The house was perfect for our annual family ski vacation, it came with everything we could needed was in excellent condition. We have rented many places over the last 10 years and this one was one of the best ever. Jim was well organized and could not have been any easier to work he made the process so simple. . Everyone is looking forward to next year already.

The house was great for 19 ladies from Oregon who came to hike in New England. We rented both townhouses and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house was clean and well stocked with towels, kitchen items, etc. It was very convenient have 2 kitchens/4 bathrooms for this large of a group. We were within walking distance of the town and were able to check out the various restaurants. Best of all, on our last day we saw a moose on our way out of town. A perfect ending to a perfect trip! A couple of issues came up but Jim took care of them right away and was most helpful providing info and following up with us.

Our group of 14 bicyclists rented the entire house for 2 weeks. This place is BIG! It is ideally situated close to shopping, main roads, and eliminated the need to climb a big hill at the end of the day. The variety of single and queen beds was essential for our mixed group of singles and couples, and everyone had their own space. The large bedroom over the garage served as a great dorm room, but it would be better if the beds were on frames rather than on the floor. The 4 bathrooms were very much appreciated. We prepared our own breakfasts and dinners, and the kitchen(s) and dining areas accommodated us well. Having two refrigerators was helpful, as were the two sets of washers and dryers. There are plenty of nooks to find some solitude. The garage was a huge bonus for bicycle storage and maintenance. The gas grill allowed for some excellent dinners. There is plenty of off-street parking. For any bicycling groups, there is an excellent bicycle shop in town, and the riding options are numerous and exceptional. We highly recommend this house for anyone's vacation.
Owner response:In the dorm room, all of the beds have been put on bedframes, so they are all off the floor.

Dear Jim, We returned home yesterday, but were certainly sad to leave Vermont. We loved your home and it was perfect for our families! The beds were comfortable as you promised and it was very cozy and light. It was great to have 2 kitchens and plenty of space. Thank you for all of your information and help.

Thank you so much for an awesome ski weekend. The house was perfect for us. We really appreciated that it was clean, spacious, well-located, and very well stocked with everything we could have needed. The last house we rented in Okemo was just short of a nightmare - it was filthy, unsanitary, and unsafe. I have rented many properties and had varying degrees of success with the process (that being by far the worst!). So, for me to walk into such a wonderful situation so well prepared with information and keys well ahead of time was a joy. You were tremendous to work with - so prompt in responding and helpful with information - I am very grateful for that. I will be sure to recommend the house to friends and family and should we decide to return to Okemo we will look no further. Thanks again!

Hey Jim, Your home was great. There was more than enough space for us. You probably could advertise larger groups since the loft space has a lot of extra room up there. This was the 4th year that our group has done a ski trip, and your home was by far the most accommodating. We look forward to staying with you again.

I just wanted to thank you and Carolyn and let you know that my family had a really great time staying at your house and skiing at Okemo. The house was in excellent order when we arrived. My wife commented after we had been there a while that it was probably the best-supplied house among the dozen or more we've rented over the past 15 years. We cook all our own breakfasts and dinners, so kitchen and dining-room outfitting matter a lot to us.

We had a great time at the house - it was perfect for our group. The kids loved sledding in the backyard, and having two kitchens is ideal for a family our size :)

This was a perfect house for a large gathering. We had 5 families together and we rented both units to accomodate all of us. We had plenty of space (it was bigger than we had expected). The bedrooms and furnishings wwere comfortable. The shuttle bus was incredibly handy. The house was well stocked with toiletries, paper towels, dish soap, etc...and we really appreciated that. We have wonderful memories from our stay. It was our first time to Okemo and found the mountain to be incredibly family friendly!

My family and friends have stayed in both the upper and lower units numerous times (sometimes rented both together when we had a larger group). It was perfect every time. The shuttle is right there so we were able to send off the kids ahead of time, and they loved having the upper loft room themselves. The spa tub came in handy after skiing too. The proximity to downtown is perfect; just walk to all the restaurants!

We're fairly frequent vacation home renters, and my family and friends have stayed here several times, during both ski season and during the summer. Great location (easy walk to stores & restaurants, and easy access to the mountain). Beautifully renovated victorian home (e.g., gorgeous hardwood floors, fully equipped kitchen with very good quality cooking/dining essentials). Very comfortable beds w/ down comforters. Perfect for big group of adults & kids (ours love the 'cowboy room' above the garage in lower unit which can sleep several kids). A great spot for several families that allows both 'privacy' and spacious common areas for everyone to be together. Shuttle to/from Okemo works out great (good way to avoid the traffic). Highly recommend this property!

We rented the whole house there were 18 of us and it was a great place has plenty of room for everyone and very closed to town and we had 7 kids with us who just loved the room over the garage didn't hear a peep out of them from up there, the two kitchen were great the kids used the one as a what they called 5 cousins cafe and made us adults breakfest and such from there. Plenty of pots and pan and bowls and dishes and towel and such i could not believe how many there are. This home is very well stocked and very nice very clean , the owners had just put in new cable boxes the one upstairs didn't want to work when we first got there but a call into the lady who takes care of place for jim and carolynn and she had it fix by the next business day very good about returning phone calls, i also got a call from carolyn but it was on my cell phone and i didn't get service up there so i didn't get it until i got home but that was fine. I would recommend this place to anyone and hope we can return again and hope that everything was found to be in great shape when we left. Thank again Jim and Carolynn for letting us use your wonderful home.

The home is excellent...a comfortable place to stay. It is obvious that the owners put a lot of TLC into it. The house was well stocked and in excellent condition. The location is a brief walk to town with many activities. Great location for skiing or just a Vermont getaway vacation. The combined house is a great place for a large family reunion, which is what we did and all enjoyed. We will likely rent again.

We rented the whole house - 9 bedrooms, 18+ beds. It was great house with lots of extras. The rooms are large and everything we needed was included - big pots and pans, sledding hill, neat down comforters, dishes for 30, etc. The rooms are well decorated and clean. We really enjoyed our visit. The Okemo shuttle even stopped at the front door on time every morning and took us right to the side entrance of Okemo Lodge - 100 yards from the two lifts.San

Stayed in Lower and Upper Townhouse and had a great skiing weekend. Shuttle Bus to Okemo worked well. Home equipped with everything!! Very large with plenty of room for 25. Separate TV rooms work for kids. Living room/kitchen w/barstools/dining room all open - more that enough space for evening gatherings for the whole house

Lower Townhouse was great for 15 people. Well furnished with large bedrooms and lots of space for everyone. Kids loved dorm room that has four beds and loved separate TV/VCR room for games. Shuttle worked on schedule. Kids rode it on their own - like school bus. Great to be able to walk to restaurants and shops in town. Easy walk home at night after dinner.
