There is no better location if you are visiting Montreal.You are a block from the central metro station which is one block away where you can go anywhere in the city literally in minutes.
The festivals are almost on your doorstep & St.Denis street is just around the corner with it's colorful cafes,restaurants & chic boutiques.
You have the new Bixi system (rental bikes that you can rent by the hour) that the city has just installed just a few minutes from the apartment. You can go on line & check this out.
Quartier Des Spectacles where most festivals that come to Montreal are held here including the International Jazz Festival. GOOGLe indicates it takes 12 minutes by public transport & I am a medium
Google it & they indicate travel time is 11 minutes by public transport if you are travelling between 8:00 & 8:15 a.m.
Google it & it will show it takes 13 minutes with public transport to the historic city centre.
Google says it takes 14 minutes to 'The Bay & other big department centres. You can walk it in about the same time.

I am a New Zealander who fell in love with Montreal, came for Xmas 30 years ago & never left. Montreal may not be the prettiest city you will ever visit but the people are what make Montreal memorable.
My passions are yoga,gardening & photography. Both my husband & I are huge dog fans. We have a new addition to the family,Toto, (after sharing our lives for 17 years with Teddy & Max our crazy but wonderful Fox Terriers who are sadly no
longer with us)who I'm sure will charm you, as he has us.
