HGTV House Hunter ON VACATION GLASS HOUSE selected this 5 Star property as their premiere home. This house has been seen around the world. Also known as the SLEEK RETREAT.
This amazing property won 'House of the Year” for many reasons including the multiple levels of modern interior design, high tech amenities and stunning location on the boardwalk of Mission Bay (ocean less than one minute walk away). The views from the living room are some of the best in San Diego with unobstructed vistas of the famous 'Sail Bay', San Diego’s downtown, and the Sea World fireworks. From the rooftop there are 360 degree views, which include the ocean.
The “Sleek Retreat” is a 3,000 sq ft home, one of the largest on the bay. It includes a sunken living room, 25 ft stainless steel ‘Fire-on-Ice’ fireplace back lit by blue neon, black granite floors, and wet bars throughout. All of the interior design elements are strictly modern while offering a warm and comfortable tone. The living room has a wall that is completely made of stained glass. The artist who created the stained glass throughout the house is a prominent designer from NY who has had work featured at the Met. It is a striking edition to the house that adds color and vibrancy to the modern interior design.
A 45' HD LCD TV retracts into the stainless steel fireplace when not in use, or pulls out and turns to face the guests for maximum enjoyment. High deg home theater screen drops from fireplace / projector drops from ceiling. Multiple zone sound system into each room including ipod hookups. Full blackout curtains in living room & master bedroom suite ensure comfort and privacy. Electric Pronto controllers operate the stereo, lighting, blackout curtains and more throughout the house. The entertainment system is piped into every room. The office is attractively designed and comes complete with everything you need to stay connected on your vacation including wireless internet, fax, printers, scanner, etc.
The master bedroom is very spacious and accommodating. It has a Stearns & Foster bed for maximum comfort, large closets, plus wet-bar with refrigerator and sink. There is a large HD LCD TV and loads of movies available on DVD, cable TV and DVR. The master bathroom has a with a sunken Roman Carrera white marble tub that is 8 ft by 9 ft, 24k gold fixtures, and a beautiful stained glass skylight. This masterpiece is mounted sends a colorful display across the master bath throughout the day.
One of the best features of the Sleek Retreat is the huge rooftop entertainment deck with Jacuzzi. There are chairs on the roof for sunbathing in the day. At night the Jacuzzi lights up with a fiber optic display complete with surround sound stereo.
The unit has a large two car garage, plus there is plenty of extra parking in nearby lots.
Many stars have stayed in this house. It is San Diego's #1 beach house rental. Your friends will be in awe when they step into the Sleek Retreat. The property’s market value is in the millions of dollars. You will love it!
Note: We own other beach houses in the same area - call me for all the details. During the Summer months from 6/15 - 8/16 we can only accept a 7 night minimum rental, from Saturday to Saturday.

There aren't enough words to adequately describe how phenomenal this house is! I came with a large group of girls to celebrate a 30th birthday, and from the moment we walked in the door we were blown away by the amazing layout, décor, comfort, spaciousness, and beauty of the place. The house is incredibly modern and has every amenity imaginable! We were 3 steps from the sand and felt like rockstars....then we found out that a bunch of celebrities had actually stayed at the house! Maurice and Emily were so sweet and responsive, and catered to our every need, and my friend said that it was the best b-day she's ever had. I definitely recommend this house, and we already booked it again for later in the summer!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Maurice the Sleek Retreat was exactly what I was looking for. My brothers bachelor party was a blast. Location was perfect, right in the center of town equal walking distance to MB and PB. And only a short cab ride to the Gas lamp Quarter. Also we caught the grand reopening to the Wave House a must hit spot. Emily was a great host and accommodated all our need. Renting this beach house was the BEST way to celebrate my birthday! The house is absolutely gorgeous! It is perfectly positioned in Mission Beach on the Bay, a block from the beach. It is walking distance from shopping, restaurants, and rentals (paddle boards, boats, segways...) We took full advantage and enjoyed a beautiful beach weekend. :) Maurice was terrific to work with. He is incredibly hospitable and has thought of everything! The house was fully equipped with anything we needed right on down to beach cruisers. :) It was a birthday weekend to remember, and not only for me but for my friends and family too! :) Would highly recommend this property for any event! Thank you again for all you did last weekend to make sure we were comfortable, and had access to all the amenities of the house! It truly was a memorable weekend, not only for me but also for my friends and family. I received messages all week from my guests about how much fun they had! Which makes me really happy! :) Your hospitality was as an important part of that weekends success as the house itself. My only worry was that Maurice was too easy to work with, I thought there had to be a catch. But there wasn't. The place was amazing and everything that the pictures and site described it as. My friends and I will be staying exlusively through Maurice from here on out! We are already planning our 2013 trip.
