This beautiful island home sits on the high bank overlooking Long Harbour on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. The largest of the Gulf Islands, Salt Spring is home to a myriad of artists and specialty farmers, making it an ideal get-away vacation spot. From May to October, the island hosts a weekly Saturday market where one can buy farm fresh vegetables, island-made cheeses, herbs, teas, homemade treats, as well arts and crafts. Artists open their studios to visitors year round with the delightful Blue Ewe tour.

There is an established arts community with live theatre, music, and performance at Art Spring, the community performing arts center. A variety of restaurants are on island and fresh fish and lamb are also available for home-cooking.

Salt Spring is a 35-minute ferry ride to Vancouver Island and the BC Ferries Schwartz Bay terminal. From there, there is easy access to the Victoria airport (15 minutes), Butchart Gardens (30 minutes), or the wonderful city of Victoria (45 minutes). Vancouver is a one and a half hour ferry ride away from Schwartz Bay or a 30 minute float plane ride from downtown Ganges Harbour.

Our home offers peace and quiet, solitude, and wonderful nature viewing. A pair of eagles live on the small island in the middle of Long Harbour across from our home and seals, otters and many varieties of birds call our island home.

The home is comfortably furnished with two bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs in its own suite-like setting. It is the perfect spot to getaway to relax, unwind and enjoy the natural beauty that British Columbia has to offer.
