Great floor plan and close to an amazing beach!

Great location in town, 2 blocks from beach and walking distance to 7-11 and restaurants. The loft with twin beds worked out nicely for our two girls. Master bed very comfortable and cozy. The condo is right on La Jolla Blvd which is a very busy road, so there was street noise until around 10:00pm, then it lightened up. The owner was great to work with and made sure we had beach chairs and a nice bottle of wine on arrival – a real treat!

Great Location in the Heart of La Jolla

This property was perfect for our annual Mardi Gras trip! Our three children (11, 6, and 2) had plenty of room to play and enjoyed their sleeping arrangements in the loft. Forgot something? The 7-11 is steps away and friendly. Served as an excellent base for our excursions whale watching, balboa park, San Diego zoo, Legoland, Knott's berry farm, and sea world. Would return in a heartbeat. The owners are very helpful and easy to work with.

Pleasant and comfortably appointed, this is the perfect location for us -- short walk to both La Jolla Village center and the beautiful beach. Easy bus ride to downtown San Diego parks; short drive to UC San Diego cultural events. Owners are cordial and accommodating. Our occasional guests were quite comfortable in the upstairs sleeping area. We are planning to return for our third month-long visit next year.

What can I say, the weather was perfect, the location was walking distance to everything we needed. We slept better in these beds than we did at home. Never had landlords that were so accomadating. They wanted us to have a great experience. Seriously considering next year again.

Wonderful stay in LaJolla

Great neighborhood near a really neat beach. Short drive to downtown LaJolla--lovely seaside town with great shopping & dining. Not far to all San Diego sights. Condo was charming & more than adequate for us & our two adult kids. Our rental was last minute & Barry was just great to work with even though he was leaving town on business. Our first experience with VRBO & Barry helped make it a wonderful family memory.

My family of 4 stayed here over Labor day this year. Barry was very helpful & the home was clean, well decorated, and had everything we could possibly need. We loved the 5 minute walk to the beach and excellent restaurants (Mmmmm, Verdes El Ranchero!!). Thanks Barry, we'll definitely be returning.

Our family stayed at this vacation spot last summer. The owners were wonderful and the place is a very nicely furnished and kept condo. I unfortunately locked us out the first day we arrived and the owner was very cordial and immediately took care of my error. We really enjoyed our stay, we couldn't ask for a nicer place. We were able to bring our pet, which is always a plus. We enjoyed the beach and the Cove and the restaurants located near by.

Very Comfortable with Good Location

My family and I stayed there over Mother's Day Weekend. It was me, my daughter, my parents and my brother. The house is very nice and very close to lots of stuff. I will say that it doesn't truly sleep "5"...unless the 5th person is comfortable on the love-seat or floor. That said, it's a great house for a couple or a family with older kids (the bedrooms are on separate floors so if you had small children it might be a little worrisome). Loved that it had a garage and you will not be wanting for a homey feeling...everything is very comfortable and well stocked. The walk to the beach is super easy and through a wonderful neighborhood that will have you checking out the "For Sale" signs and dreaming of relocating. The beach itself is fantastic for walking, playing, kite flying, kids, etc., etc. In addition, the owners/rental group were so easy to work with...We scheduled at the last minute and everything went smooth as silk. All in all a fabulous trip and this little town home was definitely a good part of that!

We are still talking about our trip to La Jolla and this lovely house, it was beautiful and clean and within walking distance to a beach. The only downside was of our two week vacation we had only booked a week here and were very sad to leave to go onto our next location, our family is very much looking forward to coming back again in the future.

My family and I had a wonderful experience at this townhome. Perfect setting and location for the entire family (6 and 2 year old children). The owner made us feel right at home. Exceptionally clean and very spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped. Beds were very comfortable and there was a pack n' play for the baby. Plenty of beach toys to keep all of us busy! Great proximity to beaches, restaurants, and downtown La Jolla. We will certainly consider this on our next vacation to La Jolla!

Summer for 2010 we spent a week at Barry and Christine's townhouse in La Jolla. We were visiting family that lived in the area. The location was wonderful. Close to our family, a short walk to the beach, and a quick drive to The Cove!! Each evening after spending the day with family and exploring San Diego we would come back to our home (for a week) and take a relaxing walk to the beach. The townhouse had everything we needed. The day we arrived we went shopping for food and nothing else. Christine and Barry were very nice and made our stay wonderful. Barry talked to my husband a couple of times on the phone before arriving and I spoke with Christine the day we arrived. I would love to stay again and hope to soon. We had fun in La Jolla!!! 5 months after visiting La Jolla & family we lost our father. This trip was the last time we spent with him before his passing. We'll remember this time as very special. Mom of the bunch.

Great La Jolla Condo

Guest: DisneyGirl (Pleasanton, CA)
Date of Stay: 07/14/10 Review Submitted: 03/04/11

We stayed here in July, 2010. Very clean, cute place! Pretty easy garage parking; owners told us to pull into the large driveway and back into the garage, since the condo is on the main drag coming out of La Jolla. The place is small, but there's plenty of room for relaxing and entertaining. Nicely decorated. Plenty of books, games and DVDs for guests to use. Just a couple of minor downsides - there is no TV in the master bedroom and the upstairs bathroom walls do not go all the way to the ceiling, so you can hear everything. If you stay there with friends, make sure they are good friends, lol. Walking distance to beach. If you really like to walk, it's easy to walk to downtown La Jolla. Unit was well-represented by owner. Not too much street noise, but there is some as it is on the main drag. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others.

Owner response:We have renovated the upstairs bathroom which included changing the walls and completely closing it off from the rest of the condo. There is certainly no problem with any sounds....especially those musical kinds! We also put a third TV in the Master bedroom. We attempt to be very attentive to all or guests. This is the first we have ever heard of a problem. Our property is 1150 sq ft. with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. With the cathedral ceiling, we feel it is spacious and open for this square footage. We're so glad that this renter would "definitely stay again and would recommend it to others. Sincerely, Barry & Christine Tobias

Vacation June 2010

Guest: Iron Mike (Chicago, Illinois)
Date of Stay: 06/12/10 Review Submitted: 03/11/11

Vacation June 2010 for my two teenaged kids, wife and I was a pleasant week. Barry (the owner) was very informative on the area restaurants, shops and the house upon arrival. It is close to downtown and the beach, less than a mile. It is on a busy main street that runs through town and can be tricky pulling in and out of driveway. No yard if you want to use the small grill there or had little kids to coral. We did enjoy daily walks. All surf boards and beach towels in the garage were fair game for us. Washer and dryer were nice. Kitchen had all comforts of home and the house was tastefully decorated. Follow the house key rule so you don't get locked out like we did. (Sorry Barry) Seal beach is walkable and we used internet access for directions. We would stay there again! Note: La Jolla runs about 10 degrees cooler (in 70's) than San Diego and when we stayed it was "June gloom" or overcast, but not raining. So check weather if you want sunny beaches.

We were VERY impressed with this condo and had the most relaxing stay! Barry was a pleasure to work with and very accomodating. They thought about every single detail including new beach towels that waited for us. I stayed with my 21 month old daughter, cooked quite a bit and felt like i was in my own kitchen. High speed internet with an actual desktop computer was an added bonus as well. The location is perfect! I attended a conference downtown San Diego, and it took me about 20 minutes to get there every day. The place is 3 blocks to the beech and less than a mile away from a great public playground. Downtown La Jolla is within walking distance. I would never stay in a hotel after this place! Hope to come back again in the future!
