From Guestbook: What a great spot to enjoy our 45th wedding anniversary! We found this cottage on the internet. Surprised we were! Surprised at the way in which the cottage was so excellently stocked with everything one needs. Surprised at the wonderful views during both daytime and nighttime. All in all it was a delightful surprise which we enjoyed immensely.

What a great vacation! From the moment we arrived at Highview cottage and saw our fantastic accommodations and wonderful views that exceeded our expectations we knoew we would have a great vacation. This place is truly an oasis on the prettiest island in Canada! What could be a better way to start the day than waking from a restful sleep, coming upstairs and looking out at that sunny view of the river. Mornings were spent reading on the deck with a cup of coffee or enjoying a canoe or kayak ride. J & J & family

Thank you for another wonderful stay at Highview. We find it harder to leave each year. Once again we basked in the sun, scenery, excellent accommodations and are returning home with many “magic moment” memories.

From Guestbook:This concludes our second annual visit to Highview and we cherished every hour – again. We have visited the Island for 17 years – often twice in a summer. When “our” cottage nearby ceased being rented we found HIghview. We thought we couldn’t replace “our place” but now we have. This is a terrific setting – so well appointed – so well equipped – comfortable and tasteful. We are very happy here and will seek to come back. Thank you so much. W. family

From Guestbook:We arrived from Alberta needing a rest and peace and quiet. We loved cottage immediately – every window has a woodland view, especially the view from the deck. Our adult children would start and end each day with a swim in the warm river. The canoe rides were romantic. Our favourite and best used area was the long kitchen table. We had wonderful meals with our family. The well equipped kitchen provided everything we needed for our steamed mussels, our lobster boils, our haddock, scallops and mackerel. Thank you for thoughtfully supplying all the little touches that made Highview Cottage feel like a home. This will always be a special memory for all of us. Hopefully we’ll get a chance to come again. P & G

We had a wonderful & relaxing stay in your lovely home. Our great dane loved surveying the place from the top deck! So nice to be able to just relax! Most days we didn’t get out of the house until noon. What a luxury! K & M

From Guestbook: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this gem of a cottage, nestled in the rolling hills of PEI with a great view. The setting is extremely peaceful and private, and the cottage is well appointed and very charming. Babette, our little dog, enjoyed playing in the grassy front yard and exploring the "wilder side"near the river. The hummingbirds put on a great show at the feeder.

From Guestbook: We leave Highview Cottage with fantastic memories. Secluded & silent, it proved to be the perfect escape from the city. Hours spent with young ones exploring bugs, sea creatures, Bessy the cow & fabulous beaches. We really enjoyed Cabot beach for the sand & sparce crowd. We'll miss the peace and quiet and slow pace we seemed to fall into with ease. The cottage had all we needed and is so nicely decorated. Great sleeps!

From Guestbook: I drove through this peaceful countryside, dined in its calm restaurants, prepared many meals with my friends and loved ones, sucked down many many oysters, frequented museums, windmills, lighthouses, ate local mussels and potatoes, relaxed on the veranda, lost many scrabble games, read and slept. I could not have been part of a better vacation. Thank you highview cottage for the relaxation, quiet and air. Now with my head back on straight and my perspective properly placed I sadly cross this door one last time to my work, the grind and the New Jersey turnpike, and yes, Paris Hilton.

From Guestbook: Our first comment thus far is WOW!!! The beautiful photos on the website do not do this place justice. Our sleeps were divine - the view, decor, setting - all spectacular! We are here with the Editor of Canadian Living magazine, so we were very glad that she's in love with the place! We explored the island by car, kayaked alot! Spent some time in Charlottetown and enjoyed alot of seafood. Both sets of our guests truly enjoyed the relaxing environment of your cottage.

From Guestbook: What a joy to have spent a week in this glorious peaceful cabin amidst the trees! My husband and I needed an escape from the craziness of Boston and this place certainly does the trick. We truly enjoyed the beauty of PEI, but we found that we didn't have to stray far from this place, with its full bookshelf, complete kitchen, canoe, and fantastic decks to appreciate the Island. We have rented cottages before (Nantucket, St. Thomas, Edinburgh) and yet non have come close in comparison to yours when it comes down to personal touches. The hammock, the trees growing through the deck, the creative repurposed furniture, fully stocked kitchen and attention to extra comfy blankets and pillows really went a long way as far as making us feel welcome. Thank you so much for allowing us to appreciate your lovely home!

From Guestbook: Glorious autumn weather enhanced a truly perfect holiday filed with adventure and exploration as we thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to this exquisite, charming island. Your excellent website prepared us for exceptional accommodations at 108 Dunning Lane, however, the actual comfort of Highview Cottage, inside and outside, far surpassed our expectations. A treat to behold! Enjoyed the Highview red sand waterfront and curious critters and creatures that stopped by to inspect - foxes (3), eagles, rabbits and a host of many interesting and varied birds. If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place to go. Nestled away among the trees, you will have quiet, a lovely view of the French river, and a central location from which to venture out to other parts of the island. The cottage is charming and the owners clearly care about the property-- personal touches are everywhere. For those who like to cook, there is a fully stocked (utensils/appliances) kitchen. We highly recommend this place.
