We've been coming to the islands since the early '80s staying in hotels, timeshares and condos. This condo was absolutely among all of the accomodations at the top of our list. The views were spectacular, the beach right at our doorstep and the condo itself was very nicely furnished. The management and concierge were most accomodating. Each island has its own personality and Maui is no exception. There is plenty to do on the island and, being very popular, many of the venues can get a bit busy; but this condo, in spite of being very well located to most of the activities on Kaanapali, was quiet and offered a welcome respite when we wanted it. If we return to Maui this will absolutely be our first choice to stay.

My boyfriend and I stayed in this condo for a week recently, and we loved it!! It has all the amenities of a home, it's comfortable, right on the beach to watch sunsets every night at dinner, comfortable bed, and an amazing shower. It felt like a home away from home. We highly recommend!

This was a wonderful place to spend our time in Maui. The condo is exactly as pictured and more! There were basic pantry items provided, lots of towels and just an all around comfortable place to stay. We saw whales from the balcony and the most beautiful sunsets! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!

After searching hundreds of listings, we chose Alicia & Bob's place for our 6-night Maui stay, and it was fabulous! The views of the ocean are blissful. We saw whales every day and enjoyed watching the surfers and windsurfers, too! I initially looked at condos on higher floors, but I really found this 3rd floor location ideal, as it allows you to enjoy the beach as well as the ocean - we even watched as a seal came ashore one morning! The condo itself was clean and comfortable with a great bed, nice shower and recently updated electronics. The owners were very helpful and responded promptly to our e-mails. I highly recommend this property....in fact, we hope to return for a longer stay here next year!

Aloha Alicia & bobWe came in late afternoon Weds 7/25/0. We wholeheartedly agree with the previous guests in that unit 316 is way more than promised – it is perfect. We can’t think of a single thing it lacks – we even loved the pillows.We ate at the O’hana lounge at Sunterra Weds. Because of our arrival time but discovered the Fish Market on Thursday have now grilled out dinner 3 times! We’ve had a different kind each time but our favorite is the Ono (fabulous)As land-locked Coloradoans we made a pact to eat fish every single day… so for we have.Tonight it’s luau time and tomorrow will be our last dinner here – wah!! Alicia and Bob,As Nancy and I prepare to leave, we will take with us fond memories of our week here in Maui and of your apartment. Previously, we have visited Maui on several occasions. On the last we traveled with our two daughters and my brothers family. On that trip we stayed in other units at the Mahana. This tie with each of our kids participating in separate language immersion programs, we cam e alone. What a fabulous time and place this was for us to rewind.You wonderful apartment suited us particularly well! On the way here, we stocked up at Costco that allows us to spend most of our time cutting back while we limited out need to go out to eat. Your well stocked and beautifully furnished condo helped in that regard. Also, we traveled with a laptop and sever DVD’s. Because your unit is “tech’ed up”, we enjoy both to the fullest. Finally we found your location on the 3rd floor to be ideal – far enough above the action to feel comfortable and close enough to feel a part of the beach.Thank for letting us use your unit. Alicia & Bob, This has been one of the most incredible vacations of my life! I spent the first part of m week in Wailea with Team in Training (the Leukemia Society) We did a triathlon to raise $ for treat for Leukemia patents. Your condo provides the perfect place to complete our stay (Now I know why you laughed when I asked if there were pretty beaches outside your condo). The view from here is spectacular and the sound of the waves sings you to sleep at night. We are already planning our return trip, next year. Thank you again for the wonderful place to stay. It is so great to see God’s creation. Aloha! My husband and I are at the end of our honeymoon leaving tonight to head back home (Washington State). We have both been to Maui before, each with our own families. However, this visit was very special and one we will remember for the rest of our lives. It was nice to know that we had a great room to come home to every night. Our honeymoon was filled with many activities including sport-fishing, luau, and snorkeling. On our sport fishing adventure we were fortunate to catch a 25lb ono and 10 lb mahi mahi. Our most favorite activity was eating at many fabulous restaurants. Well now its 11:00 am and time for checkout. We had a great honeymoon-vacation and we hope to come back and visit. Dear Alicia & BobWe saw all the pictures online. We watched a video of a couple (in another unit) on “U tube” . We “knew” what to expect But when we opened the sliding door, our jaws dropped at the stunning view.We came to relax. Mission accomplished! When we were out and about, the answer to the question “ what do you want to do… shall we just go back “home” to our condo? Was always “Yes”.We had our 25th Anniversary dinner at Ferraro’s in the Four Seasons at Wialea. It was a wonderful experience. The outdoor setting is the stuff of travel magazines & resort brochures. Pricey bet perfect for the occasion.We seriously considered pushing the privacy button and barricading ours selfs until extracted by the US Navy towards the end we decided to book earlier for next year.Aloha & MahaloDan & GingerLas Vegas

