The Rose Cottage is located in Oxford's historic district just one block between the Tred Avon River and Town Creek. Families with young children and couples will enjoy the peaceful area with short walks to the beach, picnics in the park, biking, browsing antique stores, enjoying the wonderful restaurants, sunset sails, boating marinas, town library, antique boat museum and the book store, Mystery Loves Company.
Movie buffs will enjoy eating at the Masthead on Pier Street, just one of the locations in town where "Failure to Launch" was recently filmed. St. Michael, with its lovely boutiques and the Maritime Museum are just minutes away with a quick trip on the Bellevue Ferry.
This inviting cottage has all the amenities of modern living that will make your get away fun and relaxing. Originally constructed in 1900, the cottage enjoyed a face lift in 1998 where the foundation, interior walls, roof, plumbing, electric, and kitchen appliances were all modernized.
The newly renovated living room sports a wood fireplace and flat screen TV. The master bedroom also has a flat screen TV along with plenty of closet space. Kids love the loft bedroom, decorated with bright colors, fish and seahorses.
Accommodations: Two bedrooms/two full baths, sleeps six using the queen sofa bed. Queen bed in master bedroom; day bed in loft bedroom converts to two twins/king-size bed.
