Casa del Mar is a five year old Spanish style house right on the white sandy beach of Santa Teresa. It features a large front veranda, perfect for sitting and enjoying the cooling sea breezes while watching the powerful Pacific waves break against the reef just offshore or watching the sunsets. It's located on a small cove inbetween the best two surfing beaches in Santa Teresa and is a short walking distance to either one.
There are two bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. Both bedrooms have a double bed and a large window seat suitable for sleeping children or afternoon naps. Both bedrooms have a large window facing the ocean so you can sit up in bed and check out the surf. Each bedroom has its own air conditioner.
At low tide there are many relaxing tidal pools right in front of the house and one even large enough for swimming. At high tide the waves come right up the sandy beach.
The house is designed to take advantage of the natural cooling of the sea breezes with large windows and high ceilings, but also offers the security of Spanish style iron work on the windows.
A security guard is provided from 6 PM to 6 AM. There is also an on-site caretaker who can help arrange for taxi or car rental and/or tours. Every 4th day, the house is cleaned and towels and sheets are changed. Personal laundry is available for a reasonable charge.
This house has the best upclose view of the ocean in Santa Teresa. If you want to fall asleep to the lullaby of the breaking surf, this is the house for you.

The house itself was really lovely. I especially like the Master Bath, the nice strong AC, and being a surfer the outdoor shower is really nice, too. Nothing like a cool shower after the hot walk back from the surf. Thank you soooo much; it was soooo lovely. I have been home 2 days and I miss Mal Pais and CR already. I'd be happy to condense this down for VRBO. The house is truly a slice of heaven; situated easy walking distance from the two main surf breaks, numerous restaurants and a market.
