Commanding views of the Pacific Ocean are the centerpiece of this comfortable bluff-top property. Located in a quiet neighborhood on the Mesa, this 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is a relaxing year-round retreat.
Seaview is adjacent to the rambling 40-acre Douglas Family Preserve; which offers many walking and biking trails, in addition to access to nearby Hendry's Beach. The "Mesa Lane" beach is an easy 3 block stroll in the other direction. Nicknamed "1000 Steps", a stable stairway leads you down to this popular surfing and beachcombing beach.
Throughout the home, floor to ceiling windows allow uninterrupted views of the Channel Islands and the coastline. Step outside to the backyard, where migrating whales, playful dolphins, and curious seals are frequently seen in the waters below. The yard has a nice outdoor dining table. It is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine and a peaceful meal. Sunsets are amazing from this incredible spot, with Fall and Winter offering the best months for a dramatic show of sunset colors.
The Great Room with high ceilings and corner windows is spacious and bright; providing a wonderful environment for relaxing. A flat screen TV and a contemporary Juke Box add to the entertainment. The nearby fireplace warms the space for cozy winter nights. The dining table which seats 8 is located in front of a large glass window overlooking the pool area.
The kitchen is fully equipped for easy family meals. A convenient breakfast bar takes in the south facing coastline and seats 4. This is a great area to chat with the chef while dinner is being prepared, or to sit quietly with your morning coffee while enjoying the serene coastal view.
The Master bedroom, decorated in soothing cool colors, has a King size bed and TV, and private bathroom. Sliding glass doors open to the ocean views.
The next nicely decorated bedroom offers a queen size bed, TV, and also opens to the patio and views.
Two of the bedrooms are setup as a "family-suite". There is a queen bed in one of the rooms, and a day bed with a twin trundle bed in the adjacent room. Although no door separates the two rooms of this suite, you may close the common door to create a private 2-bedroom setting, ideal for parents with small children.
This home is a relaxing retreat for the extended family, and is suitable for young and old alike. Safety railings are in both bathrooms, and baby amenities include a porta-crib, high chair, and jogging stroller. The pool and built-in spa are fully fenced for added safety.

What a lovely place you have! My family came out to celebrate my mom's 60th b-day and the accommodations could not have been better. We had so much fun just hanging out and playing cards. The living area is set-up beautifully to accommodate everybody's needs. The breathtaking views from every room made choosing rooms easy. Both nights we enjoyed listening to the rain and thunder - only to be awakened by the beautiful sunshine. Thank you so much for sharing your slice of heaven. We would love to return. One more thing, we were so impressed with the prompt shower head repair. Thank you!
