It is a ground floor, corner unit sitting on a bluff overlooking the magnificent Pacific Ocean. In the winter be mesmerized by 15 to 25 foot waves. Whales cavorting in the ocean and albatrosses gliding pass your windows. In the summer, enjoy snorkeling below the condominium. Watch the porpoises (dolphins) playing in the ocean and the turtles cavorting in the waves. Many times you will find a monk seal resting on the lava below the condo. We fell in love with this condo and the beautiful "garden Island" of Kauai. Certainly, the beauty, comfort, and locale of this unit is modestly understated. We lacked for nothing. In fact, I hesitate to be completely up front about how wonderful it is for fear we'll not be able to get a booking again! The owner was attentive & considerate without being intrusive. She is such a gem! I recommend this property without reservation whatsover. As for things to do, we recommend a helicopter island tour with the original company Jack Harter on a Hughes copter WITHOUT doors -exciting! Ask for the pilot Ben Silver, who knows all the history, geography, biology of the island. He was great. We also recommend taking a boat trip to the Napali Coast and attending Smith's Luau, which had great Imu roasted pig and a fantastic garden tour & show we'll always remember! The grilled MahiMahi fish at Postcards Restaurant was fantastic! Princeville Adventures is well run and very safety conscious - we did zip-lining with them and had a great time. They also have horseback riding, kayaking, etc. and they are very close to the condo. We literally just got home today and are already planning our return trip! Go for it - you'll be very happy you did!

Well, you never know what you are going to get from an on-line description and photographs and thist excelled all expectations. The view from every room was to die for and the abundance of windows,it being on a corner plot, meant that the apartment was always light and airy. Evelyn was easy to work with and very patient and understanding with the difficulties of moving in different currencies and between continents.S\he and Lex were friendly and generous. The accommodation lacked nothing(even a house-trained gecko)and we were so happy and comfortable during our stay. The room proportions are very generous so we did not feel cramped but comfortable in spacious surroundings We made a wise choice and have no hesitation in recommending this vacation rental to others,it is no surprise to learn that Evelyn has many"return"guests. Thank you so much for making what was already an enjoyable vacation into one that was special..

We have had 2 extended stays at Slice of Paraidse and have plans for future visits. Words cannot describe the beauty of this condo. Every room has views of the ocean. The sounds of the crashing waves lull you to sleep every night. In addition to the ocean, there are whales, dolphins and albatross all entertaining us on a regular basis. The condo is clean, well equipped and maintained. Any requests we have had for the owner have been met in a very rapid and timely manner. The owner treats you like a member of her family and you feel like a treasurered guest in her home. We would highly recommend Slice of Paradise to anyone who is looking for relaxing fun time on the beautiful island of Kauai. Within walking distance there is a 27 hole golf course, shopping center, restaurants and library. Less than five minutes by car is beautiful Hanalei Bay to the west and Anini beach to the east. Both are tropical beaches, beautiful and safe for sswimmng and relaxing. In Hanalei there are numerous restaurants and shops.

I travel to Kauai nearly every year. I've stayed on the north, east, south and west sides and have found no place that even compares to this unit at Alii Kai. In my opinion, it is the best value, best view and best location on the island. It is always super clean and welcomng when I first walk in the door. Often there is a freshly baked loaf of fruit bread or a basket of home grown avocados waiting when I get there. There are ocean views from every window and it is so quiet you will think no one else is within miles. It is high on the edge of a bluff so you can sit on the lanai and watch an albatross soar by or watch whales in season. You can see for miles. There are many nice eating places in an easy distance or you can cook in with the fully equipped kitchen. The most beautiful beaches on the island are minutes away. The closets are stocked with things you might want to use such as beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment etc. There is a nice little library of books to choose from. No amenity has been forgotten. I would recommend this unit to anyone, young or old. The beds are very comfortable. It you give it a try, you'll go back time and time again.
