Best stay on Oahu we ever had

Guest: hangloose2011 (Germany)
Date of Stay: 12/17/11 Review Submitted: 01/23/12

The title says all there is to say. We had a wonderful stay with Carole and Grady. Lovely maintained house and garden / pool area. Very quiet and peaceful to just hang out and relax. Carole and Grady are such lovely hosts and always there when you need ´em. The room is very comfy and very clean. You feel at home right away. The fridge is full when you arrive! You wouldn´t expect that but it shows just how much passion Carole and Grady put into having guest. Since Carole and Grady live after the motto my home is your home you really feel home. Take their advice if you ask! They know what they are talking about. 1000 stars rating !! Once we (hopefully) come back to Kailua in early 2013 we will definitely stay at Carole and Gradys place ! (And go for some more rounds at Kaneohe Klipper, right Grady ?) ;-)) Thank you guys for the most wonderful vacation we ever had on Hawaii. Mahalo from Munich Philipp and Christine

VACATION OF A LIFETIME ... COME TRUE!

Guest: Al & Roxann (Eugene, OR)
Date of Stay: 01/16/11 Review Submitted: 02/13/11

Our Kailua vacation included the incredibly comfortable and inviting accomodations of Seabreeze. The listed amenities are spot-on fabulous! From the time we entered our oasis - Hawaiian music on the studio's radio, a bowl of local fresh fruit (Yum!) and 'hawaiian munchies', a stocked fridge (grab a beer and head for the beach!) and fresh local flowers and scents .. we knew this was the right vacation for rain and cold weary Oregonians (us)! This haven in paradise is further complimented with our FIVE-STAR HOSTS - Carole & Grady. Their suggestions and advise of places to see and things to do on Oahu and in Kailua was ever so welcome - especially as 'first-timers' to Hawaii. From providing beach chairs to beach towels to cooler bags and - ever so helpful directions & maps - we had a great time every day. Mahalo to Carol & Grady & your Seabreeze haven for our vacation of a lifetime!

Owner response:Mahalo Mahalo for your kind words to describe your Hawaiian vacation at The SeaBreeze, vrbo#57791, We so enjoyed your company and exchanging stories. Please know you are so welcome at The SeaBreeze, We always give returning guests a discount too. See you two in 2012! Aloha, Carole and Grady

I had the pleasure of staying at the Seabreeze this summer for the first time. Carole and Grady treated me just like family! The amenities were first class! The bed was comfortable and relaxing, the pool was delightful, and I loved beautiful Kailua Beach just a short walk away! I plan to return as often as possible to my new found piece of heaven.

Wonderful Hosts and Awesome Vacation

Wow ! What a wonderful place. We wanted to find a place away from the big cities. Kailua is a beautiful little town and the beach is beautiful. Carole and Grady were the most wonderful hosts. They were very friendly and offered suggestions on places to go. They let us borrow everything we needed for a day at the beach, chairs, boogie boards, towels, mats and even on ice chest. The room was beautiful and well stocked with all kinds of goodies. The house and pool were beautiful and very relaxing. We wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Carole and Grady for such a Wonderful Time !

The most wonderful place on Oahu!!!

Guest: Brad, Cynthia and Kasey (Seattle)
Date of Stay: 04/05/10 Review Submitted: 04/20/10

Gosh, where to start - I guess by just letting the rest of the world in on it - that Sea-breeze is the most wonderful and relaxing place we have stayed in years. Carole and Grady, the nicest people on Oahu, they were even kind enough to put up with us golfing! They are very knowledgeable of all things Hawaiian, beaches, restaurants, sunburns... I already miss them both, such kind people. Of course the amenities that they provide are fantastic, fresh fruit, Kona coffee, jams, chips, fully stocked refrigerator, but what really makes this place special is the hosts and their kindness. They live the aloha lifestyle. Offering to let us use their ice machine each day, to fill up the cooler, (that they let us use) that we stacked in the car right next to the three boogie boards (that they let us use) which tucked in our car right into the beach chairs - yes, that they let us use... Everything else they mention is true, beautiful pool, Jacuzzi, their location is very close to beautiful beaches and a leisurely stroll to downtown. Sea-Breeze is a wonderful place, and when you go, please give Carole and Grady each a hug from us here in Seattle... Brad, Cynthia and Kasey. Mahalo.

