My wife and I had a great time in Taos and Casa Pepper was just what we needed. Ed offered us a great price for our stay. The listing was accurate describing the property-Casa Pepper and Casita Pepper each have their own private hot tub which we loved. It was great to be outside and look at the stars from your own private hot tub. The street is very quiet and the solitude was great. The unit had just what we needed for the weekend, including some coffee in the cupboard which was nice. Photos of the unit were accurate. We loved the skylight in the bedroom-it helped us get out of bed in the mornings! You can also shut it if you want to keep it dark. Ed was a pleasure to work with, he was quick to answer our questions and offered great recommendations for food. Our favorites were Michaels Kitchen and Bent Street Cafe for breakfast, and Love Apple for dinner. We didn't have any bad food all weekend though. I would highly recommend Casa Pepper to anyone-it would be great for kids also as there is plenty of room. The location was very close to town-a few blocks easy walk.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Great place house at an attractive price. Had a few essential food and kitchen items: coffee filters, salt, pepper, a few herbs and spices; hot tub was hot, beds were firm, etc. All was well. Thank you Ed.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We were a family of five....2 parents with 3 adult children. It was a little cozy at times, but it worked fine for us. We really appreciated how close it was to everything esp. once we figured out the short cuts around town. Beds were comfortable and decor was nice. I would maybe get some folding chairs or something so 4-5 people could sit and eat together. Just a thought. :) We skied at Taos Ski valley. Kids loved it. I thought it was too difficult for most intermediate (old) skiers but it was beautiful. Also the Peublo for Christmas Eve was very special. All in all, I would highly recommend this place and go there again. You will not be disappointed.!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I've stayed at Casa Pepper twice with my adult daughter and we know we will return many more times. So many interesting places to visit within an hour's drive or bike ride; then the joy of returning to this private, quiet oasis. Relax in the courtyard;off to dinner nearby then, back to the hot tub under the stars. Tammy and Ed offer a very clean, comfortable (Oh! those bed linens!) casa; Really good value for the amenities offered. We like Graham's Grille, Dragonfly; this time we discovered the Adobe Bar in the Historic Taos Inn for very good affordable pub fare with good music beginning at 7 PM. Thanks, Tammy and Ed for providing your guests with a truly relaxing, comfortable experience. We stayed in Casa Pepper while we waited closing on our new home here in Taos. What a wonderful respite in all the chaos of moving. The home is simple but complete with all the Taos charm, and so close to everything. Even the neighbors are nice and make you feel welcome. Best of all was coming back to Casa Pepper at night and soaking in the hot tub after a long day of working, getting our new home ready to live in. We would definitely recommend this home to friends and I am sure we will use it again when we have more company than we can house.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I just loved this place! It is probably the best equipped rental that we have ever stayed in and the layout and extras (like hot tub) were excellent. We easily walked into Taos and found easy ways to get to the unit without going through the main drag when it was backed up. It is very quite and private and the covered parking is a rare bonus. We will definitely come back to THIS unit when we return to Taos!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful time at Case Pepper. It was the perfect size and location for our family of five. Very clean on a quiet and private street not far from the famous Taos Plaza. The private courtyard with hot tub, deck, grill were all sooo nice! It was clean and also stocked with the basics too! It was very affordable, clean and comfortable with very tasteful decor. We will definitely stay again! The host, Ed was very helpful with suggestions and advice for our first time visit to Taos. :)Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This clean and cozy little house has a wonderful courtyard and is easy walking distance from the Plaza. Our family of 5 had plenty of beds, fun in the jacuzzi, and home cooked meals. We were grateful for amenities like soap, shampoo, plenty of TP, and spices.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed for 4 nights at Casa Pepper and had a nice 1st time visit to Taos. The house was clean, comfy, and had plenty of supplies/cooking equipment. The decor was fitting for the area, giving a great Southwest atmosphere. We used the grill and hot tub and both worked well. My son enjoyed the Wifi and the same satellite service we use at home. It was unusually hot for this time of year and the central air was wonderful to have! There was a nice carport and plenty of parking beside it for a large vehicle, but the street was kinda narrow to get to the property (as is common in much of Toas historic district). The courtyard was smallish but well laid out. It had beautiful flowers blooming with a lot of nice seating area (just watch out for the bees as they were enjoying the flowers as well). The grocery stores, walmart, and walgreens are all only a few minutes away in case you forget to pack something. Unfortunately due to a medical emergency, we saw more of the local hospital that the town. (The staff at Holy Cross was wonderful though!) My son did get a little fishing in on the Red River north of town, and we had a nice grilled trout dinner. Out of state fishing license is $18/day for youth. Lots of nice national forest area outside of town for hiking. We did short trip down into the Rio Grand Gorge at Wild Rivers BLM site - hot and dry here so bring plenty of water if you go. I highly recommend the Vietnam Memorial near Angel Fire as well - there was a nice museum there. Looking forward to a chance to return to Taos sometime under better conditions (cooler weather and no emergency room visits!). We missed the Pueblo visit and didn't get to any of the museums in town that we had planned. We would definitely consider returning to either of the properties owned by these folks. The price was reasonable and the cleaning fee/taxes included were a great perk.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
