This family-owned property lies in the heart of Wisconsin's lake and farm country. The 5-bedroom 2- bathroom Farmhouse sits atop a hill that overlooks spacious Okauchee Lake frontage which offers swimming, boating, and fishing. The lake spans 1187 acres - home to Muskie, Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, and Panfish.
The Farmhouse, built in the 1920's, is furnished with everything from a full kitchen to linens. The Farm House could accomodate 8 people comfortably. Biking, hiking, and golf are within minutes of the property. There is also an 11-person pontoon boat available to rent on the property. Two piers, a small sandbox and a cozy picnic area are available for guests down at the lake.
Okauchee Lake is seven minutes from downtown Oconomowoc, an area which was first settled in the 1800's by fur trappers and traders. Once the mansions were built, it became "The Newport of the Midwest" and meeting place for the wealthy. The area now offers pleasant strolls past shops, old Victorian mansions, parks and lakes, as well as estate and rummage sales.
Fine and casual dining abounds. You can eat at the only fieldstone train Depot Restaurant in the Midwest, enjoy lakeside dining at Spinnaker's, order a home-made pizza from Pepino's or decide to take a pontoon boat ride to fine dining at the Golden Mast Restaurant on Okauchee Lake.
