Plan your family vacation now! Get a head start on summer and take advantage of our lower May and June rates, or wait until late August/September as the season draws to a close.
Versluis Cottages are located in sleepy Burdickville (home of two popular restaurants, LaBecasse and Funistrada, as well as the family favorite Laker Shakes) on the southeast shore of Big Glen Lake. This is your opportunity to experience all the Sleeping Bear/Glen Lake area has to offer from a quiet lakefront setting. Available dates and rates are listed below, and booking your reservation is quick and easy with our online rental agreement and secure deposit payment through Pay Pal.
West Cottage (right on the beach) is available May 27 - June 6; June 9-13; June 16-21; June 24-26; and August 17 - October 15.
East Cottage (dog-friendly) availability is June 2-10 and August 29 - October 15.
This exceptional property has been in our family for four generations. It's located on West Whispering Pines Lane, a quiet road along the southeast shore of Big Glen Lake. The park-like setting (100 ft wide X 350 ft deep) includes two updated well-equipped cottages (West Cottage and East Cottage), mature trees, private beach and firm, sandy lake bottom ideal for swimming.
West Cottage...
West Cottage (931 sq ft) is roughly 10 yards from the beach and features a living room with a flat screen TV, WiFi, iPod docking station, full sleeper sofa and panoramic lake views. The spacious master bedroom (1 queen bed, 1 full sleeper sofa) has windows on 3 sides. A second bedroom (2 twins) has windows on 2 sides and double doors that open to the living room. A good night's sleep is tough to avoid here! The fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower are stocked with soap and paper products. The laundry room with washer and dryer has an extra refrigerator. The lakeside deck is the perfect gathering place!
East Cottage...
Please visit the Versluis Cottages website listed below for information on the slightly smaller, pet-friendly (dogs only) East Cottage (sleeps 6) located 40 yards from the beach...same amenities as West except washer/dryer.
A canoe and rowboat (including flotation vests) are provided at no additional charge, as well as a dock and 2 moorings for larger boats. Bring your own boat or rent one locally ... they'll even deliver!
Each cottage has roughly 50 feet of beachfront with the dock extending midway into the clear, shallow water. The distance between them is 100 feet with trees strategically providing a natural screen for privacy. There is an abundance of lawn area, as well, for outdoor activities. We provide picnic tables, outdoor chairs, and barbecue grills for each cottage. There's a 2-person lawn swing at the beach for watching the sun set behind the Sleeping Bear Dunes, plus a fire pit for toasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories! This is a place where our guests can truly relax. Come spend a week with us!

We had a great trip and sincerely appreciated the condition of the cabin and the “extras” you include for guests; row boat, canoe, dvd player, firewood, etc... That’s so nice of you! The cabin is very well kept, clean and so quaint and cozy.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had another glorious vacation this year at the cottage. Thankfully, much warmer, one night of rain but "tough" fishing even with the early may fly hatch.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We loved that you had all the items you need for a nice stay at the cabin, right down to the little details of having games and toys at the cabin along with a TV and even a fire pit at the beach. Those little details make a difference!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
