Our vacation home lies on a beautiful and unspoiled stretch of secluded sandy shoreline 20 miles south of Zihuatanejo. If getting away from the crowds and high-rise hotels is your idea of a real vacation, search no further. Feast your eyes on a newly constructed beachfront Vacation Rental.

The upstairs houses the master bedroom with a king size bed, a front balcony, a rear balcony and a full bath with shower. The guest bedroom has two single beds and a full bath with shower. The second guest bedroom has two single beds (trundle)and a full bath with shower. All villa bedrooms face the magnificent pool and over 60,000 sq. ft. of well-manicured lawns & tropical gardens. Downstairs features a living and dining room with a palapa covered terrace overlooking the extravagant scenery.

The Villa accommodations combine all the modern day amenities with the contact of nature through its nearby lagoons, mountains, and coconut plantations as well, of course, with the sea. This vacation rental takes you away from the mainstream tourism and gives you a chance to enjoy the real Mexico. What's more, this still secret vacation villa is only 15 minutes from Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa International Airport and a $25.00 cab fare into downtown Zihuatanejo.

The controlled access community shares the 'vanishing' pool, with only a short span of grass and white sand separating you from the gentle lapping of the waves of the deep blue Pacific Ocean. If you're looking for Mexican authenticity, the sort found in a small fishing village with paradaisical sands, simply take a stroll to the end of Playa Blanca to Barra de Potosi. If you love and respect nature, you will love La Barra. If it is tranquility and a place away from the crowds that you seek, you will love La Barra. If it is a stretch of clean and isolated beach interrupted only by its wildlife, you will love La Barra. If you want a Gin Fizz, fancy shops, and the like, it will not be for you.

What you can find here are countless "enramadas" (palm thatched covered restaurants) lining the beach and mangrove-covered lagoon where you can relax in a hammock, have a drink and enjoy fresh seafood at extremely reasonable prices. You can kayak on the bay or in the lagoon, horseback ride on the beach or explore a part of the jungle on the other side of the hill.

  • I have stayed at the property twice so far and am intending to go back there this September. The view from the property is to die for. It is quiet, beautifully appointed and the infinity pool is the best. Just a nice walk down the beach in either direction takes one to great places to eat, visit, shop and swim and there is no place like this for getting away from it all.

  • What a week at Villa Playa Blanca! There were 3 couples-we were tablemates on a Mediterranean cruise in 1998 and decided to have a reunion in Mexico. We spent the week working very hard to do absolutely nothing but enjoying ourselves. Since it was September and very hot, we splashed and floated in the lovely infinity pool day and night. We shared the cooking after going into town and shopping at the large supermarket. The palapa covered porch was a wonderful place to flop in a hammock to read a book as well as a great place to drink pitchers of margaritas! We laughed, wrote poems and reminisced. The grounds are beautifully kept. We had the whole place to ourselves.

  • This was my 6th year at Playa Blanca for Semana Santa. Every year it only gets better. The weather was the best we have had to date. Perfect warm days and cool nights. We didn't have to use the air conditioning once. My husband caught a sailfish YUM!!!! Out times at Villa #4 are always special. We can't wait to return. Thanks Mark and Joyce

    I believe there are 90,000 words in the english language (60,000 of which do not translate to Espanol) and I can't find the right ones to describe the pasr week! Dan and I have had some great vacations in the past that I refer to as "red letter" vacations. This week my friends was a Capital "RED LETTER WEEK"!

    Thank you for the wonderful place. It was such a treat. We celebrated our son getting egaged, we went scuba diving, fishing, kayaking at the barra de Potosi in the jungle, ate great food, drank many cervesas We will hopefully be back soon. Eva is such a doll.
