Why the Owner Chose Ludlow
OKEMO IS A GREAT SKI MOUNTAIN AND HAVING THE SHUTTLE BUS ON WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS IS KEY. THE BUS RUNS ON A PUBLISHED SCHEDULE, EVERY 15 - 20 MINUTES, AND IS USUALLY ON TIME AS IT IS RUN BY OKEMO. IT IS ONLY 2 MILES TO THE SIDE OF THE OKEMO LODGE WHICH IS 100 YARDS FROM THE SKI LIFTS. MOST GUESTS PUT THEIR BOOTS ON BEFORE CATCHING THE SHUTTLE AND WALK DIRECTLY TO THE LIFTS. MUCH NICER THAN DRIVING TO A PARKING LOT AND GETTING A BUS TO THE LODGE.
The Unique Benefits at this House
THE HOME IS VERY LARGE WITH LOTS OF SPACE FOR EVERYONE. BEDROOMS HAVE CLOSETS AND ALL HAVE AT LEAST A DOUBLE BED FOR COUPLES (6 HAVE KINGS OR QUEENS). LIVING AREAS ARE LARGE AND THE DOWNSTAIRS AREA HAS THE DINING ROOM WITH TABLE FOR 12, KITCHEN WITH COOKING ISLAND W/6 BARSTOOLS AND LIVING ROOM ARE ALL OPEN AND HANDLE A LARGE CROWD. WIFI AND LARGE FLAT SCREEN TVS MAKE THE HOME COMFORTABLE.
Owner's Map of Ludlow
WE MOVED TO VERMONT, AFTER RETIRING, BOUGHT THIS VICTORIAN HOME AND COMPLETELY REMODELED IT. WE ADDED A NEW BUILDING WITH THREE BEDROOMS OVER A GARAGE AND A THIRD FLOOR TO THE MAIN HOUSE. MANY ROOMS WERE RECONFIGURED AND A DOOR ADDED TO OPEN UP THE WHOLE HOUSE SO IT CAN BE USED AS ONE HOME WITH 9 BEDROOMS. WE STAY IN THIS HOME OFTEN AND HAVE FIXED IT UP AS WE WOULD OUR HOME WITH DOWN COMFORTERS, MANY TOWELS, WORK FROM LOCAL ARTISTS AND A GORMAT KITCHEN WITH ALL THE UTINSELS NECESSARY TO COOK FOR A GROUP OF 25.

We rented the whole house - 9 bedrooms, 18+ beds. It was great house with lots of extras. The rooms are large and everything we needed was included - big pots and pans, sledding hill, neat down comforters, dishes for 30, etc. The rooms are well decorated and clean. We really enjoyed our visit. The Okemo shuttle even stopped at the front door on time every morning and took us right to the side entrance of Okemo Lodge - 100 yards from the two lifts.San

The house was great for 19 ladies from Oregon who came to hike in New England. We rented both townhouses and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house was clean and well stocked with towels, kitchen items, etc. It was very convenient have 2 kitchens/4 bathrooms for this large of a group. We were within walking distance of the town and were able to check out the various restaurants. Best of all, on our last day we saw a moose on our way out of town. A perfect ending to a perfect trip! A couple of issues came up but Jim took care of them right away and was most helpful providing info and following up with us.

Dear Jim, We returned home yesterday, but were certainly sad to leave Vermont. We loved your home and it was perfect for our families! The beds were comfortable as you promised and it was very cozy and light. It was great to have 2 kitchens and plenty of space. Thank you for all of your information and help.

Thank you so much for an awesome ski weekend. The house was perfect for us. We really appreciated that it was clean, spacious, well-located, and very well stocked with everything we could have needed. The last house we rented in Okemo was just short of a nightmare - it was filthy, unsanitary, and unsafe. I have rented many properties and had varying degrees of success with the process (that being by far the worst!). So, for me to walk into such a wonderful situation so well prepared with information and keys well ahead of time was a joy. You were tremendous to work with - so prompt in responding and helpful with information - I am very grateful for that. I will be sure to recommend the house to friends and family and should we decide to return to Okemo we will look no further. Thanks again!

Hey Jim, Your home was great. There was more than enough space for us. You probably could advertise larger groups since the loft space has a lot of extra room up there. This was the 4th year that our group has done a ski trip, and your home was by far the most accommodating. We look forward to staying with you again.

I just wanted to thank you and Carolyn and let you know that my family had a really great time staying at your house and skiing at Okemo. The house was in excellent order when we arrived. My wife commented after we had been there a while that it was probably the best-supplied house among the dozen or more we've rented over the past 15 years. We cook all our own breakfasts and dinners, so kitchen and dining-room outfitting matter a lot to us.
