We go to the beach this time of year for our annual family "financial" meeting. What a great place to stay...our 2 furkids enjoyed the short walk to the beach and the fenced backyard. Very cozy, clean and comfortable. Will come again...thanks for having a pet friendly getaway. Weather was also great for our stay, couldn't ask for more!!!! See you next year.

I must say that my drive to and from Lincoln City was horrendous, in snow storms both directions. We were even stuck in LC for an extra day as the roads were blocked to leave town. The home was delightful and cozy and never lost power, although I did buy a couple extra candles and left them for future guests. The master bed was so comfy and my friend and I had everything we needed. The owner was quick to answer the phone or text when I needed her. The local community theatre had a great show on and we enjoyed it. Thank you so much for a week we will never forget! Loved the antique malls.
Owner response:Kathleen, I felt SO bad for that drive you made. But I was tickled that you and your friend were having a good time. I was happy to make sure you had some extra time to find that sweet spot to make the drive home. Please do come back....we don't have that kind of weather very often...really...honestly!

We just spent a wonderful week in this homey vacation rental. What a treat! The home is equipped with everything we needed and the fenced in backyard gave us peace of mind for our two dogs. The beach was an easy walk away and the sunsets were unbelievable. We enjoyed oysters from Yaquina Bay, Crabs from the boat in Newport, and winning over 500.00 at the Casino! Score!! Now that we've found this ace of a property we plan on returning. Sharon was so very accommodating. Thank you Sharon. We look forward to visiting again.
Owner response:I am looking forward to your coming back and bringing your furkids with you! Thank you so much for the kind review.

We had an amazing time at the house with the purple door. Our kids and dog loved spending time in the fenced in backyard. We really liked that this house was well stocked with all the things that we needed for our stay. We also liked that the 2 blocks to the beach was a quick and easly straight shot with only 58 stairs down to the beach. We counted them everytime we went up them. We got our excercise!!! This was our second visit to the house and we will be back again soon.

My daughter & granddaughter stayed at this sweet little cottage July 27-Aug 3, 2011. My sister came out from Salem and joined us. The cottage is just as described and is equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning, sipping coffee and listening to the waves roll in & watching the birds chase each other from tree to tree. The beds were very comfortable. My sister was recovering from knee surgery and so having the master bedroom on the main floor was very convenient. The cottage was very clean (& I'm really finicky about that sort of thing). We had no problem accessing the wi-fi and we had 2 laptops with us. The cottage is on a quiet street which was just what I needed on vacation - quiet. I live in a big city with all the noise that goes with that, so I was looking forward to relaxing in a peaceful atmosphere - I got that. The location is perfect - perhaps 4 blocks to a grocery store (IGA), 3 blocks to access the beach, 3 blocks to the main road through Lincoln City that passes by shops and restaurants. We cooked most of our meals at the cottage, but did visit Moe's Chowder House in Newport - my sister said they made the best clam chowder. My daughter and I also checked out the Casino a couple of nights. If you enjoy Casinos - this one is really good. I liked it better than all of the ones I went to in Vegas. I would recommend this sweet place to family & friends - it's perfect for families or a group of friends getting together. The price can't be beat - we received more than our money's worth and I felt like I had hit the jackpot when the place was available during the time frame I had. Thank you so much Sharon for sharing your cute little place. I look forward to a return visit - maybe next year.

Our stay at this house was great. The kids loved the toy closet, and the 2 bedrooms upstairs were great. Everything about the house worked well for us. I loved the backroom with the tv and comfy couch, let the kids watch tv back there and we could use the living room. The full size table was fantastic for family meals, which we cooked a lot of during our visit, since the weather was less than desirable. The fenced backyard was great for our dog, and looking out the backwindow while enjoying a cup of coffee, I spotted a deer in the neigbors yard. Very cool. Loved the location. Walked to the beach, walked to the grocery store, where video rental machine available.

We thoroughly enjoyed a week stay at the cottage with our fur kids. The neighborhood was very quiet (even on New Year's Eve) and oh-so-close to the beach! I appreciate how clean it was, too. We would highly recommend this wonderful spot and would rent here again. Did I mention how close to the beach it is?!!! It was a particularly chilly week at the coast and the heater was amazing! I can only imagine how fantastic it would be in the summer! It is also a great base location to do day trips.

Don't let the weather worn exterior fool you. The inside is cute, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The back yard was a bonus for the dogs. Just a hop, skip and a jump and you are on the beach. It is so hard to find a home to rent at the beach that doesn't break the bank, so this was a GREAT find. The owner was so helpful and prompt with all her correspondence, I just knew that we would not be disappointed....and we weren't. Will recommend to anyone that asks!

My family of 6 (5 adults) stayed early in July, and the house was wonderful! A very cute, comfortable place, and our little dog was so happy to be welcomed along! The convenient walk straight down the street to the beach access stairs (with a bathroom even) was perfect - we walked it often. We couldn't get the wifi to work for us, but that wasn't much of an inconvenience - I think only the nephew cared, as the rest of us can live electronics free. : ) We had a great visit to the coast, and this house was a big part of that! A very big THANK YOU to Sharon for providing such a cozy place, and I would definitely recommend it and would love to come back for sure!

