Our spacious 1 BR ocean view suite in Moss Beach is a delightful coastal retreat. Nestled along the bluffs of a protected marine reserve, the apartment has a kitchenette and private entrance. Comfortably sleeps 1-4. Relax to the sound of the waves!
This newly-remodeled custom-designed house is near the ocean front cliffs overlooking Seal Cove, a small residential area inside the surrounding Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. Moss Beach is an alcove of secluded natural beauty one half hour south of San Francisco on the famous coastal Highway 1.
The rental unit is a brand new private suite with easy street parking. The unit is a spacious 800 sq ft on the ground floor facing the ocean, with its own entrance, kitchenette, and spa accent bathroom.
The suite is well-appointed with quality furnishings and motifs from Asia and Latin America. Offers a full living room, kitchenette, breakfast bar, microwave, coffeemaker, mini fridge, sink, complimentary Kangen alkalinized drinking water and breakfast sitting area. Comfy sofa and chair, futon with quality queen mattress, large flat screen internet TV, wireless, expansive and worldly library. Corner windows offer plenty of light also ocean and magnificent sunset views. The adjoining spacious bedroom has a queen bed with hotel quality linens, large closet, dresser and shelves. A rocking chair to sit and enjoy the expanded library. The en-suite private bathroom has a stall shower quality fixtures and the fluffiest of towels. Outdoor seating is on the front porch facing the ocean.
The space is ideal for a single traveler or a couple. There is an additional queen size futon in the living room which can sleep an additional 2 persons.

Seal Cove is named for the adjacent seal habitat and breeding area. A hidden gem off of world famous Highway 1, the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Footsteps from the front door take you to the coastal trail through the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. Explore the tidal pools, hike along the bluffs and relax at the beach. Or enjoy the pathways through the cyprus forest. The trails are so beautiful they are incoporated into the new Half Moon Bay International Marathon held each September. The acclaimed Moss Beach Distillery oceanfront bar and restaurant is a stone’s throw away (an easy 3 minute walk) for a beverage, dinner or sunset viewing.
Activities nearby include beach-combing, hiking, biking, surfing, kayaking, stand up paddling, golfing, sailing, wind surfing, salmon and deep sea fishing and boat tours, horse riding tours and whale watching. The Fitzgerald Marine Reserve is famous for its tidal pool nature walks and seal nurseries. Runners, walkers and trail bikers will enjoy the trails along the cliffs. The Coastal Trail passes by the house and continues 14 miles to the south along the ocean to Ritz-Carlton. Visit quaint Half Moon Bay 6 miles south known for its gift shops, antiquing, nurseries and flower shops, restaurants and live entertainment. In adjacent Princeton Harbor multiple options abound for arranging fishing, kayaking, paddling and whale watching expeditions. Farmer’s Markets are on Saturday mornings in Half Moon Bay and Sundays in Princeton. The trail head for Montara Mountain hiking is 5 minutes by car, and climbing to the top affords beautiful views of the entire Bay Area from the Golden Gate to Berkeley.
There are many fantastic restaurants in the area---we will give you our skinny on the best, the cheapest and the most appropriate for any occasion. Plus recommendations on the local wineries and other goings on!
For SFO and Berkeley adventures drive 20 min to the Colma or Daly City BART stations, where you can leave the car. For off the beaten trail winery adventures, Highway 35 winds through several dozen wineries in the nearby Santa Cruz mountains.
The Coastside does not have convenient public transportation and a car is ideal for getting around the coast and connecting to other parts of the Bay Area. This is part of what keeps our Coastside relatively undeveloped and natural. There is a BART from Colma or Daly City which will take you to San Francisco and the east Bay (Berkeley and Oakland). There is also a local taxi service. Buses do connect within walking distance but are infrequent. Other Things to Note Bicycles are wonderful to enjoy the coastal trail. We have one to lend you, (security deposit only) and certainly bring your own if you are local.
