Why the Owner Chose Sturgeon Bay

The location is perfect--on the shore just south of the Carlsville Road on Bay Shore Drive (also called County B). It is 8 miles north of Sturgeon Bay,a community of 8,000 people, with all the stores and tourist features imaginable. The city is home to shipbuilding and yacht building industries. The Maritime Museum is second to none, yacht harbor is the best in the county. Yachts and boats can be rented. Many boat tours are available also. Sturgeon Bay has a wonderful historical museum and many art galleries. The location of the cottage couldn't be better--a really quiet place, just a few miles from lots of activity. Fish Creek is a short drive north in another direction where the hustle and bustle of tourist traffic is ever present.

The Unique Benefits at this House

The Panorama guest house deck is everyone's favorite spot. Part of it is shaded and part is sunny. The comfortable deck furniture is a great place to read a book or get a suntan. The deck is built overlooking the water, so a person can have a sweeping view of the bay up, down, and across the water to both Michigan and Wisconsin shores. It is is always comfortable--air conditioned for summer's hot days, centrally heated for Spring and Fall. Cards, checkers, puzzles, dominoes etc. are there for rainy days. Current novels, Door County history books are on the bookshelf. Maps, tourist literature, movies and CD's are in the living room. There are also a few outdoor games for the spacious lawn outside.

Owner's Map of Sturgeon Bay

My husband and I bought our Door County property many years ago, because the approach to the water and the view were perfect. We've been vacationing at our house and renting the adjacent guest house for many years, enjoying every minute.