Sharon-Again thank you so much for letting us use your lovely cottage for the week end. We just got back yesterday and my husband and I are having withdrawals. We miss your peaceful retreat. If you need rest and relaxation; this is the house for you. It is very well equiped with everything you could imagine. Even the little deck area off the kitchen has numerous bbque equipment and a little patio set calling you. The back yard is peaceful, master bedroom is comfy and peaceful. The quiet residential neighborhood is you guessed it peaceful. It is only a very short two blocks to the beach with a bench at the top of the stairs (and public restroom) to just sit and watch the waves lapping or catch the sun setting. There are lots of side streets to walk the dogs and our small kennel fit right under the end table by the loveseat. There are regular towels not the chenzy motel type but large towels to use and well stocked bathroom and kitchen. Even the coffee pot was ful size:) Having a full size washer and dryer makes it easy to clean. There are just too many marvelous things about this house to list. End of story-you need to try it for yourself. You'll be glad you did. Thanks, Wanda, Dale, Bruno and Sassy:):):)

This is a wonderful little house just 2 blocks from the ocean. It's in a very quiet neighborhood and has everything you need for your stay at the beach. Sharon is wonderful too and is very easy to get a hold of and make reservations with. We had our Thanksgiving dinner there this year and it was perfect. We were able to cook a full meal and have a relaxing time at the beach as well.

Sharon, our family of five loved the beach house, and our three days spent there. After sleeping in the extremely comfortable bed in the master bedroom, my wife and I came home to our old mattress. We had to buy one the next day after we got home. If sleeping comfortably is important to you, rent this house! It is all that the others who commented said it was. The beach access ... the way the house is stocked (books, videotapes, DVDs, firewood, even some food items)... everything was first rate. We'll be back.

Posted with my guest's pemission Hi Sharon! I finally have a minute to let you know what a wonderful time our family had at the Lincoln City house over Christmas. It could not be a better set-up for us! Everything from the kitchen to the dog pen to the really comfy master bed (it was hard for me not to want to spend more time there reading ;-)) was such a pleasure!! The kids had a great time, and my husband actually relaxed too! Anyway, we tried to leave it as clean as we found it (with the exception of a clean load of dishes and towels in the dryer. I just didn't have time to finish and get them put away). We are hoping to be able to rent it again sometime later in 2006!! I also have told some of our friends about it (but not too many as I don't want it rented all up :-D). Thanks again for a terrific house and have a great new year! Blessings, Nanci

What a great get away for a weekend reunion with the ladies! There was only 3 of us but we enjoyed the beds especially. They were so comfortable to sleep in. And the house is decorated so cheery & it's very clean. And I loved not having to bring towels and a sleeping bag! Nice fenced in yard for our dog. And stores within walking distance. We enjoyed it so much that my husband & I are returning in Oct. to celebrate our 23rd anniversary.

We found this beach house bright and clean and very comfortable. I tried all the mattresses at nap time.(we are 70) I loved sleeping upstairs in the cozy small room with sun streaming through the window. But, found the most wonderful ocean breeze in the back room behind the kitchen on the comfy couch or day bed. The beach was long and gradual and few people and an easy walk. The surrounding homes were well kept and quiet. I will come again.

We have stayed at this wonderful home on two different occasions and found both times to be absolutely perfect. We found the house to be quite roomy. The beach access is close and the area around the house is great for an evening walk. The yard was great for our little four legged friends to play in. We had a wonderful time cooking most meals in the well equiped kitchen. we look forward to renting this home again and again. What a great vacation home to rent.

Our family (grandparents, two adults and 3 children aged 6 and under) had a wonderful extended weekend at this cottage in August. Sleeping accommodations were very comfortable, and the kitchen was superbly equipped with everything one would need to settle in and enjoy. The access to the beach was a short walk, and the beach was uncrowded even on a beautiful Saturday in summer. Our family will definitely return to this gem of a rental.

I stayed with my family for a relaxing weekend in this cozy beach house last winter. It's the perfect location for a private getaway in a quiet neighborhood close enough to walk to the beach and just around the corner to other activities like the casino, grocery stores, and well know restaurants. We had a total of 5 adults, including two couples and there was surprisingly plenty of room...it's a great setup! At a very reasonable rate, I highly recommend this rental!

We were thrilled with our rental house. It was clean and supplied with everything you could need. We fell in love with the home and the back yard. We spent alot of time on the back deck and had a wonderful fire in the fireplace. The atmosphere of the home was what you look for while staying on the coast. The beach access was two short blocks from the house. We stayed in August and the beach was never crowded. The neighborhood felt like you lived there. It was very close to shopping, but away from the noise of the town. We had our two children with us and the individual bedrooms were great for everyone. They liked it so much that we had a hard time getting them to leave the house. We will definitely go back to this house again for our vacation on the coast!
