Center located near the Pavilion.
Bring your fishing poles! There is a small bay dock two doors away for fishing and loading/unloading of boat passengers. There are electric and motor boats for rent at the Pavilion. Kayaks are available for rent two blocks away next to the tot lot park with swings, slide, and jungle gym. Don't forget your tennis rackets too! Free Courts are next to the park.
It doesn't get any better than this!
The property is well maintained and always super clean.
From the moment you walk through the Dutch door, you'll feel "at home" - and maybe a little pampered at the beach. ©
Parking is not an issue. There is a garage for each Casa and plenty of metered (free at night) and non-metered parking.
Make memories!!!

This is a great spot to view the boat parade. The location is perfect for beach and bay lovers. Once we parked we could walk to everything we needed including a 7 eleven for last minute things and several restaurants. The home is in perfect condition, updated and very well cared for. The bay was right across the street (it is a dead end street) so no thru traffic. In the opposite direction 2 blocks away is the Pacific Ocean.. We walked a lot including a short walk to the Newport Pier........Would highly recommend this unit...We have stayed in many VRBO & HOME AWAY rentals and this ranks way up there!!!! Thanks to the owners. We will pass the word......

I wanted to thank Pam for a wonderful stay in her home that we rented this past Thanksgiving Week. She was always so quick to get back with me whenever I had a question and she was full of helpful information about the area. The home was very clean and was beautifully decorated. I especially liked the way the morning sun shined on the front patio in the morning. It was wonderful to sit out there enjoying the view and the paper. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her place to family and friends!

A last minute getaway turnout to be fantastic. Your casa was lovely and felt like a home away from home. One suggestion, please replace the shower head in the guest bathroom. Kind regards.
Owner response:Thank you for taking the time to write. Although four stars is great..we strive to give our guests a five star experience every time. It is input like yours that helps us attain that goal. The shower head will be replaced pronto! Thanks again!

We booked for a week this August wanting to get out of our scorching Arizona heat. It couldnt have been better. We have a very well trained dog who accompanies us everywhere and the ground floor was perfect for him. He enjoyed both the spacious backyard and the very quaint front yard area overlooking the strand beach and street. Cozy, modern, contemporary, comfortable...the owner is a fabulous decorator. The other units are stunning as well.I want her to decorate my home! The kitchen had all the moden updated appliances and the cupboards were stocked with utensils and cookware. We arent huge beach-goers, but every amentity for that was in the closets and garage. We had chairs, towels and even an umbrella to shade us from the sun. I loved the quiet location at a dead end street, hardly any traffic which made it quiet and relaxing. I am definately booking for next year!!
Owner response:Thanks Karin for taking the time to write. We look forward to your return in 2012!!

Casa de Balboa properties are excellent and we would highly recommend them. We had never rented a house/apt abroad preferring hotels and were apprehensive about the quality but Casa de Balboa is superb- beautifully furnished/ fitted out, good bathrooms and kitchen and well equipped and spotlessly clean. We didn't eat out much but Villa Nova and 21 Waterfront are excellent but expensive. We walked the seafront most mornings. The location is not oceanfront but minutes away and we liked the quieter location rather than having a patio on the ocean and no privacy. Patio looks out on bay beach and gets sun in the morning from 6am then shade from 12 on - perfect. We rented bikes and went over on ferry to Balboa island and rented paddle boards from place 1 street north of 7 Eleven. Best surf was at Salt Creek south of Laguna.
Owner response:HI Gerry, Thanks so much for writing a review. I am so glad you enjoyed Casa de Balboa and our beautiful niche. Newport Beach is well known for it's surfing spots...some streets better than others and some areas are better on certain days due to the weather. The surf was excellent near the pier a couple of blocks away when I was in Newport last (several weeks ago). I don't think it could get any better than that. Of course there is always the famous "Wedge" for body surfing!! We hope to have you back for your next visit to the US!! Kind regards, Pam

My husband and I just stayed there for 2 weeks. The unit was comfortable and had everything we needed. The beach area across the street is great for children and activities like paddle boarding. The unit was close to restaurants and shopping. We look forward to renting the unit again in the near future.
