This exceptional property has been in our family for four generations. It's located on West Whispering Pines Lane, a quiet road along the southeast shore of Big Glen Lake. The park-like setting includes two updated well-equipped cottages, mature trees, 100ft. private beach and firm, sandy lake bottom ideal for swimming.
Our pet-friendly Guest (Back) Cottage features a great room with queen sleeper sofa and lake view through large picture windows. The complete kitchen is ready for all your cooking needs, including cleaning supplies, kitchen towels and paper towels. A master bedroom with queen bed and second bedroom with 2 twin beds face the shaded backyard. The bathroom with shower is stocked with toilet paper, hand soap, bath soap and a hair dryer. Cedar paneling throughout and many windows keep the cottage light and airy. From the deck, there's an unobstructed view toward the lake and beach, with roughly 40 yards of lawn to the shore. It's the perfect spot to sip your morning coffee and plan the day's activities!
The Main (Front) Cottage features a living room with a full sleeper sofa and panoramic lake views. The spacious master bedroom (1 queen bed, 1 full sleeper sofa) has windows on 3 sides. A second bedroom (2 twins) has windows on 2 sides and double doors that open to the living room. A good night's sleep is tough to avoid here! The fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower are stocked with the same staples as the guest cottage. The laundry room with washer and dryer has an extra refrigerator. A canoe and rowboat (including flotation vests) are available for use, as well as a dock and 2 moorings for larger boats. Bring your own boat or rent one locally ... they'll even deliver!
This is an ideal property for families who wish to vacation together, but also have some privacy. The Front Cottage is positioned on the left half of the lot (facing the water), and the Back Cottage is on the right half. The distance between them is approximately 100 feet with trees providing a natural screen. There is an abundance of space for outdoor activities. We provide picnic tables, beach chairs, Adirondack chairs, and barbecue grills for each cottage. There's a 2-person lawn swing at the beach for watching the sun set behind the Sleeping Bear Dunes. This is a place where our guests can truly relax. Come spend a week with us!

- Air Conditioning: No need for air conditioning at Glen Lake with plenty of fresh air coming in through the many windows on breezy days! There are 2 box fans in each cottage to provide additional air movement if necessary, and LP gas heat in the event of an occasional chilly night.
- Washer: The Main Cottage has a full-capacity washer.
- Dryer: The Main Cottage has a gas dryer. There's a wood folding drying rack in the Guest Cottage. Each cottage has an outdoor clothesline, and an ironing board and iron.
- Linens Provided: Each cottage is stocked with pillows, mattress pads, blankets, comforters, bath rugs and a few kitchen towels. GUESTS MUST PROVIDE SHEETS, PILLOW CASES, BATH TOWELS AND BEACH TOWELS.
- Covered Parking: A carport provides convenient storage for bicycles and beach toys.
- Parking for RV/Boat/Trailer: Boat trailers may be parked on the grass next to the carport.

- Queen Bed: Master bedroom in each cottage is equipped with a firm, but comfortable queen bed and 4 pillows.
- Twin/Single Bed: Second bedroom in each cottage is equipped with 2 comfortable twin beds and 4 pillows.

- Convertible Bed: Main cottage has a double sleeper sofa in the living room. Guest cottage has a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. There are blankets, a mattress pad and 2 pillows for each sofa bed.

- Refrigerator: Standard-sized refrigerators w/freezers in each cottage. Main cottage has an additional fridge in laundry room.
- Microwave: Each cottage has a microwave oven.
- Outdoor Features
- Charcoal BBQ Grill: Barbecue tools provided.
- Deck/Patio: Spacious wooden decks with bench seating and chairs facing the lake on each cottage. Front cottage deck also has a dining table. Back cottage deck is great place for a quiet nap in the sun!
- View/Location
- Beachfront: Each cottage enjoys direct access to our sandy beach. The shared dock naturally divides the 100 ft. length of shoreline into 2 separate beach areas. There are 4 beach chairs/cottage. Also, the Adirondack chairs may be used on the beach. The picnic tables can easily moved and used near the beach, too.
- Communications
- Telephone: There is a land line in each cottage for local calls only. Phone cards may be used for long distance calls. Cell phone reception is generally good near the beach, but may be spotty due to the hills surrounding the lake.

- Deck furniture, picnic tables, beach chairs, lawn swing, 100 ft.sandy beach, rowboat, canoe, dock, 2 secure moorings for large boats or jet skis, breathtaking westward views!
- Suitability
- Pet Friendly: Pets are permitted in the Guest Cottage only. Fee is $25/nt, plus a $200 damage deposit.
