UPGRADES IN 2011: How Forever Feels has a new look--including new Stainless Steel kitchen appliances, new sleeper sofas and chairs, a flat-screen HDTV in the living room with BluRay player, LED HDTVs in the second Master Bedroom and Cabana Living Room, a second master suite with pillow-top King bed, two pillow-top Queen beds in the pool house bedroom, and new bedding. The third floor lounge has a beautiful leather daybed with trundle for relaxing by day and night. We are very exited to offer a more upscale look with tropical flair.
“How Forever Feels” is a fantastic beach retreat located less than a block from the beach--about a 3-4 minute walk. Relax on the deck next to your private pool or play in the white sugar sand beaches and the emerald waters of the Gulf. You can easily walk along the beach to Henderson State Park or ride your bike to it for a different perspective.
An open floor plan sets the tone for a casual vacation. Caribbean colors remind you that you are at the beach. The newly redecorated and spacious living, dining and kitchen area is the central gathering spot for your holiday. The kitchen is fully equipped with new stainless steel refrigerator with ice and water dispenser, five-burner stove, dishwasher and microwave oven. No wimpy silverware here. I like to cook and have equipped the kitchen with tri-ply pots and pans, white bistro dinnerware (and break-resistant dinnerware, too, for the kids), etc. The main floor bedroom and full bath is easily accessible with no stairs to climb, as is the laundry room with full size washer and dryer.
Enjoy the views from the private decks adjacent to upper story bedrooms. Two master suites on the second floor, both with a King bed, feature private full baths and private decks. The third floor Queen bedroom is a romantic bay-shaped retreat with windows on three sides for a breathtaking view. It also has its own deck with Gulf peek-a-views that feature waves breaking on Henderson Beach. The third floor bonus room is perfect for games and TV or a quiet retreat and has a large deck perfect for sunbathing.
The pool house can be a central gathering place or a private retreat. There is a living room with TV, DVD player, stereo with Bose outdoor speakers, a sleeper sofa and a kitchenette featuring a microwave, mini-fridge, sink and coffeemaker. A full bath and walk-in closet separate the living room from the bedroom, which has two queen beds.
The house features TVs with cable in every bedroom, the living room which has a Sony Bravia HDTV and BluRay player, the third floor lounge and the pool house. Every living area also has a DVD player as do several bedrooms. WiFi internet keeps you as connected to the outside world as you want to be. This spacious home easily accommodates multiple families and large groups or gives smaller groups plenty of privacy.

Pool House: Two Queens Bedroom, Full Bath, Living room with kitchenette and sleeper sofa. A childproof fence and gate surround the front porch.
Private Pool: In between the main house and cabana is a sparkling, kidney-shaped pool, with optional pool heat. There is also a wooden deck with a picnic table and built-in seating for a crowd. A new built in gas grill means no propane tanks.
We love the location of this beach house in the Crystal Beach neighborhood as there are so many things to do within walking distance or a short drive. We have a guide at the house to summarize the highlights and we are happy to share the places we've discovered. Among our favorites is to take a short walk to Camille’s, the local café and restaurant with Gulf views, popular with the local crowd. Then go next door to rent bikes, scooters or kayaks. Destin Commons Shopping Mall is just a few blocks away offering shopping, restaurants, a Bass Pro Shop and a multi-plex movie theatre with IMax. Further afield, the Silver Sands Outlet Mall is the nation's largest outlet shopping center and just a short drive away. The kids will love a visit to Big Kahuna’s Water Park or to The Track for miniature golf and go-karts.
There are fresh seafood markets for eating in and countless restaurants for eating out. Neighborhood shopping includes a first class wine shop and a ready to heat and eat gourmet food shop. A large Publix grocery store is very close, and just a little further is Fresh Market that features upscale and organic groceries. A short drive to Wal-mart lets you stock up in one place.
Destin is an awesome beach destination offering many attractions. We are sure that if you visit How Forever Feels once, you will want to come back again to re-live your favorite moments and to discover new delights in Destin.
Please note: The person renting the house must be 25 years old or older and must be staying in the house that is occupied by individuals younger than 25. The ratio of guests who are 25 years and older to guests younger than 25 must be at least 1:5. Maximum occupancy is 18. Smoking is not allowed. Pets are not allowed.
Weekly rentals only Sat to Sat for Spring Break, mid-May to mid-August. Three night minimum outside summer. Four night minimum for holidays with slightly higher rates. Why the Owner Chose Crystal Beach
My husband and I have been visiting Destin for several years. We fell in love with the beautiful, white sugar sand beaches and the emerald, green waters. Crystal Beach appeals to us as it is an old-fashioned beach community but near the conveniences and extras of a tourist destination. Destin has so much to offer. We can have a quiet, relaxing vacation or we can be as active as we want. We are happy to have the opportunity to share this special place with others.

My husband and I were born & raised in Iowa. We lived for many years in Southern California, then returned to Iowa and, yes, the farm. The sea kept calling to us and after visiting Destin we knew we wanted to be able to return again and again. We just sent our youngest child off to college and decided this would be the time to start sharing Destin with others.

We had a wonderful time staying at "How Forever Feels'! First time my whole family with 5 little ones got to vacation together and I feel so very thankful getting to create wonderful memories together. This was our first family vacation for our family of 5 original members since 1994. Since then, we have added several members to the family and nine of us stayed at How Forever Feels this week. We LOVED your house and we are so sad to have to go home. The house is so comfy and we all slept so well; in fact, our 11-month old started sleeping through the night while we were here:) Thank you for sharing your home with our family! I can safely say this is a trip we will never forget.