Aloha Bob & AliciaThis has been an absolutely wonderful week in paradise! We were married on the beach in front of the Mahana on Wednesday. Our Minister, Kimo, blew the conch and chanted the blessing in Hawaiian. It was the most profound moments I our relationship. We ware truly blessed! After the ceremony, we dined at Vino in Kapalua. The tapas were divine, especially the pork tenderloin braciole.We love the upgrades your have made since last year when we were there. Aloha Alicia & Bob, Thank you very much for the wine we enjoyed drinking it while we watched a beautiful sunset. We arrived mid January and celebrated both our birthdays in this terrific place. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. Your home is fantastic. It has been wonderful walking on the beach and enjoying the whales. Our weather has been perfect. We very much have enjoyed the pool and barbecue areas. We have met a lot of nice people while we prepared our dinner. Thanks for the new lanai furniture it is very nice and comfortable. Bob and Alicia Aloha! (Namaste!) We had a wonderful time staying in your lovely home. You made us feel so comfortable that right now we really do not want to go back to Seattle.. our home. This was our first visit to Maui & just loved every moment of it. Idea of the trip was to relax but we managed to pack the days so much (especially when you have 2 kids 11 & 12 they always need something) that I truly feel like going somewhere boring and relaxing!! Every year we save money for our India vacation since our families live there but now it will be a little harder to pick India or Hawaii! Anyway, thanks a lot for your lovely home. Only one negative thing about the condo was the bed in the living room. It is very uncomfortable and my kids really did not like sleeping there. Otherwise we enjoyed every minute. We drank our coffee on the lanai every morning and even shared our breakfast with a cardinal one morning.Our favorite place to eat was the Hula Grill. The crab-macadamia nut wontons are so good. Thank you so much for the hospitality. We have enjoyed 316 very much. There wasn’t a daylight hour that I wasn’t able to watch the whales play! We loved Kapaluea Bay for swimming and snorkeling and Black Rock. There is a parking lot between Sheraton & Kaanapali Beach Hotel available to park in for free if you get there early in the day for public access. After a very tiring plane ride with our 61/2 month old daughter, we were happy to pull up to the Mahana. When we entered, both my husband and I said “Wow” at the same time when we saw the view. We’ve stayed at several different condos nearby in the past and nothing compares to this one! We’ve really enjoyed looking ou the window to see whales out in the distance and surfers, snorklers, kids playing in the shallow surf. I enjoyed early morning walks on the beach and the gorgeous sunsets in the evenings. We were lucky – sun every day and not much humidity. We love snorkeling at Kapaluah bay and I saw a sear turtle there swimming right underneath me. I also saw 2 different eels come out of their holes and swim around freely. This has been a very crowded island this week between Christmas and New Year’s. Too many people everywhere! It took 3 different attempts to eat at Cheeseburger in Paradise without about an hour wait. (808661-4855 in case anyone needs the #) Maui Ocean Center was great as always. We were disappointed in Okazuya & Elsi this trip (usually very good) Looking for to staying here again. 11/13-25, 2005Alicia & BobAloha, we just love your most beautiful beach home. I guess when we get off the plane we made the rain gods mad. Ha. We were surprised to have 2 rain storms. But a little rain didn’t slow down us Californians! We used the lanai every nite. Just beautiful. Enjoyed your pots and pas etc. Tried all kinds of restaurants our favorite was Roy’s. We are going to Kimos for Thanksgiving.Larry enjoyed visiting with the other dad’s that were BBQing. Jokes everywhere. Leslie downstairs was very helpful with reservations etc. The Kapalua brunch was very elegant and delicious. So, you can see we had a very busy 12 days on our favorite Maui. Bob & Alicia –First we must say “thank you” for opening up your home to us. There is a warm, welcoming presents here I have not felt in other places. This is my daughter & second visit to Mahana in the past year and it did not disappoint (our first in #316) Having spent 4 days in Kipahulu I was worried it might take some to relax again amongst the “busy” west side. But alas! Five minute of watching the ocean from the lanai quickly set my worries aside.Ty & I thought maybe Mahana was another meaning _ Rainbow. There seems to be one nearly all the time. We saw a pod of 50+ dolphin not far off shore the day we arrived. Got some great pictures of them jumping into the air.We finally rented snorkel gear and checked out the reef between here and black rock. Saw lots of beautiful fish and moray eels.Our last stay at the Mahana was two doors down. This vacation ended much too quickly. We enjoyed the comforts of your condo #316. We loved waking up every morning to the incredible view. We visited a few of the bigger hotels and found we enjoyed the quiet and friendly atmosphere of the Mahana the best! WE agree with most the food suggestions from other guests. Kimos was great., also be sure to try Hula Grill. If you want to truly experience paradise go to Mama’s Fish House . This was our first trip to Maui, but definitely not our last;. We had such a great honeymoon at this condo.Fabulous view, clean, comfortable and relaxing.Come great restaurants:Kimos – Lahaina, Stella Blues for a bfast in Kihei, Ruth’s chris steak house $$ but good!! Bubba gumps was also good, oh! And Mango grill had a fantastic breakfast (mac panacakes, locomolos)Shows/Activities: Old Lahaina Luau – fantastic,Warren & Annabelle’s magic show – really gun and amazing, golf at the municipal course (great view)We went on the time share presentation (90 min in Am) at the embassy for free diner cruise tickets. Food on boat was ok & we had a good time being on the water. Just say NO at the presentation.I wish you all a great time on Maui! Dear Bob & AliciaWow! We love your condo. All the furnishings & decorations. Very, very nice.Were definitely recommend “316” to all our friends & family. And I hope we can return sometime in the future.The wasn’t our firs visit/stay at the Mahana. We cant get the image of the ocean out of our heads fro at least a moth after we return to Napa.The sounds of the ocean at bedtime! Its heaven here.One suggestion – we need Kitchen shears.
