We rented the whole house - 9 bedrooms, 18+ beds. It was great house with lots of extras. The rooms are large and everything we needed was included - big pots and pans, sledding hill, neat down comforters, dishes for 30, etc. The rooms are well decorated and clean. We really enjoyed our visit. The Okemo shuttle even stopped at the front door on time every morning and took us right to the side entrance of Okemo Lodge - 100 yards from the two lifts.SanDid you find this review helpful? This is second year we rented this house my husband's family all live in different states and we get together once a year in VT for skiing. We have three generations the grandchildren love it and the house is big enough to accommodate all of us. There are plenty of dishes and towels and the house is kept up very well. It's nice to be able to take the shuttle to the mountain. We are all looking forward to next year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.

What an awesome place for a big group like ours (5 Families) with tons of VT charm! Plenty of space to spread out, and the 11 kids absolutely loved the big room of beds above the garage! We rented both units. Being walking distance to heart of town was a a great, the shuttle was great for the gung-ho morning skiers, and the 5 min drive to mountain was incredibly convenient. The owners hospitality and accommodation made the weekend even more special!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our group of 14 bicyclists rented the entire house for 2 weeks. This place is BIG! It is ideally situated close to shopping, main roads, and eliminated the need to climb a big hill at the end of the day. The variety of single and queen beds was essential for our mixed group of singles and couples, and everyone had their own space. The large bedroom over the garage served as a great dorm room, but it would be better if the beds were on frames rather than on the floor. The 4 bathrooms were very much appreciated. We prepared our own breakfasts and dinners, and the kitchen(s) and dining areas accommodated us well. Having two refrigerators was helpful, as were the two sets of washers and dryers. There are plenty of nooks to find some solitude. The garage was a huge bonus for bicycle storage and maintenance. The gas grill allowed for some excellent dinners. There is plenty of off-street parking. For any bicycling groups, there is an excellent bicycle shop in town, and the riding options are numerous and exceptional. We highly recommend this house for anyone's vacation.Owner response: In the dorm room, all of the beds have been put on bedframes, so they are all off the floor.

The house was great for 19 ladies from Oregon who came to hike in New England. We rented both townhouses and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house was clean and well stocked with towels, kitchen items, etc. It was very convenient have 2 kitchens/4 bathrooms for this large of a group. We were within walking distance of the town and were able to check out the various restaurants. Best of all, on our last day we saw a moose on our way out of town. A perfect ending to a perfect trip! A couple of issues came up but Jim took care of them right away and was most helpful providing info and following up with us.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Dear Jim, We returned home yesterday, but were certainly sad to leave Vermont. We loved your home and it was perfect for our families! The beds were comfortable as you promised and it was very cozy and light. It was great to have 2 kitchens and plenty of space. Owner info
Year Purchased: 1995
About the owner: WE MOVED TO VERMONT, AFTER RETIRING, BOUGHT THIS VICTORIAN HOME AND COMPLETELY REMODELED IT. WE ADDED A NEW BUILDING WITH THREE BEDROOMS OVER A GARAGE AND A THIRD FLOOR TO THE MAIN HOUSE. MANY ROOMS WERE RECONFIGURED AND A DOOR ADDED TO OPEN UP THE WHOLE HOUSE SO IT CAN BE USED AS ONE HOME WITH 9 BEDROOMS. WE STAY IN THIS HOME OFTEN AND HAVE FIXED IT UP AS WE WOULD OUR HOME WITH DOWN COMFORTERS, MANY TOWELS, WORK FROM LOCAL ARTISTS AND A GORMAT KITCHEN WITH ALL THE UTINSELS NECESSARY TO COOK FOR A GROUP OF 25.
Why the Owner Chose Ludlow:
OKEMO IS A GREAT SKI MOUNTAIN AND HAVING THE SHUTTLE BUS ON WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS IS KEY. THE BUS RUNS ON A PUBLISHED SCHEDULE, EVERY 15 - 20 MINUTES, AND IS USUALLY ON TIME AS IT IS RUN BY OKEMO. IT IS ONLY 2 MILES TO THE SIDE OF THE OKEMO LODGE WHICH IS 100 YARDS FROM THE SKI LIFTS. MOST GUESTS PUT THEIR BOOTS ON BEFORE CATCHING THE SHUTTLE AND WALK DIRECTLY TO THE LIFTS. MUCH NICER THAN DRIVING TO A PARKING LOT AND GETTING A BUS TO THE LODGE.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
THE HOME IS VERY LARGE WITH LOTS OF SPACE FOR EVERYONE. BEDROOMS HAVE CLOSETS AND ALL HAVE AT LEAST A DOUBLE BED FOR COUPLES (6 HAVE KINGS OR QUEENS). LIVING AREAS ARE LARGE AND THE DOWNSTAIRS AREA HAS THE DINING ROOM WITH TABLE FOR 12, KITCHEN WITH COOKING ISLAND W/6 BARSTOOLS AND LIVING ROOM ARE ALL OPEN AND HANDLE A LARGE CROWD. WIFI AND LARGE FLAT SCREEN TVS MAKE THE HOME COMFORTABLE.
