Lake LBJ is a constant level lake and is simply breathtaking, offering wide open skiing, tubing, and phenomenal fishing.
Marble Falls is noted for many things but one unique experience includes drag boat races during LakeFest in mid-August of each year! These Drag Boat Races are held on Lake Marble Falls. This national championship event brings in the top-rated, high-speed drag boat racers in the United States. Over 100 boats on liquid quarter mile racing speeds up to 250 mph. Fun for the whole family.
Horseshoe Bay Airport and terminal is 7 minutes from the villa and can land large, corporate jets. Horseshoe Bay is in the middle of Texas Hill country and offers the best of wineries and spectacular wildflowers and wildlife. In short, this area offers everything you could want for a wonderful Texas experience. Great golfing is available in the area. The Texas Hill Country is a must-see, and our home offers a truly special place to come to relax and play.
The large screened in porch is finished with comfortable outdoor furniture where you may watch the local wildlife.
The master bedroom has a King-sized bed with a master bath. Sliding glass doors lead to the porch. The second bedroom has a Queen bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds.

We are .5 miles from the Horseshoe Bay Resort, when you turn right at 2147 off Cardinal, there is a liquor store; Hole in One, a sports bar with sandwiches; various shopping venues; about 1.5 miles, is a Subway and convenience store with the Marina across the road; On The Rocks is next, a restaurant/bar overlooking the dam and lake; approximately .5 miles is Julie's Cochina which is a Mexican restaurant; Mia Pizza is in the same area and does delivery; the Donut Shop is next with great donuts and a breakfast menu; then the route follows along to US Hwy 281. If you turn left at 2147 from Cardinal, it is about 1.5 miles to Bayside Market and an Ace Hardware; a bit past that is the Post Office. Following that you come to Hwy 71. Turn right, go 1 m then turn right and follow that to Blue Lakes Golf Course; a challenging little 9 hole course with very friendly staff and very reasonable rates. The little creek behind the house has some fish, very fun for young children. There are two fishing poles in the garage that you are welcome to use. We do have humming birds and I have two feeders. There is a bottle of nector with a recipe on it for them if you want. The feeders need to be washed out weekly for the birds health.
If anyone has an allergy to feathers, this is not the place for you. We purchased the house furnished and every pillow is feathers, even the throw pillows. The sofa, leather chair, Queen mattress pad and King Comforter are feathers.
The description says we sleep 6 comfortably, which is true, but the sofa and porch sofa can both be used. There are additional sheets that can be used for them and plenty of blankets.

About the owner: We are South Dakotans that have escaped the last 6 winters by coming to Horseshoe Bay. We love the golf, the area and the people! We have rented with VRBO for the last 10 years and hope we have everything in our home that we believe is needed. Any suggestions from guests will be appreciated.
Why the Owner Chose Horseshoe Bay: It is a peaceful, serene setting, yet it is in the heart of HSB (approximately a mile from the Marriott). Sitting on the porch with a glass of wine after golfing 18 holes is so relaxing! SO much better than a hotel room!
The Unique Benefits at this House: Close to everything Horseshoe Bay has to offer. 2.5 miles from two small grocery stores, (one each direction), 1 mile to the Marriott (if that) and 2.5 miles to a Subway. The marina is across from the Subway where you can launch your boat, or take your children to the swimming beach.
