  We just spent two weeks in this wonderful property and our only comment in July's guestbook was "see you next year"!!! There was everything in the unit that you would need and what can you say about how close the water was? Our daily visits by the sea turtles, the passing of the whales and the evening blowing of the conch shells at sundown are lasting memories too.... What a great bunch of people we met and fortunately there was a good organizer in the crowd so we enjoyed a pot luck and two Pupu parties... Pikake is special because of it's intimacy... no huge crowds to deal with and you don't have to walk far to get your feet wet... visits to the farmers market kept us in fresh veggies and fruit and the local fish market is worth a visit not only for bringing fish back to grill but also for their fish tacos.. Don't pass up a chance to visit The Gazebo at Napili Shores for their pancakes either.. Just sorry we didn't find this place sooner...

  We just spent 5 great days here. July was great to work with on lining up the condo for our short notice stay, as we decided to travel to Hawaii last minute. Everything was just as described in the posting. We travelled with our two kids, 12 and 11, and they had no problems with comfort sleeping on the fold out bed/couch. This is our 5th visit to West Maui in 18 years and this is the first condo we have rented where you were this close to the water--the sounds of the waves washing up on shore was incredible. There's a supermarket just down the street, as well as two places for snorkeling gear. We saw a bunch of sea turtles every day within 75 feet of the beach. We will definitely plan to stay here when we next visit Maui.

  My husband and I had an amazing time in Maui. We enjoyed the proximity to many things and walking every morning. My husband enjoyed snorkeling--thanks for the equipment! We enjoyed breakfast in the morning on the lanai listening to the ocean and watching whales and the sea turtles. We did get to watch several sunsets on the lanai which were completely beautiful!! The property was as described and was clean. We took the recommendation to eat at the Gazebo--the pancakes were amazing. Thanks for a sharing a beautiful property. We really enjoyed our stay!!

  We really enjoyed staying at this condo. The people were friendly, and the pictures were very accurate. We watched sea turtles right at the edge of the beach, from our lanai. The ocean was literally steps from our front door, and it was great to hear the waves coming in all night long (I'm missing them now!). July was helpful in all ways, and got back to us quickly when we had questions. We enjoyed the nightly conch shell ceremony at sunset, too. We didn't even miss not having a pool, since the ocean was RIGHT there in front of us! I highly recommend staying here, and will try to book it again if I ever get to go back to Maui!

  My family and I just came back from a wonderful stay at this wonderful property right on the beach situated in a great location in Honokawai. The unit is part of a small building that has everything you need but most importantly it has peace and quiet right on a beautiful beachfront property. Our family including our little one enjoyed each and every west Maui sunset that you are guaranteed from this location. Each morning was spent enjoying a cup of fresh cup of coffee and the splendid view - there is a great coffee shop serving only 100% Kona a stones throw from the property. Our little one very much enjoyed the adjacent larger Honokawai beach park that offered a larger protected tide pool buffered from the ocean by coral full of beautiful fish. You don't even need snorkel gear to enjoy this! As for the condo unit, it was very clean and the kitchen was newly renovated. We were the first to enjoy it. It's great having a large fridge and range to prepare some meals to offset some of the costs of vacationing and there's no need to wait in lines to get sunset seating! Our king size bed was very comfortable and the bedroom was always the coolest room in the home with a large ceiling fan keeping us quite comfortable all night. My family and I highly recommend this unit. It is a very well maintained property in an ideal location in West Maui. The owner, July, was very easy to work with making the transaction details painless, and the price was right. Be forewarned, you will not want to leave!

  We LOVED our stay at this quiet, clean, comfortable condo right on the beach. The pictures and identifying details were accurate in the listing description and hardly do justice to what is truly a little piece of paradise! The owner was extremely helpful in answering questions and providing advice and suggestions for activities, restaurants and shopping. We loved the pizza at Pizza Paradiso, just a short walk away. We also enjoyed snorkeling with the sea turtles and abundant acquatic life just steps from our condo door. We would definitely recommend this unit to friends and family.

  My husband and I were at the residence in April 07–15, 2012. Condo is clean and has the items needed for your stay. The fact that we literally swan with the sea turtles was amazing. All the neighbours in the condo are wonderful and made us feel welcomed. Great farmers market close by. Perfect location for an active couple. We cannot wait to return. The Owner did not respond to our request to stay a few additional hours which was disappointing. Upgrades are needed in the kitchen and bathroom, (the shower door kept falling off and hitting me in the foot). After you watch the sunset you forget about the upgrades very quickly and are amazed you are staying somewhere beautiful.

