Only one mile from SkiBeech, this round-house cabin is set on a wooded slope at 4500' elevation in the town of Beech Mountain. It's ideal for one or two families that need a little space but don't want to lose that cozy cabin feeling.
There are only four steps from the parking area to the main level, where you will find a spacious deck with gas grill on the outside, and comfortable surroundings on the inside. There are three bedrooms and three full baths, plus a great sleeping loft to provide plenty of space for up to eight people. The main level has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, two full baths, fully-equipped kitchen and dining area, and a family room with woodburning fireplace and a large TV/DVD. Overhead is a beautiful cathedral ceiling and a charming sleeping loft with full-size and twin beds.
Go downstairs to the first floor, and you'll find a third bedroom with queen bed, a third full bath, laundry room, and a large den/rec room with 32" LCD TV, Xbox/DVD (you can rent X-box games from Blockbuster in Boone), AM/FM/Cass/CD stereo, and a game table that seats six.
This home is full of amenities to make your stay comfortable and convenient, including a well-equipped kitchen with plenty of utensils, pots, pans, and dishware for those that like to cook, and lots of books, videos, and games for kids of all ages.
In the Summertime, guest privileges are available to the Beech Mountain Club, where you can enjoy a wide range of activities, including golf, swimming, tennis, a fitness center, and day-programs for the kids. Or, enjoy the abundance of hiking and biking trails. Find that perfect trout stream or take the family on an unforgettable whitewater rafting trip. Why the Owner Chose Beech Mountain
We love the cooler weather in the mountains, and since it's only 2 hours from home, we can visit often. Beech Mountain has so many things to do, nobody ever gets bored!
The Unique Benefits at this House
This small roundhouse lives large with two seperate family areas - the first is on the main level, combination den/dining/kitchen, and the second is a larger den/rec room located downstairs, giving you some "spreading out" space!
If you like to get outdoors, The Bear Rock Chalet is only a short walk to a great hiking trail (Upper Pond Creek Trail) that follows a stream down the mountain.

This is a roomy and comfortable house. There were 6 adults and 2 young children in our party and we found it quite adequate for 8 people. The house is well-furnished and has lots of extra touches to make it feel "homey". The kitchen has everything you need and more. We highly recommend it!

Our family had a truly wonderful winter vacation weekend at the Bear Rock Chalet. The cabin is very conveniently located to Ski Beech (which has an excellent ski school for children as young as 4) and all of the other amenities on the mountain. But more importantly, the cabin is very comfortable and family friendly if the weather is just too cold to go out. We played games and worked a puzzle, and everyone had a great time. I do not think there could be a nicer rental on the whole mountain.

Comment Text: What a fabulous family Beech Mountain vacation we recently had staying at Bear Rock Chalet! The views from the deck are breathtaking! It's a perfect location for a reunion or gathering and just down the road from a beautiful waterfall and some really neat hiking trails. This home lives SO big! It's truly a 3-story house. Our family downstairs, another family upstairs and all the kids in the loft gave us all so much privacy -- but also gave us space to "hang out" with each other. The kids LOVED having a space of their own. The owners keep the place in great shape and are very cooperative. Will DEFINITELY recommend this home to anyone visiting the Beech Mountain area. This place has spoiled us -- we can't wait to return!

Very much enjoyed our stay; GREAT and convenient location, very nice cabin with all the comforts. Loved a Barred Owl calling in the yard one evening, and some nice birds coming to the birdfeeder. Great working with homeowners. Thanks Mark!
