This is a beautiful property in a beautiful setting. We had a wonderful family snowmobiling weekend and enjoyed coming back to such a comfortable and well-appointed cabin. It is very spacious and exactly as described. The washer and dryer and dishwasher were especially luxurious compared to some of our more rustic cabin holidays. We cannot wait to book again, hopefully in the next couple weeks! A real gem in a gorgeous location. Our two small children had a blast sledding and riding their mini snowmobile and our yellow lab couldn't have been more comfy snuggled up next to the fireplace. The kitchen was well equipped and we also enjoyed watching movies before bedtime. A steal of a deal for those looking to get away from the city and crowds. Would recommend snowmobiles for entry.

Loved the Cabin, great rooms and great accomodations, The Wifi worked great which made me want to get a little work done while in the beautiful rocky mountains. Saw may deer around the cabin, and the trip to the top of the alpine is easy from the cabin. cant wait to return.

My wife and I enjoyed a few days in this cabin. It was the most relaxing vacation getaway ever. The location was excellent for us as it is positioned in between Gunnison and Montrose. We were coming from Lake City that day and the GPS told us to go through the Gunnison National Forest (as a back-road to get there). This was a perfect way to start the vacation as we enjoyed some of the best sites I have ever seen. When we got to the cabin, we were very impressed with how nice it was, and the beautiful decoration that made it feel very comfortable. Deer, rabbits, and hummingbirds greeted us in the mornings and we even enjoyed some of the fishing of the local lakes of the Arrowhead area. This is a very well kept beautiful place that no doubt in my mind we will revisit someday.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We spent 6 nights and found the cabin to be exactly as described and depicted in the listing. It was very comfy and quiet, and exactly what we were looking for - a place to relax and spend quality time with our children. We saw mule deer in the meadow outside the cabin every day, and also saw rabbits, elk, marmots, ground squirrels and chipmunks in the area. Wildflowers were in abundance everywhere. We enjoy geocaching and there are several sites within a short drive. We will definitely recommend this cabin to others!

When we arrived at the cabin it was exactly as described... very clean and comfortable and the scenery was spectacular. We had never been to the San Juan mountains before and were very impressed with how beautiful the area is! We visited the Black Canyon and drove down East Portal Rd. to the bottom. It was so much fun and a trip we'll never forget. We also drove to Crested Butte and through Keebler Pass. It was such a beautiful Fall day and the aspens were close to their prime. A drive to sparkling Lake Erwin was enjoyed that day, too. We fished the Gunnison River and enjoyed a few trout dinners. In the mornings and evenings, we were amused by the visits from the deer. One was standing close by the morning we were packing up to leave, and just watched us... Thank you for one of the most memorable vacations we've had and would sure like to visit even longer next time... of course it was hard to leave....

My husband & I have been vacationing in Colorado for several years, normally in the fall to check out the aspen and the elk. We decided to visit this year during the summer to check out the wildflowers. The location of your cabin is very central to areas we love to visit, so it seemed like a logical place to stay. We just so happened to have picked our vacation during the week of the Wildflower Festival in Crested Butte, but we wanted to avoid the crowds, so we drove to Yankee Boy Basin just outside Ouray instead. We saw a LOT of wildflowers there, and we also took a drive over to Lake City one day via the Alpine Plateau Rd., and that was just as beautiful... it was a very refreshing drive... we highly recommend it. We fell in love with your cabin and also with the community. The porch is so relaxing, we had a difficult time getting ourselves moving to start our days! The hummingbirds alone were enough entertainment for me! We stopped at City Market in Gunnison and later in the week, we stopped at the one in Montrose. We bought store prepared meals, brought them back to the cabin and enjoyed a feast every night. This was a much easier way to enjoy our meals than if we would have struggled with trying to figure out which restaurants to try out. Our last morning in your cabin was difficult... we did not want to leave. We will definitely be returning!

What an absolutely fantastic experience. The cabin is as described, however the pictures do not do this cabin justice. The setting is gorgeous, the facilities are the absolute greatest available, and the experience is one that will never be forgotten. Sitting on the porch, sipping a cup of hot coffee, watching the sun appear on the horizon, as the deer and rabbits play in the surrounding fields, is "Heaven on Earth". For anyone who loves the outdoors and the closenesss of nature, this is the place of your dreams. It comes very highly recommended, and we hope to have the opportunity to return for anothe visit to "Heaven on Earth".

