Enjoy the beautiful North Shore of Kauai at our lovely Alii Kai I Condominium.
It is a ground floor, corner unit sitting on a bluff overlooking the magnificent Pacific Ocean. In the winter be mesmerized by 15 to 25 foot waves. Whales cavorting in the ocean and albatrosses gliding pass your windows. In the summer, enjoy snorkeling below the condominium. Watch the porpoises (dolphins) playing in the ocean and the turtles cavorting in the waves. Many times you will find a monk seal resting on the lava below the condo. There is a short trail which will take you down to the ocean.
We have internet and WiFi for your convenience. We also have a varied library with many Hawaiiana books for your enjoyment plus games, puzzles, and all the beach equipment you might need. A backpack is ready to go for a hike.
This is a peaceful, quiet Hawaiian-style condominium with the rooms looking out onto the ocean and the cool tradewinds wafting through the unit. The sunrises can be spectacular. A wonderful way to relax! While dining at the table, you can watch for the Tropic Birds that are looking for their meal out in the ocean.

The best location with magical views from every window and two lanais. Immaculate and spacious with binoculars, books, beach supplies, coolers Etc, all conveniently provided. Very comfy king bed in the master and every Item you would need in the fully equipped kitchen, We enjoyed Anini beach 5 minutes to the south. Hanalei just 15 minutes away and for convenience a great little shopping plaza right in Princeville, A wonderful jumping off point to explore the whole island of Kauai,, be as busy or relaxed as you want to be! Hike on the Kalalau Trail ( start by 7 or 8 ) visit the Waimea Canyon, swim or snorkel at several beaches close by, drink smart cocktails on the patio of the St. Regis Princeville, shop at a friendly farmers" market, load up on papayas and avacados, relax and rejuvenate here. Evelyn was a pleasure to deal with. We hope to return and have already highly recommended this outstanding slice of paradise to our friends, A perfect 10!Recommended for: People with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

The others that have reviewed this condo were spot on! This is a really nice place to stay. I'm hesitant to review it, because this would be a great place to keep a secret for ourselves! Trade winds blowing through, GREAT views to the Pacific, easy access to beaches, and anything else you want to do on the north shore. It's clean and comfortable. All you need is in the condo. We like to cook, so having everything there was terrific. In the morning we would have our coffee on the lanai and watch the sunrise...it was just gorgeous! I just wished we could have stayed longer...NEXT TIME! Every window you look out, you can see the ocean...LOVED going to sleep at night listening to the surf! I wasn't sure if I was going to like a ground floor unit...but there was no impediment to the view at all! Evelyn is GREAT to work with! Very prompt in her replies. I have absolutely no qualms recommending this unit for someone to stay in. You won't be disappointed!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

My wife and I spent 16 days on Kauai and this was far and away the best place we stayed! Our only regret is that we couldn't stay here longer than 4 nights (we had some free lodging we had to take advantage of). The pictures are very accurate, but they don't quite capture the STUNNING views, comfortable and spacious accommodations, peaceful setting, and exceptional cleanliness. The owner was an absolute delight to work with and arrival/departure was easier than any hotel I've stayed in - the bananas were delicious and a very nice customer service touch. The condo is very well equipped and the owners supply about everything you'd need to enjoy the area. This condo is very private and has amazing views looking down at the ocean, you can see the sunset from your patio, and if you have food - there is no reason to ever leave. During the summer months, the trail takes you down to a great little cave, wonderful snorkeling, and lots of turtles! It is very very close to sea lodge beach and hideways beach, our favorite two on the entire island! We loved the location and ease of being in Princeville, super close to Hanalei Bay and also very easy to drive back to the East/South side of the Kauai. I really think this is the absolute best deal on the island and to beat this view, you'd have to pay triple the price at least. I wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return one day!! It was very roomy for a couple and there is PLENTY OF SPACE for more people. I can't recommend it enough - don't hesitate-PERFECT PLACE and wonderful owner!Did you find this review helpful? This lovely condo was excellent for our stay in Kauai! The location is great providing awe inspiring views, privacy, and easy access to discovery Kauai! The supermarket, amazing beaches with 3 miles of sand, restaurants, and hiking trails are all 10 minutes away! We did not have to rent/buy any water/beach accessories as the unit provides boogie boards, snorkels, beach towels, beach chairs, etc., etc.!! The trade winds kept the condo very cool and breezy(we stayed in July). The interior of the condo is lovely and well appointed! The owner is extremely gracious and gave us great tips for our stay! We loved Anini Beach (go to the highway, take a left back towards airport, take a left at Anini Beach sign). This beach has 3 miles of sand and we went everyday and found a secluded spot to relax...a lot of shady trees on the sand almost at waters edge). Hiking...10 minutes away...(go to the highway, take a left towards airport, take the FIRST right and follow until it dead ends! It is a very beautiful hike with a moderate slope). Dining..we simply loved the Garden Cafe at Common Ground! Best food, best value, best nutrition (organic/local produce etc)! We made it a point to dine here everyday....open 9-2 serving breakfast and lunch, closed Mondays. (go to highway, take left, take the first right after the Shell station on your left)! for dinner we loved Bar Acuda in Hanelai...great food! Total bill was $66 including drinks. Did not like the Postcard nor Blue Dolphin nor Wake Up Cafe in Hanelai. **note that the single lane bridge is under construction and it is an extremely long wait to go to Hanelai during daylight hours...after 7pm it is smooth sailing! The road to the light house (10 minutes away, go to main highway, take a left at Shell gas station, follow lighthouse signs). There is a great health food store on this road plus kitty corner from it a great bistro serving lunch and dinner and a great bakery! We did the secret falls kayak tour...not worth it to us...too crowded, water murky...hard, hard kayaking against the wind...Recommended for: People with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