An Outstanding Experience

Guest: Rob, Kelly, and baby (British Columbia, Canada)
Date of Stay: 11/15/09 Review Submitted: 04/11/10

We stayed with our baby at Seabreeze for a few weeks in November and could not have been happier with the experience. Seabreeze fullfilled all of our needs- nice, quiet area, clean, comfy studio, private grassy area, short walk to Kailua beach (no hotels/tourists/hype) and a longer walk to Lanikai beach (one of the best beaches I have seen in the world and the best in Hawaii according to many), short walk to a great coffee/market spot on the beach, 20 minute drive to Waikiki, fabulous pool and garden area with a wonderful lanai, bbq area, great service and nice attention to detail- the free basket of quality fruit, nuts, cheese, bread, chocolate and basic snack items was so generous that it lasted the whole trip. With options like Seabreeze we would not stay in a hotel in Hawaii on future trips. We had a different experience, a local, peaceful one, away from the busy city. Thanks to C and G for the opportunity to stay and enjoy the property, we would love to return again. A few other points: the photos are great but the place is even better in person; the walk to Kailua town and all of its amenities is an easy 10-15 minutes; Buzz's on the beach is a great restaurant, Kalapawai market on the beach is wonderful for coffee and great sandwiches for lunch; Maui tacos in town is good, and there are a few great plate lunch spots as well. Oahu can be cheap if you know where to go.

What a lovely experience on Oahu! We wanted to get away from the big City atmosphere of Waikiki and found this lovely guest house in Kailua. While there is still plenty of activities, Kailua offers a more personal experience. Carol and Grady are wonderful hosts. They offer plenty of privacy if wanted, but were always willing to help with suggestions. When they found out I love to Boggie Board they suggested Bellows Beach, and they were right, it was superb! The Seabreeze is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. Thanks!

Staying in this property has been one of the best experiences in my entire vacation in Hawaii! Upon arrival, the room is filled with fresh flowers and fruits. The backyard is very private, great for having breakfast or just relax in the afternoon... The bathroom is great, full of light, with precious linens. Luxury, green, silence, privacy, keywords to describe the property. Heartful, kind, supportive, beautiful, to describe the owners. The neighbourhood is wonderful. Just 10' walk from the beach. It's the best house I've ever rented. I wish myself to come back as soon as possible! ALOHA!

Carole and Grady were great hosts. They handle their property very efficiently while making you feel like family. They answered all my email questions and helped us to be well prepared for the trip! The studio Seebreeze was lovely. Beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable. Snacks and morning starters galore in the refrig on arrival and delicious fresh tropical fruits! Endless hot water and a king bed to die for! A refreshing pool to cool off in and the sound of the ocean waves lull you to sleep every night! Carole and Grady were great resources throughout but also ensured our privacy and peace. Agnes Portuguese Bakery, The Times Store and Don Quijotes all nearby for staples, fresh fish, plate lunches and souvenirs. Great shopping, too. Best of all, centrally located to EVERYTHING on the island. Waikiki 20 minutes away, North Shore and West Shore all within easy road access. Best bets: Sharks Cove and Hanauma Bay for snorkeling, Giovonni's Shrimp Truck and Turtle Bay for snacks, Ted's Chocolate Cream Pie for a piece of Heaven. Nearby Kailua Beach lives up to its fame, we had a romantic Beach BBQ on our last night...dinner from Don Quijote's $30.00 ....our memories...priceless. Thanks again to Carole and Grady for sharing their wonderful home.

We had a wonderful time at Carole and Grady's lovely Seabreeze on July 24th-August 2nd, 2007! Carole gave us a beautiful array of snacks and beverages. The pool was fantastic! Kailua Beach is truly the most beautiful beach in all of Hawaii. How can anyone beat powdery white sand beaches and warm ocean water? Carole and Grady were gracious hosts who gave us great ideas on dining experiences on the island. Thank you both for your special hospitality and much happiness to you!

Owner response:We enjoyed sharing our island with you, and look forward to your return. Aloha, Carole & Grady

Mahalo Carol and Grady! We were at the Seabreeze January 2007, and had the best time celebrating our 10th anniversary. Waking up to palm trees swaying in the soft breeze from all the windows in the suite was so relaxing. Carol had lots of snacks and breakfast foods for us and was so hospitable. The yard is beautiful, and the jacuzzi was nice to relax in as we enjoyed the waterfall. Kialua has the best beach, and fun kayaking. We would definately recommend the Seabreaze.

We highly recommend the Seabreeze to anyone looking for warm and gracious aloha hospitality and a five minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world -- Kailua Beach. Carole and Grady's home is just beautiful with stunning landscaping and of course the huge pool and jacuzzi are nice too. The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood - except on New Year's Eve but that's a whole other story - WOW!! Another nice thing is the close proximity to downtown Kailua - only about a two minute drive! We were so lucky to spend our honeymoon at the Seabreeze with such generous hosts. Aloha and Mahalo Carole and Grady!!

Our family had a very memorable vacation at the Seabreeze. This web site does not do the accommodations justice. As I told the owners, add a warm trade breeze, a warm and generous aloha hug, and a cute gecco sitting on a palm leaf and you'll be alittle closer. Mahalo for a wonderful time, we hope to return someday.
