Charming Sausalito Cottage with private courtyard. Perfect for vacationing families. Five minute walk to downtown Sausalito shops and restaurants. Ten minute walk to park with playground and basketball court. Ten minute walk to Sausalito Ferry Terminal where you can catch ferries to downtown San Francisco, Tiburon and Larkspur. Plenty of other Bay Area attractions and activities nearby.
The cottage has plenty of comfort, charm and space (900 square feet). PLEASE NOTE - THE COTTAGE HAS A STUDIO/OPEN FLOOR PLAN LAYOUT WHICH MEANS THERE IS NO DOOR SEPERATING THE SLEEPING AREA FROM THE LIVING ROOM AREA. For sleeping, there is one king-size bed, one full size futon, one single futon, and an additional full sized air mattress if needed (Crib is also available on request).
For meals, there is a dining area (seats six comfortably...high-chair available on request), kitchen area with microwave, large toaster oven, refrigerator, hot plates, and outdoor grill.

I cannot begin to say how impressed we have been with the warm welcome we received here. We arrived on Christmas Eve to find our host, Jackie, had stocked our fridge full of food to make sure we had something to eat on Christmas Day. The cottage is in a GREAT location and has been everything we need for an amazingz holiday. It is very child friendly with everything we could possilby need to entertain our 4 year old daughter. And it's great value for money. We will certainly be back next time we're in San Francisco.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

I often travel to work in San Francisco from So. Calif., and when I can I stay at this cottage. The cottage has it all, a fully functional kitchen, large sitting area with a writing desk, TV, eating table for 4, couch, bathroom, perfect closet for a weeks stay and cool views of the bay! I come and go as I please and walking into town is quite easy. It is also very convenient to take the ferries in the AM and PM when I work in SF's downtown financial district.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with young children, age 55+.

We stayed at this cottage for 3 days and loved it. Beautiful view from the porch and walking distance to the town of Sausalito. The cottage was comfortable, and our 4 year old loved the toys and the 3 dogs that would come to visit from the main house. We plan to come back.Recommended for: Families with young children.

Our family of four stayed here for a week. The cottage was perfect as a base to explore San Franciso and Marin county. While it was easy to get to the ferry, we ended up driving everywhere - there was no traffic to speak of on the Golden Gate bridge, and parking everywhere was easy. Then, it was so nice to return home again to this lovely cottage. As others have said, the beds are comfortable, the setting lovely, the views from the garden and kitchen spectacular. I must add, too, that we are not dog people, but the owner's dogs are really nice - don't let the dog comments keep you away! :)Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We had the pleasure of renting this beautiful cottage during the latter part of September. We were so glad that we did! The location is perfect and the physical setting at the bottom of a hillside garden is pure magic! An easy walk (downhill) puts you at the Sausalito-San Francisco ferries, and the stroll through the town of Sausalito and the neighbourhood's surrounds is worth the effort. And if you are a dog lover, the Sausalito cottage has a much-welcomed extra 'bonus'. The Bay Area is a magical, special place: and cottage perched on the side of a Sausalito hillslope enhances those qualities considerably. We the Kabbalaoui family had a wonderful time in this beautiful cottage, during our ten day stay in August 2006 it was peaceful, relaxing and enjoyed the incredible views.