Our stay at the San Juan cabin was very enjoyable. The cabin was clean and comfortable. It felt like home away from home. The cool mountain air was very enjoyable and we had the windows and doors open all day. Watching deer in the yard and waking to coyotes singing was a treat. The cabin is fairly remote but centrally located to many sights and activities. We stayed busy riding horseback, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, 4 wheeling, and sightseeing. We visited Silver City. Ouray, Lake City, Durango, Montrose, and more.

Great cabin and lovely location. The aspen were turning and deer visited the yard in the mornings and evenings. The cabin has all the comforts of home. Beautiful back roads in every direction. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch at the Arrowhead Inn. We have stayed in many rental properties and this is one of the best.

We loved the cabin and the setting. The cabin was provided exactly as described (no suprises). The place and furnishings were idea for just sitting back and relaxing - comfortable chairs and lots of windows. The location was centrally located for all the major parks and lakes. White water rafting on nearby Taylor River was fun! Did I mention the beautiful setting? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful time and the cabin was the perfect size in the perfect location. We spent every afternoon on the deck reading and hiked around two of the nearby lakes. The cabin has all the amenities we needed and we would love to come back and spend some time in the winter. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us. Paula and Gabriel

We had a great week there in June in the cabin!! Found it to be quiet, clean, well stocked and charming. Lots of wildlife. Upper elevation, so cool and crisp every morning. In a secluded area so make sure your gas tank is full when youre close to a station. We didnt visit the restaurant as it was only open to the public on Fri and Sat night. Highly recommend the Taylor Canyon area for ATVs and Whitewater rafting. The canyon was amazing. And there is horseback riding nearby. Also Blue Mea is breath taking. Cant say enough nice things. Thanks again Phil.! :)

This is a nice little cabin where you can get away from it all. It is well-furnished with what you need and close to Blue Mesa Reservoir and Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. It's also not too far to Ridgway State Park and Ouray. It's a great location if you're looking for peace and quiet.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this lovely setting. The cabin had all the comforts of home in an idyllic setting. We especially enjoyed seeing the deer right in the meadow outside the deck and in the woods as we walked. We chose the location so that we could take day trips to the many wonders of nature in the area. Highly recommended are the Black Canyon of Gunnison, boat trip on the Morrow Point reservoir, Lake City, Ouray, Mt. Crested Butte and Grand Mesa National Park, all within an easy drive from the cabin.

We had a great stay at the cabin. We had all the comforts of home in a nice, secluded area. Jan and Phil made us (along with our dog, Lucy) feel very welcomed. It was great to be so centrally located to all of our favorite off-road trails and to plan day-trips around them or to just stay around the cabin and do nothing at all!! Thanks so much for your hospitality! Butch, Lori and Lucy

Very comfortable, modern cabin, well designed and with all the comforts of home...yet tucked away and quiet. We spent much of our time sitting on the deck watching for wildlife - at sunrise and sunset. Lots of opportunity for long walks to any of the three lakes. Also well located for side trips to Montrose or Gunnison and anywhere inbetween for hikes and beautiful views. We will be back!

Beautifully decorated/furnished and extremely comfortable cabin in a great location off the beaten track. Very scenic development with an eye towards privacy and environmental preservation. Kitchen had what we needed. We had a wonderful time getting away. Watch for lots of deer and listen for the coyotes. They'll sing you to sleep. Better than the pictures! Highly recommend this rental if you're looking for relaxation and comfort away from tourist masses.

This is a wonderful cabin in a BEAUTIFUL location. It's quiet, peaceful (it took a day for the 'hum' of the city to stop ringing in my ears), and it gives you a chance to really relax (at night you can sit out back and gaze at layer upon layer of stars). You are also very close to a ton of recreational activities, so it makes it very easy to see the true beauty of SW Colorado. *The inside of this cabin is just as nice as the outside. Good stuff, highly recommended.
