Dan, I am writing to tell you the wonderful time my family and I had at your property. The drive up there was just right for a quick get away yet it was secluded enough to give us the privacy that we were looking for. When we arrived we were greeted by yourself and made to feel right at home. Both units were very clean and well appointed. It was a good thing that you have heating in both cabins since our choice of time periods gave us some cold mornings but warm afternoons. It was a treat to have fires every night, watch the moon come up, and have some quality family time together. The days were filled with fishing, playing games in the yard, and seeing the local sights. We had my wifes father-in-law and his wife come up for a couple of days and the Brass Bell was perfect for the older, stair challenged couple. I would certainly recommend your property to others and for another stay for my family in the future. Once agan thanks for making our time at the lake special.

Our family of 4 (plus our dog) spent a wonderful week at the Bellaire. The property was accurately described in the listing -- spacious, clean, and so comfortable. The lake is just a few steps away -- a beautiful, quiet lake with fish jumping out of the water & eagles flying overhead. The owner was there to welcome us when we arrived and answered all our questions. We spent most of our time on the dock & on the water, but did enjoy a few meals out -- most notably, the Friday night fish fry at the Yellow Lake Lodge. It was a great week, and we'll definitely return. Thank you so much, Dan & Joanne!

Clean, roomy cabin on a peaceful lake made for the perfect Northwoods getaway. The friendliness and hospitality shown by our hosts made us feel right at home. Even on a gray weekend in June, we felt perfectly relaxed and a million miles from the hubbub of the city. A true hidden gem.

Thank you Dan and Joanne. We had a great week at your cabin. The cabin was very clean, well laid out, well maintained and well appointed (washer dryer, multiple baths, shower, separate bedrooms for kids at the end of hall, dependable boat, firewood, etc..). The location is perfect - clean sandy beach, clear shallow water, good fishing, secluded (but yet 15 min from good grocery stores), perfect sunsets, etc. Dan and Joanne were attentive but unintrusive hosts. We'll be back for sure. Thanks again. PS - Definitely check out the historical fort just down the road (Fort Folle Avoine)!!

We just returned from a wonderful family get-together at Bass Lake. The location was perfect for our far-flung family converging from the Twin Cities and Madison. The two cabins were immaculately clean and well appointed. The screened porch was the perfect gathering place. Dan and Joanne were most welcoming and helpful. The dogs were in heaven swimming and playing in the clear water. Thanks for a great time!

Our stay in mid-September was wonderful! It was a wonderful retreat and the accommodations were great. We were able to see deer and other wild life; and, was able to go 4-wheeling and have a romantic fire just about every night. Thanks for a wonderful, relaxing experience! Can't wait until we can do this again!

We rented the cabin July7-14th and it was an awesome relaxing vaction. With the temps in the 90's a couple days the airconditioner worked great to cool the place off and made sleeping very comfortable. The cabin was clean and large enough for our family of 5 and our dog. The kids loved the swimming and fishing couldn't have been better. We also enjoyed a bonfire every night. We all loved the privacy and will be going back.

Dan & Joanne, We are sorry it has taken us so long to send our comments, but life sort of fell apart after our stay. We want to let you know that we really enjoyed the peace and quiet of your little slice of paradise! We had a great time, fishing, roasting marshmallows, relaxing on the dock, and just being lazy! The cabin, setting and all was just great! Hoping we can do it again, Soon! Thanks again for your wonderful hospitality! The Stromme's (p.s. the dogs loved it too!!)

Outstanding!! Everything we needed for a memorable vacation. Do NOT let the "manufactured" home keep you away--wonderfully accomodated and in GREAT shape--better that many cabins and hotels. Just 30-40 steps to the dock and boat (w/Honda motor!!). Crystal clear water. Loons in the morning; bald eagles at mid-day; hoot owls at night. Truly wonderful--we will be back. Dan and Joanne are the most hospitable hosts. Thank you!

We stayed July 1st-July 8th, 2006 and had a blast. The place was great, it worked well for a large group of 6! We caught enough nice size bass for 5 fish fry's and one 3 1/2 pounder that went back into the lake for the next fisher-people to catch. It was so nice to have the fishing boat, paddleboat, fire ring and fire wood, the screened in gazebo, grill, a furnished kitchen and the washer and dryer! You have a very nice place there and we appreciate your awesome hospitality! There were awesome fireworks displays right on your lake but we went to Siren for their display, which was nice too!

Date of stay 07/28/05 Thanks for sharing this wonderful place with us! It was a perfect retreat from the heat. Duluth even had 95 degrees this week!! If we weren't in the lake we wer basking in the glorious air conditioning. The fish were a little lackadasical (probably from the heat) but we still caught a nice northern and bass. All in all, this vacation was above and beyond our expectations. We spent many late nights around the campfire and taking advantage of the well-stocked game closet - you're great hosts! Until next time, The Anderson's

Date of Stay: 07/24/05 Dan & Joanne - we so enjoyed the beautiful sunrises over the clear lake. Loons, frogs, ducks and coyotes serenaded us! Thank you for your hospitality and for welcoming our pooch Abby. Her labrador water nature really took hold. We're not sure who had a better time - her or us! Thanks again, Stan & Alison. PS - Joanne - I found enough wild blueberries to make a scrumptious pie!