  Our trip to Maui was perfect. This condo was an accurate reflection of the photos. We were there for 11 days in mid January. Whales, turtles, dolphins, friendly people, great weather, fantastic location, pounding waves 24/7, beautiful starry nights, etc. We spent the mornings and early afternoons touring the island. Late afternoons and evenings were spent on the beach collecting shells, reading with our feet in the ocean and waiting for the sunset so we could join the conch shell line and do our best at blowing through the shell.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  The location of this condo is awesome and literally just few feet away from the ocean. We spent every evening on the lanai looking at the ocean and enjoying the breathtaking sunset. We were lucky to see sea turtles also. The condo was kept in perfect condition and we had a very comfortable stay. My daughter had a great time and she always wanted to play in the beach infront of the condo. The neighbors were also very nice and friendly. Overall we had an excellent stay there and hopfully will be back there again.

  I cannot imagine a better stay than the one we had at The Pikake! This property was right on the ocean in a great spot. We had a hard time adjusting back to falling asleep without the sounds of the sea right outside the door. :) My husband and I came here with our 9-month old son and had the most amazing stay. The apartment is conveniently located within walking distance to shops and an outstanding farmer's market. A short drive will get you to the charming town of Lahaina where you can swim, surf, eat, drink, shop, etc! We loved Maui and this location. We will hope to be back soon!

  What a find! The Pikake is the perfect location for us! We love the beautiful ocean view, Maui sunsets, proximity to everything, and peacefulness! Each morning we enjoyed breakfast on the lanai and each evening enjoyed a lovely dinner at one of the many fine restaurants in the area. The Pikake is so comfortable that it feels like home! We definitely plan to return!

  What a wonderful place to stay! It's my last night here and I'm sitting on the lanai listening to the ocean. It's truely remarkable. The view is out of this world, the neighbors are wonderful. We met most of the other people staying here and we were the only first timers at the Pikake! Most of them have been staying here every year for years!! It could not have been a better vacation spot! Thank you July!

  As we arrived and stepped into the unit the first view was the sun setting over the ocean - the view was fitting for our stay - simply stunning The pictures do not do this unit justice, it really is 5 steps from the sea, it's wonderfully quiet, the unit clean and has everything you want, This was a surpise trip for my wife to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and I could not have found a better place - the owners were really helpful so book this unit with 100% confidence as you will not be dissappointed

  The Pikake unit is great! It's in a great location, close to some shopping, groceries and markets and you can't stay much closer to the ocean. We really enjoyed staying in July and Charlie's condo.

  My wife and I stayed at the Pikake unit during the canoe paddling races last summer (2005). The location was excellent and the unit was well-kept and managed. This was our first experience with long-distance renting and we had no problems at all. Thanks and see you again in 4 years when the State canoe paddling races come to Maui (or sooner if we come to visit). Aloha. . .Mike & Laurie

  To put it very simply, this place is absolutely perfect. It is just north of Kannapali beach, which is an ideal part of the island. The price is very reasonable; we had a better deal than everyone we talked to there. The furnishings within the condo were very comfortable. Best of all the beach is right there. We snorkeled with a sea turtle right off the shore for almost an hour. The sunsets are beautiful. I'm convinced that you cannot find a better place or a better price anywhere on the island.

  What a perfect and beautiful 1st anniversay my husband and I had! We were greeted with beautiful, delivered bouquet of tropical flowers. The neighbors do resect your privacy but also make you feel very welcome. The condo was equipped with anything you would need to make the perfect dinner, snack, drinks, etc! I am definitely referring friends and family, and would love to visit again. All the nights we were "home" were spent on the lanai watching the sunset, it was very romantic and cozy.

  My husband and I had such a lovely time at the Pikake. Breakfast on the lanai with whales breeching in the distance was a favorite pastime. The Pikake is clean, quiet, comfortable and close to everything. The neighbors are friendly but respect your privacy. The back door is literally twenty steps from the warm, clear Hawaiian ocean. Paradise!

  Aloha, I have been a guest of July & Charlie's Condo Unit A-3 on several occassions and will return again. Absolutely a beautiful peaceful ocean front location with a beach that remains year round. A very nicely furnished Unit that I call my home away from home. 28 years of visiting Maui will always bring me back the The Pikake.

  Best Vacation! Just like living in the comfort of my own home but with a great view. Location is perfect, close to everything but yet private. Whales and turtles many. Excellent place to stay and experience Maui.