We had a fabulous time staying on Kauai in this condo suspended above the Pacific Ocean. It Truly is a Slice of Paradise! There is a view from every room and the condo is spacious, clean, very comfortable and has everything you need for a fabulous trip. We would definitely return to this this exact location. Out of the entire condominium complex, this is by far the best location. Another bonus is you can follow a trail down to the beach to snorkel and see the turtles. I would highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+.

We fell in love with this condo and the beautiful "garden Island" of Kauai. Certainly, the beauty, comfort, and locale of this unit is modestly understated. We lacked for nothing. In fact, I hesitate to be completely up front about how wonderful it is for fear we'll not be able to get a booking again! The owner was attentive & considerate without being intrusive. She is such a gem! I recommend this property without reservation whatsover. As for things to do, we recommend a helicopter island tour with the original company Jack Harter on a Hughes copter WITHOUT doors -exciting! Ask for the pilot Ben Silver, who knows all the history, geography, biology of the island. He was great. We also recommend taking a boat trip to the Napali Coast and attending Smith's Luau, which had great Imu roasted pig and a fantastic garden tour & show we'll always remember! The grilled MahiMahi fish at Postcards Restaurant was fantastic! Princeville Adventures is well run and very safety conscious - we did zip-lining with them and had a great time. They also have horseback riding, kayaking, etc. and they are very close to the condo. We literally just got home today and are already planning our return trip! Go for it - you'll be very happy you did!Recommended for: People with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

Well, you never know what you are going to get from an on-line description and photographs and thist excelled all expectations. The view from every room was to die for and the abundance of windows,it being on a corner plot, meant that the apartment was always light and airy. Evelyn was easy to work with and very patient and understanding with the difficulties of moving in different currencies and between continents.S\he and Lex were friendly and generous. The accommodation lacked nothing(even a house-trained gecko)and we were so happy and comfortable during our stay. The room proportions are very generous so we did not feel cramped but comfortable in spacious surroundings We made a wise choice and have no hesitation in recommending this vacation rental to others,it is no surprise to learn that Evelyn has many"return"guests. Thank you so much for making what was already an enjoyable vacation into one that was special..Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

We have had 2 extended stays at Slice of Paraidse and have plans for future visits. Words cannot describe the beauty of this condo. Every room has views of the ocean. The sounds of the crashing waves lull you to sleep every night. In addition to the ocean, there are whales, dolphins and albatross all entertaining us on a regular basis. The condo is clean, well equipped and maintained. Any requests we have had for the owner have been met in a very rapid and timely manner. The owner treats you like a member of her family and you feel like a treasurered guest in her home. We would highly recommend Slice of Paradise to anyone who is looking for relaxing fun time on the beautiful island of Kauai. Within walking distance there is a 27 hole golf course, shopping center, restaurants and library. Less than five minutes by car is beautiful Hanalei Bay to the west and Anini beach to the east. Both are tropical beaches, beautiful and safe for sswimmng and relaxing. In Hanalei there are numerous restaurants and shops.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4
